    Usefulness Of Behavior In Forrest Gump Movie: A Utilitarianism Perspective

    In this thesis analysis the writer has a purpose, following his purpose for 1) knowing and analyzing from aspects of Forrest Gump's behavior.2) knowing the application to Forrest Gump's behavior. The study used Jeremy Bentham's utilitarian theory. The study includes in qualitative work focusing on the key character aspect analysis and utilitarian application. The technique and analysis on this study is a descriptive analysis of this study has already found two findings questions based on numbs of problems. First, the writer found five utilitarian aspects on Forrest Gump, among them: universalism, consequences, welfare, aggregation, and allurement of every Forrest's behavior.     Psychological Conflicts of The Main Character in Fences Movie (2016): An Individual Psychological Approach

    The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the form of the main character's psychological conflict. (2) Describing the factors causing psychological conflict of the main character and (3) Describing the influence of psychological conflict experienced by the main character.This type of research is descriptive qualitative, the subject of the research is Film Fences (2016). In this study, the researcher only focused on analyzing the psychological conflict of the main character, namely Troy Maxson, using an individual psychological approach. The type of data in this study consists of two types of data, namely primary data and secondary data, the primary data in this study is the speech and conversation of the main character in the film. While the secondary data in this study are in the form of books and journals that discuss individual psychological conflicts. The data collection technique used by the researcher in this research is library research by collecting and selecting primary and secondary data. The results of this study found that based on the results of the study, it is known that there are 6 forms of psychological conflict in the main character in Fences (2016), namely 1 Approach-Avoiding Conflict, 2 Approach-Avoiding Conflict, 2 Avoidance-Avoid Conflict and 1 Multiple Approach. -Avoiding Conflict. The conflict in Approaches in Fences Movie (2016) occurs because Troy feels that in his work there is injustice that is accepted by black people. Because of that, Troy continues to protest to his manager. Then based on the results of the research it is also known that the Approach-avoidance conflict in the film Fences (2016) occurs because Bono expresses his suspicions towards Troy who looks very close to a woman. But Troy tried to deny and avoid positive statements. An approach-avoidance conflict occurs when Rose tells him that his son Cory has been accepted as a soccer player at his school. Then the film Avoidance-Avoidance Conflict in Fences (2016) is shown through a conversation between Troy, Bono and Rose talking about Lyons, Troy's son who always comes and asks for money when Troy pays. The factor causing the Approach-Avoidance Conflict is the individual factor where Troy tries to be honest with Rose about what he is going through but on the other hand he also feels very guilty because this will hurt Rose as his wife

    This study aims to (1). To explain Paulo Freire's Humanistic Pedagogy (2). To explain the type of education that can change Poppy 3). To describe what kind of awareness in Poppy Moore in Wild Children's Film related to Humanistic Pedagogy. The author uses the Theory of Humanistic Pedagogy from Paulo Freire. According to Freire, education is not like a teacher-centered bank style but should be based on dialogue, and two-way communication between teacher and student. Teachers can be facilitators and motivators. Students can express their ideas and opinions. The author uses a philosophical approach. The method used in this research descriptive-analytic which utilizes literature study and focuses on reference sources related to the topics discussed. The results of this study indicate that Paulo Freire's Humanistic Pedagogy is reflected in the film Wild Child (2008). There are 3 findings obtained by researchers. First, the Abbey Mount school rules which Poppy perceives as pressure. Second, freedom in education is seen fbythe Principal, Mrs. Kingsley. He applied it to educate the troubled Poppy Moore with a liberating education. Humanistic pedagogy had a positive impact on Poppy Moore's identity. Third, to achieve true identity, of course, requires awareness in Poppy's mind. Consciousness includes magical consciousness, naive consciousness and critical consciousness. With the freedom education given by Mrs. Kingsely, finally Poppy was able to reach her critical consciousness. Key Words

    This study aims to 1) analyze the attitudes of parents towards Auggie, Julian, and Miranda. 2) to analyze the parenting style of Auggie, Julian, and Miranda's parents. And lastly, 3) to find out the impacts of parenting style on Auggie, Julian, and Miranda's behavior in the film Wonder (2017). This study uses the theory of Parenting Style from Diana Baumrind. This research is qualitative research focusing on the impacts of parenting on the behavior of Auggie, Julian, and Miranda characters. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive analysis. From this study, three findings were found based on the formulation of the problem—first, the attitudes of each parent. The author found three tendencies of parents' attitudes, namely cognitive, affective and conative. Second, the parenting style of each parent. Auggie's parents are authoritative, Julian's parents are permissive-indulgent, and Miranda's parents are uninvolved–neglectful. And third, the impacts of each parenting style. Auggie tends to have a good nature, Julian tends to be evil and selfish, and Miranda feels lonely and depresse

Here the author focus on the theory of dialogism, and the concepts of dialogism by the dialogue of the characters in this film. This study uses the theory of Dialogism by Mikhail Bakhtin. Dialogism is that “other” is an integral part to build awareness of “self”. The “other” in Bakhtin's theory of dialogism is necessary because the “self” can never see itself as a whole. The author finds two forms of rebellion, namely Metaphysical rebellion and historical rebellion. Second, the reasons that prompted Katherine's rebellion. There are two reasons, namely the metaphysical and historical reasons of rebellion. And thirdly, the reason of Katherine distorted the facts of the murder was due to two reasons, namely jealousy and guarding honor
