Applying total cost of ownership for strategic procurement : three industrial case studies.
In this paper we elaborate on a Total Cost of Ownership supplier selection methodology that we have constructed using three real life case studies which are presented in this article. Analysing the value chain of the firm, data on the costs generated by the purchasing policy and on supplier performance are collected using Activity Based Costing (ABC). Since a spreadsheet cannot encompass all these costs, let alone optimise the supplier selection and inventory management policy, a mathematical programming model is used. Possible savings of between 6 and 14% are obtained for the three cases.Case studies; Studies;
Development Of Model For Supplier Selection And Order Allocation With Discount Pricing And Expected Quality Loss
This paper discusses the development of optimization model for supplier selection and order allocation considering price discounts and quality of the components that are measured based on expectation of quality loss cost. The approach which was used quadratic loss function to estimated quality loss. The development of model is based on the drawback of previous research; where quality was measured only by defective components without considered to any loss of quality due to deviation from quality characteristics target. In the section of results and discussion of this paper is presented a numerical example in order to illustrate the implementation of proposed model. This numerical experiment performed by optimization software has indicated that the model able to generated optimal solution.

Imitation in Large Games
In games with a large number of players where players may have overlapping
objectives, the analysis of stable outcomes typically depends on player types.
A special case is when a large part of the player population consists of
imitation types: that of players who imitate choice of other (optimizing)
types. Game theorists typically study the evolution of such games in dynamical
systems with imitation rules. In the setting of games of infinite duration on
finite graphs with preference orderings on outcomes for player types, we
explore the possibility of imitation as a viable strategy. In our setup, the
optimising players play bounded memory strategies and the imitators play
according to specifications given by automata. We present algorithmic results
on the eventual survival of types
Computational tasks in robotics and factory automation
The design of Manufacturing Planning and Control Systems (MPCSs) — systems that negotiate with Customers and Suppliers to exchange products in return for money in order to generate profit, is discussed.\ud

The computational task of MPCS components are systematically specified as a starting point for the development of computational engines, as computer systems and programs, that execute the specified computation. Key issues are the overwhelming complexity and frequently changing application of MPCSs
