Language Functions Used by Shahnaz Haque Intupperware She Canon Trans 7

This study was conducted to find out the types of language functions and vocabulary choices used by Shahnaz Haque in hosting Tupperware She Can on Trans 7. The writer selected Tupperware She Can as the data source since it shares inspiring stories from Indonesian women to motivate others to contribute more in society. Furthermore, the writer took four steps in analyzing the data: grouping the utterances containing language function into a table, analyzing the data which contain language function, analyzing the text analysis focused on vocabulary choices and discussing and summarizing the findings. The results show that there are sixty utterances containing five out of seven types of language function: ideational-referential, ideational-metalingual, ideational-phatic, interpersonal-emotive and interpersonal-directive function. The writer also found thirteen vocabularies which have explicit meaning to deliver her message well. From the findings above, we can conclude that language function and the vocabulary choice is needed in communication because they are the point of the success of meaning delivery process

Penerapan Bimbingan Kelompok Teknik Permainan Sudoku Word Group Untuk Membantu Meningkatkan Kemampuan Interaksi Sosial Siswa SMP Negeri 6 Tuban

Kemampuan interaksi sosial sangat penting khususnya bagi seorang siswa, karena pada dasarnya manusia diciptakan sebagai makhluk sosial yang selalu akan hidup dalam suatu hubungan keterkaitan dengan individu lainnya. Oleh karena itu dalam kehidupan manusia selalu terjadi interaksi dan ini berarti menunjukkan bahwa manusia harus dapat bekerjasama dengan orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji penerapan layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik permainan sudoku word group untuk meningkatkan kemampuan interaksi sosial siswa kelas VII-G SMP Negeri 6 Tuban. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini ialah pre-experimental dengan one group pre-test post-test. Alat pengumpul data yang di pakai adalah angket untuk mendapatkan data kemampuan interaksi sosial siswa yang rendah, dan dokumentasi sebagai data pelengkap. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-G SMP Negeri 6 Tuban yang berjumlah 8 siswa yang memiliki kemampuan interaksi sosial rendah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik non parametrik dengan menggunakan uji tanda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai ρ = 0,04 lebih kecil dari α = 0,05. Jadi hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah “penerapan bimbingan kelompok teknik permainan sudoku word group dapat meningkatkan kemampuan interaksi sosial siswa kelas VII-G SMP Negeri 6 Tuban dapat diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bimbingan kelompok khususnya teknik permainan sudoku word group dapat digunakan oleh pembimbing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan interaksi sosial siswa kelas VII-G SMP Negeri 6 Tuban. Modality and Hedging Utilization of Rebecca Ahn to Maintain Language Power in the Movie: the Bling Ring

Keywords: Language Power, Modality, Epistemic Modality, Deontic Modality, DynamicModality, Hedging, Propositional Hedging and Speech Act Hedging. This research described the utilization of modality and hedging expressions by Rebecca Ahn to maintain language power in The Bling Ring movie. Modality and hedging are linguistics features which are useful and possibly be utilized when a person may desire to appear firmly aligned to an idea but wish for limiting how much it may be represented in terms of a firm promise and command. Furthermore, modality and hedging were proven as the factors to maintain language power since both modality and hedging can modify a message to appear just like what a speaker wanted. Qualitative approach is applied in order to describe the linguistic phenomenon holistically. The data is taken from The Bling Ring movie script to obtain the utterances of Rebecca Ahn as the language power holder, and the movie is watched to get the context of the utterance. The data analysis is done with the implementation of coding procedure in order to categorize and describe the findings.On the basis of the findings, it can be concluded that Rebecca Ahn maintains language power by utilizing epistemic modality in delivering the value of deduction and a story told; by deontic modality in giving order and promise, and in committing herself and or her friends to do certain action motivated by certain situation; by dynamic modality in showing her desire toward something, by propositional hedging in modifying spoken ideas; and by speech act hedging in modifying an order into a request to hide the force. Although it is mostly believed that power only can be possessed through social status or position, the utilization of certain linguistic features such as modality and hedging can support a power holder like Rebecca Ahn to control her friends to do particular intended action. Thus, Rebecca Ahn does more effort to utilize the power by demonstrating modality and hedging. It means power is possessed through effort. Thus, power is noticed when the Rebecca Ahn's friends perform an action which Rebecca Ahn expects them to do.Finally, the researcher suggests the next researcher to; find a character's motives of language power utilization in order to gain deeper understanding, and; employ modal logic model proposed by Portner (2009) to get more exact analysis to avoid subjective bias. Meanwhile, The Faculty of Cultural Studies of Universitas Brawijaya can consider this topic to be taught in the Discourse Analysis class to give students the knowledge of applied discourse

