MAID Analysis Techniques
MAID is a unitary isobar model for a partial wave analysis of pion photo- and
electroproduction in the resonance region. It is fitted to the world data and
can give predictions for multipoles, amplitudes, cross sections and
polarization observables in the energy range from pion threshold up to W=2 GeV
and photon virtualities Q^2 < 5 GeV^2. Using more recent experimental results
from Mainz, Bates, Bonn and JLab for Q^2 up to 4.0 GeV^2, the Q^2 dependence of
the helicity couplings A_{1/2}, A_{3/2}, S_{1/2} has been extracted for a
series of four star resonances. We compare single-Q^2 analyses with a
superglobal fit in a new parametrization of Maid2005. Besides the (pion) MAID,
at Mainz we maintain a collection of online programs for partial wave analysis
of eta, eta' and kaon photo- and electroproduction which are all based on
similar footings with field theoretical background and baryon excitations in

Pogon šećerane Sladorana d.o.o. Županja
U prvom djelu završnog rada opisana je povijest „SLADORANA D.O.O.“ Županja. Zatim je
postupno obrađen proces proizvodnje šećera kroz šest faza. Detaljnom analizom obrađeni su
elektromotori difuzera, od samih tehničkih podataka , njihove općenitosti, pokretanja,
zaustavljanja pa do grešaka koje će se pojaviti na ekranu. Tada su spomenuti i neki od
proizvoda šećerane i njihova namjena. Sadržaj je potkrijepljen slikama, fotografijama i
dijagramima radi lakšeg shvaćanja i usvajanja svega navedenoga u radu.The first part of the bachelor thesis will present the history of the company „SLADORANA
D.O.O.“ Županja. Afterwards, there will be a description of the 6 phases in the production
process of sugar used in the company. A detailed analysis will show the „electromotor
difusers“, from the tehnical data to their general functions, such as turning on and off, as well

Marion most bold : feminine transgression in the greenwood
In my project, I focus on the role and depiction of women found in the Robin Hood greenwood: specifically, those of Maid Marian. Maid Marian rarely appears in early Robin Hood texts, and especially not in a capacity in which she herself speaks, so it is striking that today she has become almost as synonymous with the greenwood in Robin Hood tales as the man himself. Indeed, one of the rare instances in which Marian plays a lead role occurs in the seventeenth-century ballad “Robin Hood and Maid Marian,” which appears in only one manuscript, after the original Robin Hood ballads of the Middle Ages, and does not seem to have been popular. This seventeenth-century ballad allots Maid Marian an agency typically reserved only for Robin’s merry men. Though I agree that Marian exhibits certain transgressive behaviors, especially in “Robin Hood and Maid Marian,” by the end of Robin Hood texts—medieval, early modern, or otherwise—though the space of the greenwood allows a certain level of freedom for the men in the texts, the “good” women in the Robin Hood texts remain noble ladies who still act as they ought to even though they live outside the confines of civilized society. The same social rules of urban society continue to apply to them, and even in the few cases where the women get to demonstrate more traditionally masculine qualities, they still must end up back in their proper role at the end of the Robin Hood ballad or play.Englis
Photoproduction of eta and etaprime mesons on the nucleon
The isobar models eta-MAID and eta'-MAID have been used to analyze new data
on quasi-free eta photoproduction on the deuteron from Bonn and recent eta'
data on the proton from Jlab. In eta photoproduction on the neutron a bump
around W=1700 MeV was observed which could possibly arise from a narrow P11
state that is discussed as a non-strange member of the Theta^+ anti-decuplett.
In eta' photoproduction on the proton resonance contributions are found that

Medical assistance in dying: A gendered issue in Canada?
Medical assistance in dying (MAiD) remains a controversial topic in Canada despite its legalization in 2015. Opponents of MAiD legislation often cite ‘pro-life’ or ‘pro-choice’ arguments which emphasize the value of human life. While all eligible adults are currently able to request MAiD, scholars, citizens, and religious organizations have expressed concerns that women, as a marginalized group, are at risk to request assisted dying due to gendered circumstances rather than personal choice. My research investigates the claim that women’s lives are threatened by MAiD legislation and analyzes the ways in which MAiD is a gendered issue. Drawing from seventeen academic, government, and grey literature sources, I identify and challenge three key discursive categories used to present women as vulnerable under MAiD legislation. I argue that opponents of MAiD legislation co-opt feminist discourses to make normative claims which resonate with the values of individualism in Canadian liberal democratic society. In doing so, opponents of MAiD reproduce the same gender issues they claim to oppose and risk endangering women’s access to MAiD in Canada. I conclude with recommendations relevant to the next stage of MAiD legislation in Canada, which will debate whether other populations considered to be vulnerable, including mature minors and people with mental illness, will have access to MAiD
Backward electroproduction of pi0 mesons on protons in the region of nucleon resonances at four momentum transfer squared Q**2 = 1.0 GeV**2
Exclusive electroproduction of pi0 mesons on protons in the backward
hemisphere has been studied at Q**2 = 1.0 GeV**2 by detecting protons in the
forward direction in coincidence with scattered electrons from the 4 GeV
electron beam in Jefferson Lab's Hall A. The data span the range of the total
(gamma* p) center-of-mass energy W from the pion production threshold to W =
2.0 GeV. The differential cross sections sigma_T+epsilon*sigma_L, sigma_TL, and
sigma_TT were separated from the azimuthal distribution and are presented
