Efficacy Comparison of Radiofrequency Denervation to Conservative Treatment in Chronic Low Back Pain of Facet Origin

Introduction. Lumbar facet joints have been implicated as the source of pain in 15% to 45% of patients with chronic low back pain. Many studies showed various and unsatisfactory results either in establishing the diagnosis or in the treatment of chronic low back pain causing lack of standard treatment for chronic low back pain of facet origin. Materials and methods. The study used quasi experimental design and was conducted in Fatmawati and Bintaro International hospital, Jakarta. The study included 60 patients in group I with radiofrequency denervation of medial branch and 60 patients in group II with conservative treatment. The inclusion criteria was based on the positive response to facet diagnostic block (Visual Analog Scale pain score decreased >50%). Oswestry Disability Index was calculated in both of groups before and after treatment. Assessments were performed at baseline, third month, and sixth months. Results. Significant difference in functional improvement between radiofrequency and conservative group was found at third month (p=0.004) but not sixth month (p=0.521). Conclusions. Radiofrequency of medial branch may provide better result than conservative treatment in 3 month but not in 6 months in functional effectiveness of chronic low back pain of facet joint origin

Introducing Scuba Diving For Fishermen Of Pantai Kondang Merak, Malang

Pantai Kondang Merak has a biodiversity of marine resources, so that the community always depend on exploration and exploitation activities through fishing, and catch lobster, sea cucumber, abalone and some of algae with diving activities. The diving activities usually in 5-30 m depth in reef area, using air compressor that will danger their live. This compressor has long regulator hose (about 50 m), during diving process the hose will be tied in their waist with 5-7 kg lead, it similar with weight belt in SCUBA diving. The hose also has other function as keep the diver from water current drifting. This method will disrupt the air supply from compressor to mouth face and endanger the life of diver. The safety diving standard is using a SCUBA set, that has a portable air supply and clean air, unlike the air that resulted by the conventional compressor. The aim of this activity is to give safe diving method and give ecotourism skill to the fisherman in Kondang Merak, thus avoiding fisherman from decompression sickness and seek alternative livelihood during west monsoon

Ruminal Fermentation and Blood Glucose at Low and High Level Intake of Growing and Mature Kacang Goat

This study was conducted to compare ruminal Volatile Fatty Acids (VFA) concentration andblood glucose in young and mature Kacang goats at different feeding levels. Eigth male young Kacanggoats weights at 12.75±2.68 kg (6-7 months) and male mature goat weights at ± 17.34±3.32 kg (8-12months) were used in this study. The pelleted complete feed was formulated to give 18,8% of CrudeProtein (CP) and 78.82% of total digestible nutrients (TDN). The experiment design was nested designexperimental 2x2 with 4 replications. The main factors (based on nested) were young and mature goatsand the second factor was low feeding (near maintenance level) and high feeding (2X maintenance).Data measured were daily feed intake, feed digestibilities, ruminal VFA concentration and bloodglucose. The data obtained were analyzed by using analysis of variance. The results showed that drymatter intake (DMI), digestible carbohydrates, digestible crude fiber, and digestible organic matter wasaffected by age (P0.05). Ruminal VFA and blood glucose concentrations were found similar (P>0.05) neither in young and mature goats. However, VFA and concentration on the 3 and 6 h on high feeding aswell as blood glucose on 3 h in high feeding were higher than those on low feeding

In vitro The Role of Paclobutrazol in Potato Seed Production (Solanum tuberosum L) cultivar Granola Kembang Early Generation (G0) In Vitro: Potato

The aim of the research was to determine the best paclobutrazol treatment to obtain superior quality seed potato cultivars. The research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory of Horticulture Technical Centre Service Unit, Gedung Johor, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia from January 2020 to March 2020. The complete randomized design with a single factor, 4 treatments, and 6 replications was used in this research. The results showed that the concentration of paclobutrazol affected the number of leaves, the shoots length, the number of shots, the number of nodes, the number of internodes, the stem diameter, and the percentage of roots formed but not significantly affected the number of roots. The M2 treatment, MS + 9 ppm paclobutrazol, showed the best treatment with an average plantlet performance value of 7.33 and the plantlets showed the compact morphology with larger stem diameter and smaller thick dark green leaves

