    Collagen-Derived Dipeptide Pro-Hyp Enhanced ATDC5 Chondrocyte Differentiation under Hypoxic Conditions

    Chondrocytes are surrounded by a lower oxygen environment than other well-vascularized tissues with higher oxygenation levels. Prolyl-hydroxyproline (Pro-Hyp), one of the final collagen-derived peptides, has been previously reported to be involved in the early stages of chondrocyte differentiation. However, whether Pro-Hyp can alter chondrocyte differentiation under physiological hypoxic conditions is still unclear. This study aimed to investigate whether Pro-Hyp affects the differentiation of ATDC5 chondrogenic cells under hypoxic conditions. The addition of Pro-Hyp resulted in an approximately 18-fold increase in the glycosaminoglycan staining area compared to the control group under hypoxic conditions. Moreover, Pro-Hyp treatment significantly upregulated the expression of SOX9, Col2a1, Aggrecan, and MMP13 in chondrocytes cultured under hypoxic conditions. These results demonstrate that Pro-Hyp strongly promotes the early differentiation of chondrocytes under physiological hypoxic conditions. Therefore, Pro-Hyp, a bioactive peptide produced during collagen metabolism, may function as a remodeling factor or extracellular matrix remodeling signal that regulates chondrocyte differentiation in hypoxic cartilage.p.7 Article number: 4664 Licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.     高速点火レーザー核融合実験用クライオジェニックターゲットの開発

    大阪大学レーザーエネルギー学研究センターと核融合科学研究所では双方向型共同研究の枠組みの下, FIREX 用クライオジェニックターゲットの開発を進めている.ターゲットのシェル内に~20 μm 厚の均一な固体 燃料層を形成する手法の開発が課題となっている.現在二つの燃料層形成手法:フォーム法とコーンガイド加熱 法の開発を進めている.フォーム法では,液体と固体の密度差から生じる残留気泡の抑制が最大の課題であり, 本研究では(フォーム材の代わりに使用した)プリズム状のエアロゲル材中に充填率約9%の固体水素の形成に 成功している.開発した手法は実ターゲットへも応用可能であることがシミュレーションにより確認されてい る.一方,コーンガイド加熱法では直径 2 mm の PS シェルターゲット中に 155~192 μm の固体水素層の形成実証 に成功している.このように燃料層形成手法の原理実証は終了し,ターゲット開発は実ターゲットを用いた燃料 層形成の実証へと移行する最終段階に至っている

    左室自由壁破裂を合併した左主幹部閉塞による急性心筋梗塞症例に対する1手術治験例

    左主幹部閉塞による急性心筋梗塞および左室自由監破裂は、それ自身単独でも非常に致死率の高い病態である。われわれは、その両者を合併した症例に対して、緊急手術を施行し救命し得た。症例は67才男性。胸痛が出現した約4寺間後、ショック状態で搬送された。心エコー検査および冠動脈造影にて上記と診断し、左前下行枝領域に冠動脈バイパス術3枝およびoozing部にGelatin-resorcin-formaldehydeglue (GRFグルー)を用いた自己心膜パッチ補填を施行した。術後呼吸不全が遷延したが、第85病日軽快退院した。迅速な外科的治療が奏効したと考えたので報告する

    This research of the third stage executed mainly the comparison of the basic researches into three years. The chief purpose was clarification of a universal part of three years. The results were summarized as follows : 1. The reason for participation was "Cheap expenditure" and "Course credit". The expected program was "Observation of constellation" and "Outdoors cooking". The expectation in the practice was "Memories-making", "Experience of happiness", "Harmony with nature", "Build healthy human relationships" and "Acquisition of knowledge and technology". Own acquisition target was "Basic technique" and "Safe procedure". 2. A new problem was a discovery of the method of thoroughly improving student\u27s knowledge and technologies. 3. Student\u27s leadership was extent to be able to do "Life guidance" and "Standard program". 4. The factor analysis has extracted the following six factors. "Mutual guidance and Consideration", "Charge program and Satisfaction", "Inspiration and Commitment", "Health condition and Stability", "Appropriate amount of activity" and "Guidance of program and Uneasiness". 5. The attitude to the student\u27s outdoors activities has changed independent and positively. The practice gave the good influence to student\u27s "Standpoint and Attitude". The practice was effective in "Understanding and Goodwill" to nature
