This quantitative study is aimed to study the relationship between collaborative learning style, reciprocity and extroversion on knowledge sharing via social media in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). A total of 400 set of questionnaires were distributed to undergraduate students from three (3) academic colleges which are College of Business (COB), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and College of Law, Government and International Studies (COLGIS). However, only 363 set of questionnaires were return and usable for analysis. Regression analysis was performed to tests the hypotheses of the study. The result indicated that collaborative learning, reciprocity and extroversion were positively significant to knowledge sharing behavior via social media. The findings were discussed and recommendations for the future research were also addressed

A virtual community is one form of Community of Practices that resides on the internet. This community consists of people who share problems or interests in specific topics. A lot of knowledge comes from this kind of community where the members shared their knowledge voluntarily. Knowledge itself is a valuable resource that gives the owner have an advantage. This research tried to observe what are the driver of this behavior. Knowing these variables could help the organization in defining knowledge sharing system functionality. The variables collected using PRISMA Systematic Literature Review (SLR) protocols, and the hypotheses tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). From this research, we observed that self-efficacy and supporting others significantly influence someone to share their knowledge

This research investigates the aspects impacting the Knowledge Productivity Behavior among librarian by using five dimensions of Big Five Personality traits namely openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism through attitude perspectives. In the context of twenty first century librarian, the shift in the librarian's role has change due to technological changes as well as a change in the instructional, and supporting universities government needs. Thus librarian not only providing services but also producing research and publications especially in Research Universities Library. These changes have brought about a new image for the librarian with the ability to produce new knowledge base and skill set. Hence library is not only a place that provide information but also producing information. Nevertheless the librarian acceptance of this new task is not very overwhelming as we havent explore what are the factors that may lead to this scenario; reluctant to produce publication or research.Very few have attempted to discover the role of Big Five Personality traits and Attitude on Knowledge Productivity Behavior among librarians. In particular, research concentrating on Malaysian librarians is still very limited. Thus in this research the Big Five Personality (BFP) will be used in order to investigate especially in the aspects of personality and attitude

Following is the element that been investigated; knowledge collecting and knowledge donating and also one big five personality. This study has implications for both researcher and practitioner. The main focus group of student for this study would be student from public university and private university. This study will adopt a descriptive research and questionnaires will be used as the instruments for data collection. This study provides insights and broadens the understanding on factors that may influence the knowledge sharing behaviour. For practitioners, this study highlights the importance of knowledge sharing behaviour and the individual factors that resides within the individuals. It is hoped that this findings will produce guidelines for Higher Education Institutions (HEIS) in providing better learning infrastructure

Social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, have become extremely popular. Facebook, for example, has more than a billion registered users and thousands of millions of units of information are shared every day, including short phrases, articles, photos, and audio and video clips. However, only a tiny proportion of these sharing units trigger any type of knowledge exchange that is ultimately beneficial to the users. This study draws on the theory of belonging and the intrinsic motivation of altruism to explore the factors contributing to knowledge sharing behavior. Using a survey of 299 high school students applying for university after the release of the public examination results, we find that perceived online attachment motivation (β = 0.31, p \u3c 0.001) and perceived online relationship commitment (β = 0.49, p \u3c 0.001) have positive, direct, and significant effects on online knowledge sharing (R2 0.568). Moreover, when introduced into the model, altruism has a direct and significant effect on online knowledge sharing (β = 0.46, p \u3c 0.001) and the total variance explained by the extended model increases to 64.9%. The implications of the findings are discussed

Knowledge Sharing Behaviour (KSB) is an important activity for organizations and managing knowledge is critical to the organization’s survival. However, preliminary interviews conducted with two managers at telecommunication companies in Pakistan, highlighted that KSB is low. Moreover, there were limited researches devoted to the psychological factors, Islamic work ethics (IWE) and KSB in Pakistan despite the fact that more than 90% of Pakistanis are Muslim. IWE not only promotes positive ethical behaviour but also position KSB as an important facet of Islamic values. The underpinning theory of this research was Social Cognitive Theory which examined the effects of psychological factors (self-efficacy, expectations and personality traits) on KSB. Based on contingency approach, IWE was hypothesized to moderate the relationship between psychological factors and KSB. This study adopted a quantitative research approach and used convenience sampling technique to select the respondents. Four hundred and fifty data were collected from seven different telecommunication companies in Pakistan and were analysed using SPSS and PLS-SEM. It is found that there are positive relationships between self-efficacy, personality traits (except neuroticism), expected reward and KSB in Pakistan telecommunication industry. IWE did not moderate the relationship between expectations and KSB. Nevertheless, it moderates the relationship between personality (except neuroticism) and self-efficacy with KSB. The findings of this research have both empirical and managerial contributions. It validates the use of Social Cognitive Theory in understanding KSB and fill in the empirical gaps. In conclusion, managers in telecommunication industry should select employees that are extroverted, have openness to experience and high self-efficacy to promote KSB in the companies
