ANALISIS MINAT REMAJA DALAM MENGIKUTI KEGIATAN KEAGAMAAN DI MASJID JAMI’ BABUSSALAM KECAMATAN LAWANG KABUPATEN MALANG
Sigit Wahyu Tri Utomo, Nim : 201710010311106. Analysis of Adolescents' Interest in Participating in Religious Activities at Jami' Babussalam Mosque, Lawang District, Malang Regency. Supervisor (1) (2).
Keywords: Adolescents, Mosque, Religious Interest
This research aims to analyze adolescents' interest in participating in religious activities at Jami' Babussalam Mosque in Lawang, Malang Regency. The background of the problem indicates a lack of interest in religious participation among adolescents, including those involved in the mosque's management. The research questions formulated in this study are (1) What factors underlie adolescents' interest in participating in religious activities at Jami' Babussalam Mosque, Lawang? and (2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing adolescents' awareness in participating in religious activities at Jami' Babussalam Mosque, Lawang?
The research method employed is qualitative with a case study design. Data collection is conducted through interviews, documentation, and observations. The collected data are analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification/conclusion steps.
The research findings indicate that factors influencing adolescents' interest in participating in religious activities at the mosque include religious education and understanding, social influence, and spiritual motivation. These factors interact and influence each other in shaping adolescents' interest in religious activities at the mosque. Furthermore, significant supporting factors include a religious family environment and an active religious community with engaging and beneficial activities, which motivate adolescents to actively participate in religious activities at the mosque. However, there are also inhibiting factors such as social pressure, lack of free time, and technological distractions like gadgets and social media. This research provides a deeper understanding of adolescents' interest in participating in religious activities at Jami' Babussalam Mosque, Lawang. The research findings are expected to offer recommendations to relevant parties in enhancing adolescents' participation and interest in religious activities at the mosque, as well as strengthening their religious awareness
Tourists' interest in participating sustainability activities while travelling
This study examined the willingness of 1291 protected area visitors to act sustainably while travelling. The survey collected in several European countries included questions on how willing the respondents are to take part in 14 different sustainability activities such as waste recycling, saving water and energy, using green businesses and giving financial contribution. According to the results, the respondents were ready to participate in those sustainability activities that are part of some other necessary activity and not only done for sustainability. The general willingness was closer to neutral for activities which are done separately and only for sustainability and not clearly negative for any of the sustainability activities. Using a factor cluster segmentation analysis, the respondents were categorized in four different segments, which were named Locality enthusiasts, Sustainable customers, Active participants and Indifferent visitors. This study examined the willingness of 1291 protected area visitors to act sustainably while travelling. Using Multi-Disciplinary Design Challenges to Enhance Self-Efficacy within a Summer STEM Outreach Program
Research regarding STEM programs has shown that participating in these programs leads to increased knowledge and retention of technological concepts [1]. Additionally, participating in STEM programs leads to increased self-confidence, satisfaction, and interest in engineering [2]. Current research focuses on whether participating in STEM programs increases self-efficacy [3]. However, several factors can influence the effectiveness of these programs. For example, motivation influences the degree to which participants are engaged with activities as does their background knowledge [4]. Additionally, program effectiveness is impacted by the limitations of the learning context itself such that participants will be unable to complete designs if expectations for the design exceed the constraints of their environment [4]. The program is designed to introduce and educate the participants in the various engineering disciplines offered at the collegiate level and culminates in a multi-disciplinary design challenge designed as a “collaborative-benefit” competition [5]. The program is meant to drive students toward collaboration and achievement of a shared goal.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of an intensive, two-week project-based engineering program for high school students on self-efficacy and engineering identity in the participants. Results from this year’s survey suggest that participating in the program increased high school students’ perceived and actual knowledge of the engineering discipline. Completing the program also led to improvements in self-efficacy and increased interest in the field of engineering. This paper will discuss the process for developing design challenges for assessment of self-efficacy, assessment tools, and outcomes from the program delivery.Cockrell School of Engineerin
PREFERENTIAL TRADING ARRANGEMENTS IN WESTERN HEMISPHERE COUNTRIES
Many countries of the Western Hemisphere in recent years have shown interest in participating in preferential trading arrangements (PTA) in anticipation of expanding exports. Results in this paper show that export expansion depends upon the type of agreement that is formed and who else is participating. Trade of two agricultural commodities are examined; wheat, and fruit and vegetable juices. Five PTAs are examined, each including the United States and one or more Western Hemisphere countries.International Relations/Trade,
Fearless: Mike Altman
After participating in the 2011 Heston Internship in Uganda working in a community on clean water projects, Mike gained a new interest in Global Health. His interest grew and a few months ago he started an internship with charity: water, an organization working to bring access to clean water throughout the world in a way that attempts to break the traditional donation model. At charity: water, Mike is part of a greater group that is working to more closely connect people to specific water projects through financial transparency and innovative fundraising campaigns. Information processing and the second law of thermodynamics: an inclusive, Hamiltonian approach
We obtain generalizations of the Kelvin-Planck, Clausius, and Carnot
statements of the second law of thermodynamics, for situations involving
information processing. To this end, we consider an information reservoir
(representing, e.g. a memory device) alongside the heat and work reservoirs
that appear in traditional thermodynamic analyses. We derive our results within
an inclusive framework in which all participating elements -- the system or
device of interest, together with the heat, work and information reservoirs --
are modeled explicitly by a time-independent, classical Hamiltonian. We place
particular emphasis on the limits and assumptions under which cyclic motion of
the device of interest emerges from its interactions with work, heat, and
information reservoirs.Comment: 14 pages, 4 figure

Science Communication across STEM Disciplines:Who’s Keen, Who’s Not?
This is a program evaluation study of an interest group (IG) that advances public engagement by STEM researchers and provides opportunities to develop science communication skills. The study addresses these questions and observations: 1) Members of biomedical/biosciences disciplines are more common participants in the IG’s science communication activities than members from other STEM disciplines. 2) What are the characteristics of STEM disciplines that are more resistant/less amenable to participating in science communication activities?UT Librarie
Pengaruh Pengetahuan Perpajakan, Motivasi Sosial, Dan Motivasi Karir Terhadap Minat Mahasiswa Akuntansi Dalam Mengikuti Pelatihan Brevet Pajak
The aim of this research is to examine the influence of tax knowledge, social motivation and career motivation on students' interest in participating in tax brevet training. This research is quantitative research by collecting data using survey methods. The sample for this research was 77 accounting students who were actively registered at Yapis University, Papua. Sampling used simple random sampling technique. The results of this research indicate that tax knowledge has a significant effect on interest in participating in tax brevet training. Meanwhile, social motivation and career motivation do not have a significant effect on interest in participating in tax brevet training
