Improving the Reliability of Power Supply Systems

    Get PDF
The article considers the possibility of improving the reliability of power supply systems. It has proposed to use sectioning devices - recloses for organizing ATS and AR, under voltage protection, overcurrent protection, protection against single-phase earth faults, and connection of new consumers. The level of reliability and quality of power supply of the distribution network assessed, which is carried out according to the indicative indicators SAIFI, SAIDI, RNRE and ARAE, which characterize, respectively, the number and duration of outages in the network for the period under review, the relative efficiency of reconstruction and the average efficiency of the use of reclosers

Relevance of application of irradiated starter cultures to production of fermented milk products

    Get PDF
Nowadays yogurt, fermented milk products, enriched with biologically active substances, acquire increasingly important significance in people's diets. The traditional method for producing fermented milk products and yogurt is to ferment the milk using starter cultures. The purpose of this research was to figure out if it is possible to use suspensions of probiotic microbial cultures irradiated with ionizing radiation to produce yoghurt products. Liquid live suspensions of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli, as well as a mixture of bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, propionibacteria and lactic acid streptococci were taken as a research model. The goal was achieved by receiving the yoghurt products enriched with active secondary metabolites due to using the suspensions of lysed cells of different microorganisms. We studied physico-chemical and organoleptic properties of the received products after 1, 7 and 14 days of storage

Phase boundary texturing influence on laminated compound durability under local thermal effect

    Get PDF
Destruction process modeling has been conducted for a laminated material under a local pointed thermal effect. Temperature field dependence on the coating surface texturing parameters has been studied. A mathematical model of the load distribution in the laminated material with wavy coating surface texturing under thermal effect is presented

Pathology of the Gastrointestinal Tract in Patients with Primary Hyperparathyroidism

Aim. To present data of Russian and foreign studies on the prevalence, pathogenesis and clinical picture of gastrointestinal tract (GIT) pathology in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT).Key point. At the beginning of the 20th century PHPT was considered a severe endocrine disease with specific bone and kidney complications, however in 1957 W.T. St Goar proposed a mnemonic triad to recognize this pathology as “diseases of stones, bones and abdominal groans”. A high frequency of gastrointestinal complaints, peptic ulcer, pancreatitis, cholelithiasis in patients with PHPT has been reported. Hyperparathyroidism has been shown to cause smooth muscle atony with specific upper and lower GI symptoms such as nausea, heartburn and constipation. The prevalence of peptic ulcer in patients with PHPT, according to studies of the 50s–60s of the last century, ranged from 10 to 25 %. However, studies linking PHPT to peptic ulcer development were performed before the advent of proton 1). On the other hand, the development of pancreatitis in PHPT is one of the most studied pathologies. In developing countries its frequency can reach 10–20 % due to the absence of routine screening for blood calcium. Some authors report the impact of elevated parathyroid hormone levels on the formation of gallbladder stones by inhibiting of gallbladder emptying, hepatic bile secretion and mobility of the sphincter Oddi, and changing of the bile composition. A number of studies have found an increased risk of developing malignant neoplasms of the intestine, especially the colon, in patients with PHPT.Conclusion. The digestive manifestations of parathyroid dysfunction in patients can often be overlooked, and serum calcium levels should be included in the routine examination in the presence of abdominal symptoms

Construction of layered structures on valve metal alloys by microplasma oxidation

    Get PDF
Process of layered structure materials creation based on aluminum alloys is presented. Microplasma texturing method, microplasma oxidation method and chemical metallization method were used to create these structures. Non-conductive nonmetallic inorganic coatings were produced by microplasma oxidation method. Obtained structures showed high durability under thermal stress loads due to substrate metal - non-conductive nonmetallic inorganic coating phase boundary texturing

Polarization-dependent transformation of a paraxial beam upon reflection and refraction: a real-space approach

We analyze the paraxial beam transformation upon reflection and refraction at a plane boundary. In contrast to the usual approach dealing with the beam angular spectrum, we apply the continuity conditions to explicit spatial representations of the electric and magnetic fields on both sides of the boundary. It is shown that the polarization-dependent distortions of the beam trajectory (in particular, the "longitudinal" Goos-H\"anchen shift and the "lateral" Imbert-Fedorov shift of the beam center of gravity) are directly connected to the incident beam longitudinal component and appear due to its transformation at the boundary.Comment: 10 pages, 1 figure. Formulae (32), (33), footnote 2 and Ref. 27 are added, some sentences are correcte

December 7, 2021 marks the 150th anniversary of birth of an outstanding scientist, clinician, publicist and teacher Dmitry D. Pletnev. D.D.Pletnev was convicted unfairly in 1937 and rehabilitated in 1985 by the Supreme Court of the USSR. However, several more decades of the oblivion passed. The understanding of the scientific and practical creativity of this man and his contribution to world medical history – the real rehabilitation – has begun only in the recent years. The sphere of interests and competencies of D.D.Pletnev was extremely extensive. Unfortunately, very few publications of D.D.Pletnev have survived to this day, only one short article “Hypertension (the experience of analyzing its genesis)” was found, published in the journal “Vrachebnoye delo” in 19357 декабря 2021 года исполнилось 150 лет со дня рождения выдающегося ученого, клинициста, публициста и педагога Дмитрия Дмитриевича Плетнева.