[Influence of Shading on the Growth of Green Mustard (Brassica Juncea L.) Cultured in Hydroponic Dft ( Deep Flow Technique]

The study aims to determine the response of green mustard (Brassica juncea L.) to the shade. This study used a randomized complete block design (RCB). Treatment consisted of T0 (control), T1 (one shade), T2 (two shades with one shade slightly slided to the east), T3 (two shades with one shade slightly slided to the west) and T4 (three shades). Shade in the form of plywood to the width and the distance between the shade of 12 cm are placed 50 cm above the gutter extends. Gutters along the 4 m with plant spacing of 10 cm is used as a nutrient. Comparison of fertilizer ( a : b) and water for 250 ml : 250 ml : 50 liter. Experiment used gutters as the growing media which were devided into three parts, namely B1 (section near the aerator), B2 (middle gutter) and B3 (the farthest part of aerator). Nutrient solution is circulated at flow rate of 1.2 cm/sec by using a small pump, which was also functioned as the aerator. Data was analyzed by using the analysis of variance test and LSD multiple comparisons. The results showed that T2 (two shades with one shade slightly slided to the east) produces the best respons with plant height (33,07 cm) and final weight (436,47 g). The result also showed that all environmental parameters (EC, DO, and pH) observed a long the gutter were not significantly different, indicating that the nutrient solution was quite homogeneous throughout the gutters

The Implication of Misstatement to Retained Earning Based on SAK

This study examines the implications of misstatement to retained earnings based on Financial Accounting Standards (SAK). It takes manufacturing companies in Indonesia as case study. The study found several misstatements such as misstatements on receivables, taxes on prepaid rent, rent, depreciation, account payable, interest loan, and classification of loan. The results of the study found that the implications of misstatement is the decline in retained earnings by 26%. Misstatements that are not recorded will cause the financial statements to be unreliable. Pengembangan Alper Aljabar untuk Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Salatiga

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat peraga untuk siswa kelas VII SMP khususnya pada materi pengenalan bentuk aljabar serta operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bentuk aljabar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah R & D (Research and Development). Model pengembangan pada penelitian ini adalah ADDIE (Analyyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini adalah 28 siswa kelas VII G SMP Negeri 3 Salatiga. Tekhnik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, pretest dan posttest, lembar pendapat siswa. Analisis data meliputi analisis hasil observasi, analisis validasi dan kepraktisan, analisis keefektifan yang dilihat dari hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ALPER aljabar matematika Valid karena ALPER aljabar matematika telah melalui tahap validasi dari 3 validator dan telah melalui revisi berdasarkan kritik dan saran validator yang meliputi aspek ALPER, tampilan, dan materi. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dari keseluruhan aspek diperoleh 80,73% yang termasuk dalam kategori baik. Efektif, dilihat berdasarkan pretest dan posttest yang dianalisis dan dihitung peningkatannya menggunakan N-Gain, hasilnya terdapat peningkatan sebesar 0,47 yang termasuk dalam kategori peningkatan sedang. Praktis, berdasarkan hasil angket kepraktisan ALPER aljabar matematika yang diperoleh dari 28 orang siswa pengguna ALPER diperoleh presentasi 81,6% dan termasuk dalam kategori tinggi

