    Software for Checking Statecharts

HiVy is a software tool set that enables verification through model checking of designs represented as finite-state machines or statecharts. HiVy provides automated translation of (1) statecharts created by use of the MathWorks Stateflow program to (2) Promela, the input language of the Spin model checker, which can then be used to verify, or trace logical errors in, distributed software systems. HiVy can operate directly on Stateflow models, or its abstract syntax of hierarchical sequential automata (HSA) can be used independently as an intermediate format for translation to Promela. In a typical design application, HiVy parses and reformats Stateflow model file data using the programs SfParse and sf2hsa, respectively. If the parsing effort is successful, an abstract syntax tree is delivered into a file named with the extension .hsa. If the design comprises several model files, they may be merged into one .hsa file before translation into Promela. Stateflow scope is preserved, and name clashes are avoided in the merge process. The HiVy program hsa2pr translates the model from the intermediate HSA format into Promela. Additionally, HiVy provides through translation a list of all statechart model propositions that are the means for formalizing linear temporal logic (LTL) properties about the model for Spin verification

    Software Implements a Space-Mission File-Transfer Protocol

CFDP is a computer program that implements the CCSDS (Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems) File Delivery Protocol, which is an international standard for automatic, reliable transfers of files of data between locations on Earth and in outer space. CFDP administers concurrent file transfers in both directions, delivery of data out of transmission order, reliable and unreliable transmission modes, and automatic retransmission of lost or corrupted data by use of one or more of several lost-segment-detection modes. The program also implements several data-integrity measures, including file checksums and optional cyclic redundancy checks for each protocol data unit. The metadata accompanying each file can include messages to users application programs and commands for operating on remote file systems

In an effort to understand the meaning of things, my art practice is concerned with the potential for spaces to apprehend individuality through the experience of introspection by way of entering and discovering a foreign landscape. This paper explores my theoretical and practice- based research which focuses on the garden as a place that is conducive to a stillness and contemplation. A state that can lead to meditation or imagination through its muted aesthetics, material reverence, dream-likeness and subtle cultural references. The exhibition It Will Come Like a Wave is the result of my MFA in Visual Arts thesis research. Per the installation conceiving of moments of water dripping and pooling, plant life emerging from the seams and earthy formations that possess a history, I investigate how direct experiences of place allow the viewer to establish our vulnerability as human beings and even cultivate moral sensibility

Bovine tuberculosis (BTB) is a zoonotic disease that causes big losses to the livestock industry and represents a risk to public health in many countries. The epidemiology of BTB is quite complex, the bacilli grows very slowly, it can remain in dormancy for long periods of time and affects different animal species, including non-reservoir wildlife. Because of this, international efforts have been focus on developing genotyping techniques for better understand the epidemiology of the disease and trace back sources of infection. Nowadays, genotyping is based on the polymorphism of genetic markers with variation in stability. In this paper, the role of RFLP, spoligotyping and VNTR in genotyping M. bovis is discussed. The possibility of creating national and international dynamic databases of genotypes that support policies to eradicate the disease from cattle is analyzed.

Ramification theory of reciprocity sheaves, I, Zariski-Nagata purity

We prove a Zariski-Nagata purity theorem for the motivic ramification filtration of a reciprocity sheaf. An important tool in the proof is a generalization of the Kato-Saito reciprocity map from geometric global class field theory to all reciprocity sheaves. As a corollary we obtain cut-by-curves and cut-by-surfaces criteria for various ramification filtrations. In some cases this reproves known theorems, in some cases we obtain new results
