    The Constraints on CP Violating Phases in models with a dynamical gluino phase

    We have analyzed the electric dipole moment and the Higgs mass constraints on the supersymmetric model which offers dynamical solutions to the \mu and strong CP problems. The trilinear coupling phases, and \tan\beta-|\mu| are strongly correlated, particularly in the low-\tan\beta regime. Certain values of the phases of the trilinear couplings are forbidden, whereas the CP violating phase from the chargino sector is imprisoned to lie near a CP conserving point, by the Higgs mass and electric dipole moment constraints.Comment: 19 pages, 11 eps fig

    Q-ball formation in the MSSM with explicit CP violation

    Q-balls generically exist in the supersymmetric extensions of the standard model. Taking into account the additional sources of CP violation, which are naturally accomodated by the supersymmetric models, it is shown that the Q-ball matter depends additively on individual CP phases, whereas mass per unit charge in the Q-ball depends only on the relative phases. There are regions of the parameter space where there is no stable Q-ball solution in the CP-conserving limit whereas finite CP phases induce a stable Q-ball.Comment: 6 p

    In the framework of the recently proposed gluino-axion model, using the effective potential method and taking into account the top-stop as well as the bottom-sbottom effects, we discuss the CP--properties of the lightest Higgs boson, in particular its CP--odd composition, which can offer new opportunities at collider searches. It is found that although the CP-odd composition of the lightest Higgs increases slightly with the inclusion of the sbottom effects, it never exceeds %0.17 for all values of the renormalization scale Q ranging from top mass to TeV scaleComment: 24 pp, 12 eps fig

    Evanescent incompressible strips as origin of the observed Hall resistance overshoot

    In this work we provide a systematic explanation to the unusual non-monotonic behavior of the Hall resistance observed at two-dimensional electron systems. We use a semi-analytical model based on the interaction theory of the integer quantized Hall effect to investigate the existence of the anomalous, \emph{i.e} overshoot, Hall resistance RHR_{H}. The observation of the overshoot resistance at low magnetic field edge of the plateaus is elucidated by means of overlapping evanescent incompressible strips, formed due to strong magnetic fields and interactions. Utilizing a self-consistent numerical scheme we also show that, if the magnetic field is decreased the RHR_{H} decreases to its expected value. The effects of the sample width, temperature, disorder strength and magnetic field on the overshoot peaks are investigated in detail. Based on our findings, we predict a controllable procedure to manipulate the maxima of the peaks, which can be tested experimentally.     In this work, we adress the phenomenological consequences of explicit CP violation on direct Higgs-boson searches at high energy colliders. Having a restricted parameter space, we concentrate on the recently proposed gluino-axion model, and investigate the CP violation capability of the model subject to the recent experimental data. It is shown that the Higgs masses as well as their CP compositions are quite sensitive to the supersymmetric CP phases.     Certain meat quality traits of guinea fowl that were reared in two production systems were determined in this study. Grey guinea fowl were reared in free-range and barn conditions. Birds were slaughtered at 14, 16 and 18 weeks old to determine meat quality traits. Some digestive traits were also determined. The type of production system affected the yellowness of breast meat significantly, and guinea fowl reared in the free-range system had yellower breast meat. The pH of both breast and thigh meat increased at older ages. Water-holding capacity, cooking loss and drip loss of breast and thigh meat were not affected by production system. Drip loss of meat decreased at older slaughter ages.     Aharonov-Bohm Effect in Cyclotron and Synchrotron Radiations

    We study the impact of Aharonov-Bohm solenoid on the radiation of a charged particle moving in a constant uniform magnetic field. With this aim in view, exact solutions of Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations are found in the magnetic-solenoid field. Using such solutions, we calculate exactly all the characteristics of one-photon spontaneous radiation both for spinless and spinning particle. Considering non-relativistic and relativistic approximations, we analyze cyclotron and synchrotron radiations in detail. Radiation peculiarities caused by the presence of the solenoid may be considered as a manifestation of Aharonov-Bohm effect in the radiation. In particular, it is shown that new spectral lines appear in the radiation spectrum.