Analisis Usulan Perencanaan Kapasitas Tangki Crude Oil Berdasarkan Tingkat Keekonomisan Refinery Unit X PT Y

Crude Oil merupakan bahan utama dalam pembuatan Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM) dan non BBM. Crude Oil bahan baku produksi diperoleh dari berbagai macam lokasi eksplorasi di Indonesia harus ditampung terlebih dahulu dalam tangki penampungan. Penerimaan Crude Oil melalui beberapa macam jalur, yaitu kapal tongkang dan pipa. Penerimaan melalui jalur pipa diterima selama 24 jam sehari. Hal ini mengakibatkan perlunya perencanaan kapasitas tangki penampungan Crude Oil agar dapat cukup menampung Crude Oil yang diterima oleh refinery unit. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskrispsi sistem yang dapat digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan permasalahan yang dihadapi dengan lebih baik. Perencanaan kapasitas menggunakan model matematis yang telah digunakan Perusahaan untuk dapat memperoleh solusi optimal. Hasil analisis mengungkapkan bahwa kapasitas tangki yang dibutuhkan sebanyak 1.165,79  Mega Barel (MB) per hari dengan total cost sebesar USD  668.051,55. Hasil ini dapat digunakan untuk membantu pengambilan keputusan dalam simulasi untuk memperoleh kapasitas tangki paling optimal

Kajian Keterkaitan USAha Pendukung Akomodasi dengan Penginapan di Prawirotaman dalam Perkembangan Pariwisata Kota YOGYAKARTA

Prawirotaman merupakan salah satu kawasan pendukung pariwisata. Adanya kebijakan pemerintah yang mendukung kemajuan pariwisata serta berubahnya fungsi kawasan yang semula berupa sentra pembuatan batik menjadi sentra penginapan menjadikan Prawirotaman sebagai kawasan pendukung pariwisata. Kemajuan pariwisata membuat kunjungan wisatawan semakin meningkat. Hal ni berdampak pada peningkatan kebutuhan penginapan sebagai akomodasi wisata bagi wisatawan. Peningkatan serta perkembangan wisatawan, baik domestik maupun asing, dan akomodasi wisata, hingga mendapat sebutan sebagai Kampung Turis. Hal ini menyebabkan semakin banyaknya jenis USAha baru yang mulai bermunculan. Namun USAha-USAha yang baru bermunculan tidak menghilangkan akomodasi wisata sebagai poin utama dari Prawirotaman, bahkan beberapa diantaranya mendukung kegiatan akomodasi wisata. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa ada suatu keterkaitan antara akomodasi wisata dengan USAha-USAha pendukung lainnya. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukan adanya keterkaitan antara USAha USAha pendukung akomodasi dengan penginapan. Dari semua USAha yang ada di Prawirotaman, terdapat empat jenis kategori keterkaitan antara USAha pendukung akomodasi dengan penginapan yaitu sangat terkait (restoran dan agen travel), terkait (kafe, spa/salon, warnet, laundry), sedang/cukup terkait (toko kelontong, toko pakaian, minimarket), dan tidak terkait (bengkel)

Analisa Pengaruh Grid Rasio Dan Faktor Eksposi Terhadap Gambaran Radiografi Phantom Thorax

Analysis of the influence of the grid has been determined and the ratio of the radiographic expose factor thorax phantom with grid ratio and expose factor variation to analyze the density and contrast on chest radiographs. Research methods using phantom anthoropomorphic, densitometer and X-ray equipments. Irradiation conditions are given with some expose factor variation is 55 kV 16 mAs, 65 kV 8 mAs, 75 kV 3.2 mAs, and a variety of grid ratio 6:1 and 8:1. Research data is processed and made in the form of a graph of the density of the contrast of the grid ratio and expose factor variation. The higher the ratio of the grid will cause a decrease in the density of radiographs, but does not always lead to increasing or decreasing the contrast radiographs. Results overview on to 5 thorax phantom organ that produces the highest optical density in the use of expose factors 65 kV, 8 mAs on both the grid ratio
