Review of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Lending Based on Blockchain

    Get PDF
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending is a financing business model that has gained popularity in recent years due to the ease of loan application, disbursement, and repayment processes. The volume of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Lending transactions have a significant growth. One of the reasons for the popularity of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending is its utilization of technology in both the application and loan repayment processes. One such technology gaining traction in Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending is blockchain technology. The popularity of blockchain technology lies in its ability to enhance the transparency of the transaction process. This literature study aims to address three main questions: What are the characteristics of blockchain suitable for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending , the benefits of implementing blockchain technology in Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending and the challenges of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending based on blockchain. The findings reveal that there are characteristics of blockchain that can be applied to Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending, bringing numerous benefits to the overall Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending process. However, challenges persist in the implementation of blockchain technology in Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending. The insights gained from this literature review are intended to guide researchers interested in studying the application of blockchain technology in the context of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending

    QUANTIFY PEER-TO-PEER (P2P) PAYMENT TRUST

    Get PDF
The present disclosure provides a method and system which enables P2P payment application interfaces to access data required to calculate a social accountability metric comprising a trust score indicative of good payment behavior or bad payment behavior of users using the P2P applications. Depending on the score calculated, the trust level will be assigned as “Very Low,” “Low,” “Medium,” “High,” or “Very High” for the P2P payment account of the users. This score incentivizes users to use the P2P apps more frequently and encourages good payment behavior while allowing people to make their own decisions

    Security analysis of JXME-Proxyless version

Forecasting and Risk Management Techniques for Electricity Markets

    Get PDF
This book focuses on the recent development of forecasting and risk management techniques for electricity markets. In addition, we discuss research on new trading platforms and environments using blockchain-based peer-to-peer (P2P) markets and computer agents. The book consists of two parts. The first part is entitled “Forecasting and Risk Management Techniques” and contains five chapters related to weather and electricity derivatives, and load and price forecasting for supporting electricity trading. The second part is entitled “Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Electricity Trading System and Strategy” and contains the following five chapters related to the feasibility and enhancement of P2P energy trading from various aspects

A Robust Logical and Computational Characterisation of Peer-to-Peer Database Systems

    Get PDF
In this paper we give a robust logical and computational characterisation of peer-to-peer (p2p) database systems. We first define a precise model-theoretic semantics of a p2p system, which allows for local inconsistency handling. We then characterise the general computational properties for the problem of answering queries to such a p2p system. Finally, we devise tight complexity bounds and distributed procedures for the problem of answering queries in few relevant special cases

A framework for P2P application development

Although Peer-to-Peer (P2P) computing has become increasingly popular over recent years, there still exist only a very small number of application domains that have exploited it on a large scale. This can be attributed to a number of reasons including the rapid evolution of P2P technologies, coupled with their often-complex nature. This paper describes an implemented abstraction framework that seeks to aid developers in building P2P applications. A selection of example P2P applications that have been developed using this framework are also presented

    Taxonomy of P2P Applications

Peer-to-peer (p2p) networks have gained immense popularity in recent years and the number of services they provide continuously rises. Where p2p-networks were formerly known as file-sharing networks, p2p is now also used for services like VoIP and IPTV. With so many different p2p applications and services the need for a taxonomy framework rises. This paper describes the available p2p applications grouped by the services they provide. A taxonomy framework is proposed to classify old and recent p2p applications based on their characteristics
