Antichain cutsets of strongly connected posets
Rival and Zaguia showed that the antichain cutsets of a finite Boolean
lattice are exactly the level sets. We show that a similar characterization of
antichain cutsets holds for any strongly connected poset of locally finite
height. As a corollary, we get such a characterization for semimodular
lattices, supersolvable lattices, Bruhat orders, locally shellable lattices,
and many more. We also consider a generalization to strongly connected
hypergraphs having finite edges.Comment: 12 pages; v2 contains minor fixes for publicatio
Linear resolutions of powers and products
The goal of this paper is to present examples of families of homogeneous
ideals in the polynomial ring over a field that satisfy the following
condition: every product of ideals of the family has a linear free resolution.
As we will see, this condition is strongly correlated to good primary
decompositions of the products and good homological and arithmetical properties
of the associated multi-Rees algebras. The following families will be discussed
in detail: polymatroidal ideals, ideals generated by linear forms and Borel
fixed ideals of maximal minors. The main tools are Gr\"obner bases and Sagbi

Phytonematodes of the Apricot (Prunus Armeniaca) in the Southern Regions of the Surkhandarya Region of Uzbekistan
The article provides data on the fauna and distribution of phytonematodes in the root soil and root system of apricot plants in the southern regions of the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan. In the fauna of phytonematodes in apricot plants, numerous species were Cephalobus persegnis, Chiloplacus sclerovaginatus, Ch.quintastriatus, Panagrolaimus rigidus, Aphelenchus avenae, Aphelenchoides parietinus, A.composticola, A.limberi, A.blasthophthorus, A.graminis, Helicotylenchus erythrinae, Pratylenchus pratensis and Ditylenchus dipsaci
Y-Chromosome Haplogroup Diversity in Khazar Burials from Southern Russia
Genetic studies of archaeological burials open up new possibilities for investigating the cultural-historical development of ancient populations, providing objective data that can be used to investigate the most controversial problems of archeology. In this work, we analyzed the Y-chromosomes of nine skeletons recovered from elite burial mounds attributed to the 7th-9th centuries of the Khazar Khaganate in the modern Rostov region. Genotyping of polymorphic microsatellite loci of the Y chromosome made it possible to establish that among the nine skeletons studied, three individuals had R1a Y-haplogroup, two had C2b, and one each had G2a, N1a, Q, and R1b Y-haplogroups. Such results were noteworthy for the mixture of West Eurasian and East Asian paternal lineages in these samples. The Y-chromosome data are consistent with the results of the craniological study and genome-wide analysis of the same individuals in showing mixed genetic origins for the early medieval Khazar nobility. These findings are not surprising in light of the history of the Khazar Khaganate, which arose through its separation from the Western Turkic Khaganate and establishment in the North Caucasus and East European steppes

Previous issue date: 2013-08-26This dissertation aims to understand how the lived experience in Circus School
Dom Fernando - ECDF influenced formation of children and adolescents in the
Eastern Region of Goiânia identifying the role of this program for graduates of the
period 1998-2009. The study was conducted in a qualitative perspective using to
achieve the proposed objectives the following methodology: literature review,
documentary research and empirical research. We analyzed the landmarks and
public policies related to adolescence and youth in Brazil, the evolution of the
social circus proposed as an alternative teaching from the perspective of nonformal
education, in work with children, adolescents and young subaltern classes.
For this feasibility study were interviewed using semi-structured, which we
accomplished graduates ECDF enrollments between 1998 and 2009 and
remained enrolled and attending at least two years. The research revealed that the
ECDF, constitutes a major influence on its graduates, towards social
emancipation, but work the importance of working with children and youth using
the circus, which is characterized by a simple language but very attractive also
motivates them to continue participating.
seguintes procedimentos metodológicos: revisão bibliográfica, a pesquisa
documental e a pesquisa empírica. Foram analisados os marcos históricos e as
políticas públicas relacionadas à adolescência e a juventude no Brasil, a evolução
