Environmental and genetic factors during childhood as risks for skin melanoma : a systematic review
Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in many parts of the world. Melanoma, the most dangerous subtype, accounts for roughly 5% of all cases and more than 75% of deaths. Skin cancer is one of the most severe health effects caused by the thinning of the ozone layer, which has allowed for higher levels of ultraviolet radiation to enter through the atmosphere and reach the Earth’s surface. Children, who are in a dynamic state of growth and have natural defense mechanisms that are yet to be fully developed, are much more susceptible to environmental threats compared to adults. The objective of this systematic review is to investigate the environmental and genetic factors during childhood that influence the risk of developing melanoma later in life. Using relevant keywords, a total of 154 articles published between 1990 and 2015 were identified from PubMed and Medline via EBSCO host. Using the inclusion and exclusion criteria led to a final total of 6 articles selected for this review. Results from the findings showed melanoma risk was strongly associated with childhood sun exposure, inadequate sun-protection behaviors, possessing light phenotypic characteristics, and having a family history of melanoma. 水母漂仿生機構研製
[[abstract]]本本研究之目的在於仿生水母縮放推進機構之設計與製作,使其能如水母般的在空氣中擺動。首先,研究水母漂運動與現有機構的特性,訂定構造與運動上設計需求及設計限制。接著挑選出合適的機構,進行剛性機構與撓性機構的設計。剛性機構部份,以參考資料進行尺寸合成與運動分析,求得機構的各部尺寸與運動曲線。然後進行強度設計,評估縮放推進機構的強度、剛性。除此之外,並建立該組機構之3D CAD實體模型,使用模擬軟體進行運動及動態模擬,以觀察其作動情形,找出潛在問題,並實際製作加以測試。撓性觸腳設計部份,將傳動機構速率固定,於實作中求得撓性觸腳各部位尺寸長度。所設計之仿生水母縮放推進機構,運用單晶片程式設計與寫入,使單晶片程式控制馬達驅動觸腳的擺動,以有效進行近似水母的縮放推進動作,讓其在空中飄浮
How Pyramid Layer Affects Charitable Donations:Evidence from Local State-Owned Listed Companies
【中文摘要】企业的慈善捐赠行为一直受到学术界和实务界的普遍关注。本文基于制度逻辑视角,以地方国有上市公司为样本,通过手工查找上市公司股权结构图获得了公司在金字塔结构中所处的层级数,实证检验了企业慈善捐赠行为(倾向与规模)与所处金字塔层级之间的关系,并进一步分析了地区市场化程度对二者关系的调节作用。实证结果表明:随着金字塔层级的增加,地方国有企业的慈善捐赠倾向和规模均逐渐降低。地区市场化程度的提高能够增强慈善捐赠和金字塔层级之间的负相关关系。此外,本文还考察了慈善捐赠对公司价值的影响,发现慈善捐赠仅在金字塔层级较高时能够提升公司价值,因为此时经济逻辑取代行政逻辑占据主导作用。本文的研究结论不仅为企业慈善捐赠研究提供了新的视角,而且为深入分析金字塔结构在国有企业改革中的作用提供了经验证据。
【Abstract】Corporate charitable donations have attracted much attention in both theoretical and practical circles.Based on a sample consisting of local stated-owned listed companies,we get the data about in which level the listed companies lie by manually searching their equity structure chart,and empirically test the relationship between the companies’ charitable donations(tendency and size)and their pyramid layer from the perspective of institutional logic.To know more about this relationship,this paper further analyzes the moderating effect of the extent of local marketization on it.Our empirical results show that,with the increase of pyramid layer,both donation tendency and size of local state-owned listed companies decrease.In other words,charitable donations and pyramid layer are negatively correlated.There is a negative moderating effect of the extent of local marketization on the relationship between charitable donations and pyramid layer.In addition,this paper investigates whether the effect of charitable donations on corporate value depends on pyramid layer. We find that charitable donations can enhance corporate value only when the pyramid layer is high,as economic logic becomes dominant instead of administrative logic. Overall,local state-owned listed companies’ charitable donations are different conditional upon pyramid layer. Effect of exogenous vitamin B<sub>6</sub> on salinity tolerance of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) seedlings(外源维生素B<sub>6</sub>对棉花幼苗耐盐性的影响)
Vitamin B6 (VB6) is an essential coenzyme and antioxidant in organisms that plays a crucial role in plant responses to environmental stress. To investigate the effects of exogenous VB6 on salt tolerance in cotton and elucidate the mechanism by which VB6 regulates plant stress responses, this study applied exogenous VB6 to cotton seedling roots under salt stress conditions and measured changes in phenotypic and related physiological and biochemical indicators, followed by transcriptome sequencing analysis. The results showed that exogenous VB6 increased leaf area, stem diameter, chlorophyll content, and biomass of cotton seedlings under salt stress, while reducing the levels of superoxide anion and hydrogen peroxide in the roots. Combined transcriptome analysis with physiological and biochemical indicator measurements revealed that exogenous VB6 promoted the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) in cotton seedling roots under salt stress. Moreover, VB6 affected the expression of genes related to glutathione metabolism in cotton seedlings, leading to increased levels of reduced glutathione (GSH) and increased activity of glutathione S-transferase (GST). In conclusion, exogenous VB6 regulates the activity of antioxidant enzymes and glutathione metabolism in cotton seedlings to respond to oxidative stress, thereby increasing their antioxidant capacity and salt tolerance.(维生素B6(vitamin B6, VB6)是生物体内不可或缺的辅酶与抗氧化物质,在植物逆境胁迫响应中发挥着重要作用。为探究外源VB6对棉花耐盐性的影响,明确VB6调控植物胁迫响应的机制,本研究在盐胁迫条件下对棉花幼苗根系施加外源VB6,测定其表型与相关生理生化指标的变化,并进行转录组测序分析。结果显示:外源VB6提高了盐胁迫下棉花幼苗的叶面积、茎粗、叶绿素含量与生物量,降低了根系超氧阴离子和过氧化氢的含量;结合转录组分析与生理生化指标测定发现,外源VB6提升了盐胁迫下棉花幼苗根系的超氧化物歧化酶(superoxide dismutase, SOD)和过氧化物酶(peroxidase, POD)活性,同时也影响棉花幼苗谷胱甘肽代谢相关基因的表达,提升了还原型谷胱甘肽(reduced glutathione, GSH)的含量与谷胱甘肽硫转移酶(glutathione S-transferase, GST)的活性。综上所述,外源VB6可以通过参与棉花幼苗抗氧化酶活性与谷胱甘肽代谢的调控来响应氧化胁迫,从而提升其抗氧化能力与耐盐性。
