Making the Mechanism of Enterprise Performance Management
This paper is devoted to the development and methodological ground of a conception of making the mechanism of enterprise performance management. It describes a model of implementation of performance benchmarking on the enterprise includes the sequence of operations, which enables to connect together several key management functions, and clearly divide the performance management process into several steps. It provides both direct and feedback to ensure continuity of performance management process. Author proposes an organizational mechanism to reduce the time and resources to implement the process of enterprise performance management that consists in an organization of the branch and regional benchmarking agencies (BBA and RBA). The BBA and RBA systems are functionally complement each other, and contribute to the accelerated development of various industries and regions: RBA increases the level of innovation development of efficient enterprises; BBA raises to this level remaining, less-efficient enterprises of the industry.benchmarking agency, economic efficiency, organizational mechanism, performance benchmarking, performance management.
Decoding the urban grid: or why cities are neither trees nor perfect grids
In a previous paper (Figueiredo and Amorim, 2005), we introduced the continuity
lines, a compressed description that encapsulates topological and geometrical
properties of urban grids. In this paper, we applied this technique to a large
database of maps that included cities of 22 countries. We explore how this
representation encodes into networks universal features of urban grids and, at the
same time, retrieves differences that reflect classes of cities. Then, we propose an
emergent taxonomy for urban grids
A socio-technical analytical framework on the EHR-organizational innovation interplay: Insights from a public hospital in Greece
The healthcare sector globally is confronted with increasing internal and external pressures that urge for a radical reform of health systems' status quo. The role of technological innovations such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) is recognized as instrumental in this transition process as it is expected to accelerate organizational innovations. This is why the widespread uptake of EHR systems is a top priority in the global healthcare agenda. The successful co-deployment though of EHR systems and organizational innovations within the context of secondary healthcare institutions is a complex and multifaceted issue. Existing research in the field has made little progress thus emphasizing the need for further research contribution that will incorporate a holistic perspective. This paper presents insights about the EHR-organizational innovation interplay from a public hospital in Greece into a socio-technical analytical framework providing a multilevel set of action points for the eHealth roadmap with worldwide relevance
INFORMATION FLOW ASSURED BY IT&C CONTINUITY PLANNING
Forwarding the frequent usage of complex processes and the big volume of information, it is imperative to manage the automatic circuit of the document flow in a company activity. The main advantage of such a system consist in document waiting to be procesinformation flow, IT&C continuity, maturity model for IT&C continuity, IT rationalization

Seeing the potentialities at the intersection: A reflection on performativity and processuality mindsets
© 2019 M@n@gement. In this paper, we propose to approach performativity and processuality as mindsets. We suggest that researchers interested by or pursuing performative studies should recognize more explicitly the inherent processuality of performativity. After offering broad overviews on performativity and process thinking, we highlight that both mindsets rest on a similar view of reality as processual, and both share a strong commitment to qualitative empirical work. In spite of the differences that exist between the two mindsets-such as their treatment of agency, the place of socio-materiality and their approach to continuity and change-we contend that acknowledging and engaging more directly with processuality benefits performative studies, as it helps these studies to deal with some of the challenges they often face. In doing so, performative studies could refine their analyses of managerial and organizational phenomena and would also increase their contribution to our field
Strategic marketing planning and phenomenology: challenging the dominant paradigm
This paper contends that the conventional rational model of strategic marketing planning is flawed. It is argued that the latter leads to the subsumption of individual perceptions of marketing reality within universal systemic based theories, which are unable to take account of the subjective and discontinuous worlds of marketing managers. It is proposed that in order to better understand marketing decision making in organisations, a phenomenological perspective be adopted. Further research, utilising the phenomenological interview, should aim to examine the local circumstances and practical reasoning used by marketing managers in their âlife worldsâ, as they go about making marketing decisions
Study on behavioral impedance for route planning techniques from the pedestrian's perspective: Part I - Theoretical contextualization and taxonomy
The interest of researchers for analyzing of best routes and shortest
paths allows a continuous technological advance in topological analysis
techniques used in the geographic information systems for
transportation. One of the topological analysis techniques is the route
planning, in which the constraint management must be considered. There
have been few studies where the constraint domain for pedestrian in an
urban transportation system was clearly stated. Consequently, more
studies need to be carried out. The aim of this paper is to provide a
theoretical contextualization on identification and management of
constraints to ascertain the behavioral impedance domain from the
pedestrian perspective. In this part of the research the grounded theory
was the research method used to develop the proposed theory. A
meta-model was used to (1) define the behavioral domain structure, (2)
hold the behavioral data collection and (3) verify the design of the
proposed taxonomic tree. The main contribution of this article is the
behavioral domain taxonomy from the pedestrian perspective, which will
be used to implement a module responsible for the constraint management
of an experimental application, named Router. Within this context, the
proposed taxonomy could be used to model cost functions more precisely.Postprint (published version
Strategic and Operational Planning As Approach for Crises Management Field Study on UNRWA
The research aims to study the role of strategic and operational planning as approach for crises management in UNRWA - Gaza
Strip field- Palestine. Several descriptive analytical methods were used for this purpose and a survey as a tool for data collection.
Community size was (881), and the study sample was stratified random (268).
The overall findings of the current study show that strategic and operational planning is performed in UNRWA. The results of
static analysis show that there are a relation between strategic and operational planning and crises management. In spite this
relation existence, it need more improvement and expanding.
Also there are shortcomings in the way that organization manages the crises before and after they occur. A crisis management is
only practicing during the crisis.
The study suggests that UNRWA must invest in more resources to enhance strategic and operational palming and improve other
methods to face potential crises in the future