KEJAWEN SCIENCE IN JAVANESE MARRIAGE AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR HOUSEHOLD HARMONY HOUSEHOLD HARMONY

This article discusses the application of kejawen science in marriage. The purpose of writing this article is why some Javanese people still believe and practice kejawen science, especially in marriage, whether kejawen science has an impact on household harmony. Type of qualitative article, object of research in Kotabaru Village, Central Lampung, phenomenological study approach method, primary data sources are parents of married couples, religious leaders and community leaders. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the Javanese community still believes and applies kejawen science in marriage. The reason is that it is believed that married couples have different wetons, have conflicting characters and traits, so the implication is that marriage is full of conflict and ends in divorce. Believing in Islamic divination is contradictory and forbidden for the reason of polytheism.Keywords: Kejawen Science, Marriage, Household Harmony

Rancang Bangun Alat Pengontrol Suhu Pada Proses Pengomposan Sampah Berbasis Mikrokontroler Atmega8

Compost is organic materials like leaves, straws, reeds, grasses, and even the animal faces which have experienced decomposition process by micro organism so can be used to repair the nature of soils. The aims of this research are (1) Designing Temperature Controller system by using LM35 temperature Censor with Atmega8 microcontroller, (2) Designing and constructing software using C language program to control temperature automatically, (3) Testing temperature controller device at composting machine. Research parameters include censor calibrating, microcontroller testing, and whole device testing. The research conduction got the result for temperature sensor 1, 2, 3, and 4 used LM35 censor at range 25oC – 70oC. Linear regression for censor 1: y = 0.098x + 2.059 determination coefficient score is 0,996. Linear regression for censor 2: y = 0.101x + 0.876 determination coefficient score is 0,995 Linear regression for censor 3 and 4: y = 0.098x + 2.059 with determination coefficient = 0,996. From the whole device testing, first step intake of temperature data, 30 minutes interval for 3 days: deviation score 1st day = 0.98, 2nd day = 0.906, and 3rd day = 0.937. Controlled temperature composting needs less time and produce less stink than composting without temperature control

Uji Performa Calon Bibit Sapi Peranakan Ongole Berdasarkan Karakteristik Kuantitatif dan Kualitatif

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil uji performa calon bibit sapi PO di kandang percobaan Loka Penelitian Sapi Potong (Lolitsapi) secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di kandang UPBU (Unit Pengelola Bibit Unggul) Lolitsapi menggunakan sapi PO lepas sapih yang terdiri dari 16 ekor sapi jantan dan 14 ekor sapi betina dari hasil seleksi kegiatan pemuliaan. Ternak dipelihara menggunakan dua kandang kelompok yaitu kelompok sapi jantan dan kelompok sapi betina dengan perlakuan yang sama yaitu pakan ≥3% dari bobot badan (BK ransum) dengan perbandingan hijauan 30% dan pakan penguat 70%. Pengamatan terhadap pertumbuhan bibit ternak dilakukan dengan cara pengukuran terhadap bobot badan dan ukuran tubuh sejak masuk Stasiun Uji Performa (SUP) dan dilakukan monitoring setiap bulan. Penilaian dalam uji performa dilakukan secara kuantitatif yaitu dilakukan penimbangan dan pengukuran terhadap bobot badan dan secara kualitatif dengan skoring tampilan tubuh, keserasian tubuh, kesesuaian karakteristik dengan rumpun sapi PO, temperamen, skor kondisi tubuh (SKT), kondisi reproduksi serta kondisi kaki dan kuku. Hasil penelitian sapi PO pada umur 24-36 bulan memiliki tinggi badan, sapi jantan ≥127 cm dan sapi betina ≥121 cm; calon bibit sapi betina sebanyak 9 ekor dengan rata-rata tinggi badan 125,3±3,0 cm; bobot badan 261,7±37,7 kg dengan PBBH 0,37±0,10 kg/ekor/hari; dan sapi PO jantan dengan rata-rata tinggi badan 128,9±2,3 cm, bobot badan 306,8±44,0 kg dengan PBBH 0,50±0,08 kg/ekor/hari
