    Abstrack: Picture and Picture learning method is a series of teaching materials delivered by showing pictures - concrete images that the students can understand clearly about the true meaning of the teaching materials presented to him. Thus, the main ingredient of the use of methods of picture and Picture is a picture - a picture that involves learning materials. The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of picture and Picture In the method of increasing student interest in learning social studies grade IV SDN 022 Sintong Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir. Where the research was conducted in SDN 002 Sintong Tanah Putuh. The sample used is siwi fourth grade students numbered 21 people, consisting of 9 men and 12 women. Data was collected using observation sheet for teachers, students and student interest. Analysis technique used is sheet activities of teachers, the observation sheet and interest in learning. From the results of data analysis that has been done shows a method of picture and picture can improve the learning interest of fourth grade students of SDN 022 Sintong Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir proven and is one of the exciting learning methods in the learning process in the classroom can be accepted. From these results it is suggested that the application of methods Picture and Picture can be used as a method of learning that can improve the quality of teachers and the quality of students in the school

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah siswa yang diajar dengan picture word inductive model memiliki keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif lebih baik dari pada siswa yang diajar dengan gambar biasa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eks5perimen semu; nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIII.1 dan VIII.2. Kelas VIII.1 merupakan kelas control yang diajar dengan menggunakan picture biasa sedangkan kelas VIII.2 merupakan kelas experimen yang diajar dengan menggunakan picture word inductive model. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian adalah tes menulis teks deskriptif. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan independent t-test. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diajar dengan picture word inductive model mempunyai keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif lebih besar daripada siswa yang diajar dengan gambar biasa

    Enhancing error resilience in wireless transmitted compressed video sequences through a probabilistic neural network core

    Video compression standards commonly employed in the delivery of real-time wireless multimedia services regularly adopt variable length codes (VLCs) for efficient transmission. This coding technique achieves the necessary high compression ratios at the expense of an increased system’s vulnerability to transmission errors. The more frequent presence of transmission errors in wireless channels requires video compression standards to accurately detect, localize and conceal any corrupted macroblocks (MBs) present in the video sequence. Unfortunately, standard decoders offer limited error detection and localization capabilities posing a bound on the perceived video quality of the reconstructed video sequence. This paper presents a novel solution which enhances the error detection and localization capabilities of standard decoders through the application of a Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN). The proposed solution generally outperforms other error detection mechanisms present in literature, as it manages to improve the standard decoder’s error detection rate by up to 95.74%.     PURPOSE: BCCT.core (Breast Cancer Conservative Treatment. cosmetic results) is a software created for the objective evaluation of aesthetic result of breast cancer conservative treatment using a single patient frontal photography. The lack of volume information has been one criticism, as the use of 3D information might improve accuracy in aesthetic evaluation. In this study, we have evaluated the added value of 3D information to two methods of aesthetic evaluation: a panel of experts; and an augmented version of the computational model - BCCT.core3d. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Within the scope of EU Seventh Framework Programme Project PICTURE, 2D and 3D images from 106 patients from three clinical centres were evaluated by a panel of 17 experts and the BCCT.core. Agreement between all methods was calculated using the kappa (K) and weighted kappa (wK) statistics. RESULTS: Subjective agreement between 2D and 3D individual evaluation was fair to moderate. The agreement between the expert classification and the BCCT.core software with both 2D and 3D features was also fair to moderate. CONCLUSIONS: The inclusion of 3D images did not add significant information to the aesthetic evaluation either by the panel or the software.     Decoding H.264/AVC using prior information and source constraints

    The H.264/AVC standard employs a number of errorresilient mechanisms to correct transmission errors. These methods assume a packet-loss scenario, where all the macroblocks (MBs) contained within a corrupted slice are dropped and concealed. However, most of the MBs contained within corrupted slices provide minimal (if any) visual distortions and therefore concealing them causes a superfluous drop in the quality of the recovered video content. This paper presents a novel error control mechanism which employs prior information and residual source-redundancy to recover the most-likelihood feasible H.264/AVC bitstream. Simulation results show that the algorithm recovers a number of corrupted sequences and achieves overall Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) gains between 1dB and 2dB over the standard. The proposed solution is compatible with the H.264/AVC with no additional bandwidth requirements.peer-reviewe

    Contemporary Women Filmmakers in Myanmar: Reflections on a Visit in February 2019

    Existing accounts of Myanmar’s film industry available to English speakers are more than twenty years out of date. Opening with a brief overview of cinema in Myanmar since 2000, this article is based on a recent visit to the Myanmar Motion Picture Development Department and the Yangon Film School, on conversations with staff, students and alumnae of these institutions and of the National University of Arts and Culture, and with local independent filmmakers. The purpose of my visit was to begin the groundwork needed to answer basic questions: Who are the women making films in Myanmar today? Where are they trained? What are the conditions in which they work? What kind of films they make? How do they fund production? How do their films circulate? And finally: Is there a women’s cinema in Myanmar? What follows thus outlines the context in which women in Myanmar make films today and introduces the work of a small number of them.
