Beyond the Object
Object orientation (OO) is regained not only in all components of integrate development media but it remarks in the rest of software world from operating system to last application domain - of course, with different intensity and success. A clear prove of OO application in all situations is the development of a wide range of industrial applications. OO technology allows drawing of relation between the geometry, topology and dimensions of data on a class hierarchy; thus, the observation of the amount of data gained by research in many scientific domains is facilitated through class libraries both for graphic primitives and for events examination. In conformity to all waiting, OO asserts in every distributive system, there are very important the applications for making open systems customer-server and dis-tributed applications in Java. Finally OO application in robot's programming and modeling needn't be omitted. However, far to be panacea, OO has also shades which will be researched so on.object orientation, adaptability, reusability component wares, mega-programming, generative programming.
Remote Monitoring of Railway Equipment Using Internet Technologies
This paper outlines the main benefits of using Internet technologies for the remote monitoring of railway equipment. We present two prototypes of a remote monitoring tool for railway equipment. The first has a 2-tier architecture and is based on Java technology and Java RMI as a communication protocol. The second has a 3-tier architecture and is based on XML/XSL technology and HTTP as a communication protocol. We compare both systems and we give some conclusions from the actual work. This paper is intended for people concerned with industrial applications on the Internet and especially for those developing remote monitoring tools for embedded systems
Introducing a new technology to enhance community sustainability: An investigation of the possibilities of sun spots
The introduction of the Sun SPOT, Small Programmable Object Technology, developed by Sun Microsystems has been depicted as providing a revolutionary change in cyber physical interaction. Based on Sun Java Micro Edition (ME), this sensor technology has the potential to be used across a number of discipline areas to interface with systems, the environment and biological domains. This paper will outline the potential of Sun SPOTs to enhance community sustainability. An action based research project was carried out to investigate the potential uses of these technologies and develop a prototype system as a proof of concept. The research will compare Sun SPOTs with similar technologies, provide an assessment of the technology, and propose a number of possible implementations of the technology to enhance community sustainability

providing its economic rationale. We describe how objectoriented
programming evolved into local component models,
such as Java Beans and distributed object technologies,
such as the Common Object Request Broker Architecture
(CORBA), Java Remote Method Invocation (RMI)
and the Component Object Model (COM). We then address
how these technologies matured into distributed component
models, in partiuclar Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) and the
CORBA Component Model (CCM). We give an assessment
of the maturity of each of these technologies and sketch how
they are used to build distributed architectures

The aim of the review is to investigate the evidence for the claim that code duplication has a negative effect on code changeability.
