The study used qualitative research methods. The research is intended to know and understand in more detail related to the phenomenon of what is experienced by the subject to be investigated, through various data collection techniques conducted by researchers to obtain data on "Family Communication Patterns between Daughter-in-law and In-laws who live in one house in Bendrong Village Jabung District”. The problem is analyzed using the Rogers and Kincaid paradigms. The research method used was descriptive qualitative and the sampling technique used was puposive sampling by interviewing 6 informants in Bendrong village. Data collection taken using interview guides, observations and documentation. While data analysis is collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing and conclusions. The results of the study revealed that where the pattern of communication between in-laws and in-laws often exchanges information, as shown in the chart above, where in-laws are usually the speakers or can be referred to as communicators, while the sons-in-law as recipients of messages or communicants, but usually often exchange positions within the period specific time and situation. Messages or information conveyed both by in-laws and in-laws are usually spoken directly or face to face or indirectly such as through social media mobile phones. In this case there is a reciprocal relationship between the two. Thus, the relationship between the daughter-in-law and the mother-in-law who tends to conflict will get worse if the two of them live together, because the high intensity of confusion results in a higher chance of friction

Development of Composite Adsorbent Coating Based Acrylic Polymer/Bentonite for Methylene Blue Removal

The development of composite adsorbent coating based acrylic polymer solution (APS) mixed with bentonite (ben) was investigated. The composite adsorbent coating was prepared and coated to a high surface area substrate, cotton cellulosic fiber (CCF). The APS/ben-CCF was used for a single cationic methylene blue (MB) dye adsorption system. Characterization of composition and structure of materials and coating was carried out by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and UV-spectroscopy (UV-VIS). The adsorption properties of the APS/ben-CCF were investigated as a function of solution pH, initial dye concentration and contact time as well as solution temperature of MB dye. The result revealed that the APS/ben-CCF functioned well in solutions of various pH (acidic to alkaline), achieving 100% removal of MB within 2 hours of adsorption for 50 ppm. Kinetic studies showed that APS/ben-CCF is endothermic in nature since the adsorption capacity increased with increasing solution temperature. These results demonstrate that APS/ben-CCF composite adsorbent coating is an advanced adsorbent with advantages such as easy phase separation and capability to remove cationic dyes in a short time period

Eucheuma denticulatum is a red edible seaweed that grows in the East Malaysia coastal region. The objective of this study was to investigate the α-amylase, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of E. denticulatum ethanol extract and its three fractions (n-hexane, ethyl acetate and acetone). α-Amylase activity was assessed by dinitrosalicylic acid (DNS) assay, while the antioxidant property was determined by oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) analysis. The anti-inflammatory effects of the seaweed samples were evaluated by nitric oxide (NO), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-1 (IL-1), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) activities on the interferon-gamma/lipopolysaccharide (IFN-γ/LPS)-stimulated murine macrophage cell line (RAW 264.7) using Griess reaction and immunoassays, respectively. At 10 mg mL−1, E. denticulatum ethanol extract and three fractions inhibited α-amylase activities at variable levels. The highest (67 %) inhibition of α-amylase enzyme was by the ethanol crude extract. The three fractions showed inhibition with a mean of 42 %. Crude ethanol extracts also exhibited higher antioxidant capacity (36,400 ± 23.5 mol Trolox equivalent (TE) (100 g)−1) when compared to the fractions. Crude extract and fractions (1–100 μg mL−1), also exhibited anti-inflammatory activity without showing any cytotoxic effect to RAW 264.7 cells. The present study suggests that E. denticulatum has the potential to be a promising source of effective functional metabolite. An extensive research on the edible varieties would contribute to a better understanding of their importance as functional food

On Islamic education for students of SMK Elektronika, it has been done summary material about application with image brands (brand image) Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor (EAGLE) by literacy approach. EAGLE application is one of the principals of fundamental Islamic education in the material form. The literacy of EAGLE application material, including general explanation and important notes to the EAGLE application. A common explanation of the EAGLE application which is one of the many applications for the draft in the manufacture of pieces of printed boards (printed cicuit board, PCB) computer-assisted (computer aided design, CAD), so as layout editor is easy to use to help draft board printed circuit (PCB). EAGLE application consists of three main modules, namely the Layout Editor, Schematic Editor, and Autoroutes embedded in a single user interface. All three can be accessed from EAGLE's User Interface (UI) or user interface on EAGLE application, so there is no need to change netlists between the scheme and layout. Some advantages of the EAGLE application, namely (i) cross-program (cross platform), where EAGLE can operate on the operating system (Operating System), either Windows, Mac, or Linux, (ii) the need for storage is small, there are editions free use (free of charge) or can also have the low cost, and (iii) support of the community. Important notes for implementation literacy to EAGLE application, grouped in five vital records, namely (a) view basis, (b) creation with project new and schematic, (c) reinforcement board layout, (d) loading pathways among parts (routes of parts), and (e) checking rules for design (design rule check, drc)

    Get PDF
Callus tissue of Hydrocotyle bonariensis was initiated from the leaf of H. bonariensis treated with 2 mg/l of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 1 mg/l kinetin. The culture was kept at 25°C, under light (cool white fluorescent tubes, 1200 lux). To optimize the precursors to increase the production of flavonoid, different precursors were used. The data showed that 4 mg/l proline produced the highest flavonoid yield (10.77 ± 0.25 mg/g DW). The increase in proline concentration did not significantly increase the production of flavonoid. The highest flavonoid yield (10.59 ± 0.18 mg/g DW) was produced in 1 mg/l of glutamine. No significant increase was attained in the flavonoid yield in callus treated with 2, 3 mg/l compared with the control. Phenylalanine at the concentration of 3 mg/l, successfully triggered the production of flavonoid (11.43 ± 0.12 mg/g DW), which was 23% higher than the control. The highest flavonoid production was attained in calluses treated with 4 mg/l of naringenin; and it was 19.72% higher compared with the control.Key words: Flavonoids, cell culture, amino acid, precursor

Excessive noise exposure to the workers at the workplace leads to noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). Trimming and cutting the panels, repairing defected tools and others were the activities that produced high noise levels in the composite components manufacturing. A comparative cross-sectional study has been carried out to determine the relationship between noise exposures and hearing loss in 30 exposed workers and30 unexposed workers (n=60). Respondents were selected by stratified random sampling. Noise mapping was done by using sound Digital Impulse Sound Level Meter(D-1405E & D-1422C) Type 2A. Time-weighted average (TWA of ·a-hour) personal noise exposures were obtained by using Noise Dosimeter (EDGE Models eg. 3 and eg.4). A standardized audiometric procedure was done under full supervision of OSH Doctor
