A superconductor with a gap in the density of states or a quantum dot with discrete energy levels is a central building block in realizing an electronic on-chip cooler. They can work as energy filters, allowing only hot quasiparticles to tunnel out from the electrode to be cooled. This principle has been employed experimentally since the early 1990s in investigations and demonstrations of micrometre-scale coolers at sub-kelvin temperatures. In this paper, we review the basic experimental conditions in realizing the coolers and the main practical issues that are known to limit their performance. We give an update of experiments performed on cryogenic micrometre-scale coolers in the past five years

Spectrum of Skin Diseases among School Aged Children in Jos North-Central Nigeria

Skin diseases are common causes of morbidity among children in developing nations. An awareness of the types of skin morbidities seen in school children and the associated factors may enable individuals’ families and government carry out or direct preventive and therapeutic measures appropriately.The aim of this study was to assess the spectrum of skin diseases among primary school children in Jos North Local Government Area. Three hundred and ninety (390) pupils were recruited from selected public and private primary schools using multistage sampling technique. Structured Interviewer administered questionnaires were used to obtain information. Key diagnostics features were used for clinical diagnosis of major skin diseases. Data collected were analyzed using SPSS version 21. There were a total of 199 males and 191 females. Age range was between 6 and 12 years. Prevalence rate of skin disease was 36.2%. A total of 28 different types of skin diseases were seen among the pupils, with infections making up the bulk (47.3%). Among the infections, Tinea (23.9%) was the most prevalent. while dermatitis accounted for 20.7%. There was no sex predilection. Skin diseases were significantly more prevalent in children between 6-7 years ( p-0.014) and associated with lower socioeconomic class (p-0.001) and children from public schools (p0.000). Preventive and curative health services should be provided in the school health programme especially in public schools for reduction of the prevalence of skin disorders

This research was conducted to determine the influence of education and training on improving the quality of employees PT. Tekindo Mitra Mandiri Samarinda, both partially and simultaneously.Analysis conducted using the questionner method, test of the research instrument in the form of validity test and reliability test, classical assumption test of normality test, multicholinerity test, and heteroskedastisity test, double linear regression analysis, and Hypothesis tests include F-test and T-test.Based on the results of the calculation, obtained the results that the education and training variables have no effect on the improvement of the quality of employees PT. PENGARUH MARKETING MIX TERHADAP KEPUTUSAN PEMBELIAN PAKAIAN DI TOKO HARAPAN BARU SAMARINDA

The success of the business depends on the management's ability to use marketing strategies. One of the marketing strategies used is the marketing mix. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the marketing mix has an effect on the decision to buy clothes at Harapan Baru Store Samarinda.The theory used in this study is marketing management, the 4p marketing mix, product, price, place, promotion and purchasing decisions.The method used in this study is a quantitative method, the population in this study are customers who have shopped at Harapan Baru Store Samarinda, the sampling technique is accidental sampling, namely 97 samples, the analytical tool used is data instrument test, classical assumption test, analysis multiple regression, partial test and simultaneous test.The results showed that the results of the t test for product and location variables had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while the price variable had a negative but not significant effect and the promotion variable had a positive but not significant effect, the F test results showed that product, price, location and promotion variables were together - equally positive and significant effect on purchasing decision

Sunarto as Supervisor II.The aims of this research are: 1). o find out and analyze the income of East Kutai Palm Oil SMEs, Kec. Muara Wahau during the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020 when compared to 2019. 2). To find out and analyze the feasibility of East Kutai Palm Oil SMEs, Kec. Muara Wahau to be developed.The theoretical basis used in this research is financial management, financial statements, revenues, revenues and costs. This research was conducted only on PT Karyanusa Eka Daya in Muara Wahau District. The data collection technique used in this study is library research, which is an activity intended to obtain data as information material related to research in the form of data on variable costs, fixed costs, sales in 2019 and 2020. Researchers conduct income analysis using the analysis technique is income analysis and business feasibility analysis R/C Ratio before the Covid 19 pandemic.The results show that: 1). Judging from the analysis of the income of PT Karyanusa Eka Daya in Muara Wahau District, it has increased during the Covid 19 pandemic. 2). The objectives of this study are: 1) To study and analyze the liquidity of the stock prices of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2013 - 2017. 2) To know and analyze the relationship of dividend policy to stock prices State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2013 - 2017. 3) To find out and analyze the relationship between liquidity and dividend policy in state-owned companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Year 2013 - 2017 together.The analytical tool of this research is: Multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS 2.3 application.Based on f test result,it is known that the ratio of liquidity and dividend policy simultaneously have a significant effect on the stock prices.Based on f test results, it is showed that both of liquidity ratio and dividend policy significanly affect stock prices

3D Monte Carlo simulation modeling for the electrical conductivity of carbon nanotube-incorporated polymer nanocomposite using resistance network formation

High electrical and thermal conductivity associated with high stiffness and strength offer tremendous opportunities to the development of a series of carbon nanotube incorporated composite materials for a variety of applications. In particular, a small amount of carbon fibers or carbon nanotubes in a non-conductive polymer will transform a composite into a conductive material, which reveals superb potential of their future application in electronic devices. The relation between the amount of carbon nanotubes in a polymer and the electrical conductivity of it can be studied experimentally as well as theoretically with various simulation models. A three-dimensional (3D) Monte Carlo simulation model using resistance network formation was developed to study the relation between the electrical conductivity of the polymer nanocomposite and the amount of carbon nanotubes dispersed in it. In this model, carbon nanotubes were modeled as curvy cylindrical nanotubes with various lengths and fixed tube diameter, all of which were randomly distributed in a non-conductive constrained volume, which represents polymer. The model can be used to find the volumetric electrical resistance of a constrained cubic structure by forming a comprehensive resistance network among all of the nanotubes in contact. As more and more nanotubes were added into the volume, the electrical conductivity of the volume increases exponentially. However, once the amount of carbon nanotubes reached about 0.1 % vt (volume percentage), electrical percolation was detected, which was consistent with the experimental results. This model can be used to estimate the electrical conductivity of the composite matrix as well as to acquire the electrical percolation threshold

Pengaruh Kualitas Pelayanan Dan Nilai Pelanggan Terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen Gojek Di Kota Samarinda

The Effect of Service Quality and Customer Value on Gojek Consumer Satisfaction in Samarinda City. Under the guidance of Eddy Soegiarto K and Heriyanto.This study aims to examine the effect of service quality and customer value on Gojek's customer satisfaction in Samarinda Kota District. With a research sample of 100 respondents consisting of consumers who use the services of gojek drivers, especially in Samarinda Kota District. This study uses analysis tools with multiple linear regression, correlation and determination tests and hypothesis testing, namely t test and model feasibility test (F). The results showed that based on the F test or Simultaneously, the service quality variables consisting of reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and physical evidence, as well as customer value all had a significant effect on customer satisfaction for gojek drivers. Based on the t test or partial reliability, responsiveness, physical evidence and customer value, each has a significant effect on customer satisfaction.
