Online Learning in the Post-Covid-19 Scenario
57-62Online teaching should continue at least as a supplement to classroom teaching to reinforce learning, or as an additional mode of teaching splitting the class. It should never replace the role of a classroom teacher. In the good number of present-day classrooms, the strength is more than 60. No more the strength could be maintained if the norm of ‘social distancing’ is in vogue. Students, in general, do not maintain social distancing on their own, and they normally view the formal education environment as an opportunity for socializing and physical closeness. However, there are challenges in online learning which will have to be overcome since this is the need of the hour

Influential Factors for Hospital Management Maturity Models in a post-Covid-19 scenario - Systematic Literature Review
The importance of Maturity Models in the health area was proven to support, monitor and direct health organizations to better plan and execute to their investments and developments. In this work, two reviews of the literature were collected: one of them focuses on identifying the main maturity models developed in the health area, the similarities, and gaps between them, identifying which are the Influencing Factors and, the other one, is to identify the lessons learned during the Covid-19 pandemic. In a pandemic scenario, the health sectors demonstrated the importance of the resilience, in which health systems had to adapt abruptly, considering physical structures; professional management; patient safety; supply chain and; technologies. Technologies, played an essential role to mitigating the pressure that health systems faced due to the increase in health costs, growth of chronic diseases, population aging, population’s expectation for more personalized health and, added to that, the confrontation of Covid-19 pandemic. In this sense, we identified the lack of maturity models that address the adversities that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic in health systems for better hospital management and avoid the pressure to which they could be subjected again.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Do Italian people still wear masks? Analysis of personality and dispositional correlates of facemask use in post Covid-19 scenario
Face mask wearing is a low-cost preventative measure for the Covid-19 pandemic. In Italy, face masks
are no longer mandatory indoors from the 1st
of May 2022. Some research focused on factors that
influence the choice of using masks, but less is known about mask-wearing when non-mandatory. The
present study aims to compare those who were still wearing masks indoors when non-mandatory and
those who were not, in personality traits, anxiety, depression, and trust in healthcare professions,
in Italy, in 2022. Furthermore, we analyze if resilience, reactance, political orientation, and Covid-19
vaccinations moderate between negative affectivity and the choice of wearing masks. 1151 adults,
aged 18–64, were recruited. Using the Qualtrics platform, participants filled in a socio-demographic
interview, and self-report questionnaires. Results showed that people who were still wearing a mask
indoors had higher levels of psychoticism and negative affectivity, worse mental health, greater trust
in healthcare professions, and worries about the pandemic. Moreover, resilience partially moderates
the relationship between negative affectivity and the choice of wearing a mask. These findings provide
a better understanding of individuals’ responses to post-pandemic changes, identifying the personal
and contextual aspects that can make people struggle with the process of returning to normality
Visitor Management in World Heritage Destinations before and after Covid-19, Angkor
The purpose of this research was to analyze the visitor-management tactics and strategies
in World Heritage destinations. The Temples of Angkor (Cambodia) were selected as case studies.
The analysiswas carried out in two phases—before and after COVID-19. A qualitativemethodologywas
used. Participant observation was employed for the pre-COVID-19 strategies, and recommendations
of scholars and bodies responsible for tourism were the basis for the strategies proposed for the
post-COVID-19 scenario. Grounded theory and the Atlas.ti qualitative analysis software were used.
The results showed that the public health goal, together with its related strategies and tactics,
should be added to the classic sustainability goals and the hard and soft strategies (physical, regulatory,
and educational). It was also noted that new actors came into play—those responsible for public health.
In conclusion, this new public health goal and its tactics will condition classic factors such as carrying
capacity, and can conflict with goals such as the economic and social goals. The sustainability paradigm
is maintained, but with the addition of risk society and the public health goal playing a key role.Research Group on Territorial Studies at University of CoruñaDepartment of Sociology at University of Granad

Simulations of Policy Responses During the COVID-19 Crisis in Argentina: Effects on Socioeconomic Indicators
This paper simulates the effects of policy responses to the COVID-19 pandemic on household income and employment in Argentina, using household survey data and administrative data on employment and wages by economic sectors. The paper also includes a gender and age group analysis. The results indicate that during the COVID-19 crisis, household income decreased. This welfare loss was nonlinear along the income distribution, with the lowest income earners suffering the most due to relatively higher informality at the bottom of the income distribution. The policy responses seem to ameliorate by around one-third what the average drop in household income, and prevented major increases in poverty and inequality.Fil: Martínez Correa, Julián Gabriel. Modeling and analysis of challenges for industry 4.0 implementation in medical device industry to post COVID-19 scenario
Today, the health care and medical sector is adopting digital technologies aggressively. However, this adoption also has significant challenges, especially during COVID-19. This research aims to identify and categorize the significant challenges related with application of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies in the medical device industry. An expert-based survey is carried to capture the perception of medical device industry leaders about the challenges associated with the implementation of digital technologies. Further, interpretive structural modeling (ISM) method was used for an empirical investigation of the hierarchy and interdependencies of identified challenges. The authors have proposed a mind map and conceptual model of hierarchy and interdependencies of challenges associated with the digital transformation of the medical device industry towards I4.0. Industry leaders and policymakers worldwide are defying challenges while the digital transformation of the organizations post COVID-19. The I4.0 implementation challenges identified and categorized in this research may aid as a guide for medical device manufacturing organizations while designing a strategy for I4.0 transformation and to make sure that they start on the right -footing. Most of the existing work is focused on the advantages of I4.0 for managing the organization's post-COVID-19, lacks thoroughness and testing. Owing to the identified gap, this study intends to empirically identify the critical challenges associated with applying I4.0 technologies in the medical device manufacturing sector. This study is a pioneer in identifying and categorizing the vital challenges needed to deal with this critical situation. A potential area of future research can be the validation of the identified challenges with a larger sample size
Sustainable Urban Areas for 2030 in a Post-Covid-19 Scenario: Focus on Innovative Research and Funding Frameworks to Boost Transition towards 100 Positive Energy Districts and 100 Climate-Neutral Cities
Cities generate about 85% of the EU’s GDP. As such, they are key players in shaping
and providing technological and social innovations but also environmental impact. Thus, they
must urgently engage in unprecedented systemic transformational and bold transitions towards
sustainability and climate neutrality. The contribution—taking into account that the concepts of
community resilience and urban transition have changed as a consequence of COVID-19—critically
discusses innovative frameworks and funding opportunities that Horizon Europe will put in place to
boost sustainable urban areas in Europe, driving a transition to 100 Positive Energy Districts and 100
climate-neutral cities by 2030
