Transportation in Indonesia specially, more predominated by vehicle two wheels type underbone. Along with the increasing of prosperity and high mobility, peoples need vehicle that more quickly, mobile, have strong perform, and reached price. For that, some manufacturer exist in Indonesia [release] two wheel vehicles type of underbone or more knowledgeable with the title underbone. All the vehicle is marginally mastered in Japan. All the market dominates (outside product of non-Japan) such as: Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki. All play at [in] middle market segment downwards, especially [in] class underbone. Underbone in Indonesia market became primadona, because pursuant to its function, shape and practically. For example, in family most of all family member in general can use underbone because its function more practical. All brands [in] consumer, user, owner of two wheel vehicles type underbone eye have different image each other and have special place in each their own hearts. This research aim to test influence among brand image, service and price to decision of purchasing of vehicle two wheel type underbone brand of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki. In addition, test what is there different of perception of brand image, price, service and decision of purchasing felt by each consumer responder, owner of two-wheel vehicle type underbone brand of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and of Kawasaki in region of Semarang. Type Research the used is research explanatory, explaining relation among research variables. Way of determination of sample at this research use method of proportionate sampling area, while data collecting technique use sampling technique of accidental. The research resulted in regression of Y = 0,543 + 0,267 X1 + 0,221 X2 + 0,310 X3 and there are significant and positive among brand image, service and price to decision of purchasing of vehicle of two wheel type underbone. This effect goes simultaneously. The research showed, that responded feel strong relation among brand image, price and service to purchasing decision of two wheels vehicle type underbone. From Chi Square (X2) calculation, indicates there is different that responder (user, owner of two wheels vehicle type underbone brand of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki) feel in price variable, especially in brand of Honda. This cause, price and quality that offer in the market are not balanced. This research has some frailty. First, there is no age limitation of vehicle two-wheel type underbone. Second, there is no subdividing of cylinder volume “cc” among two wheels vehicles type underbone. I hope that, this becomes a useful input for research hereinafter

Comparison of beam generation techniques using a phase only spatial light modulator

Whether in art or for QR codes, images have proven to be both powerful and efficient carriers of information. Spatial light modulators allow an unprecedented level of control over the generation of optical fields by using digital holograms. There is no unique way of obtaining a desired light pattern however, leaving many competing methods for hologram generation. In this paper, we test six hologram generation techniques in the creation of a variety of modes as well as a photographic image: rating the methods according to obtained mode quality and power. All techniques compensate for a non-uniform mode profile of the input laser and incorporate amplitude scaling. We find that all methods perform well and stress the importance of appropriate spatial filtering. We expect these results to be of interest to those working in the contexts of microscopy, optical trapping or quantum image creation

NICMOS Observations of the Transiting Hot Jupiter XO-1b

We refine the physical parameters of the transiting hot Jupiter planet XO-1b and its stellar host XO-1 using HST NICMOS observations. XO-1b has a radius Rp=1.21+/-0.03 RJup, and XO-1 has a radius Rs=0.94+/-0.02 RSun, where the uncertainty in the mass of XO-1 dominates the uncertainty of Rp and Rs. There are no significant differences in the XO-1 system properties between these broad-band NIR observations and previous determinations based upon ground-based optical observations. We measure two transit timings from these observations with 9 s and 15 s precision. As a residual to a linear ephemeris model, there is a 2.0 sigma timing difference between the two HST visits that are separated by 3 transit events (11.8 days). These two transit timings and additional timings from the literature are sufficient to rule out the presence of an Earth mass planet orbiting in 2:1 mean motion resonance coplanar with XO-1b. We identify and correct for poorly understood gain-like variations present in NICMOS time series data. This correction reduces the effective noise in time series photometry by a factor of two, for the case of XO-1.Comment: 13 pages, 8 figures, submitted to Ap

PANIC: A Near-infrared Camera for the Magellan Telescopes

PANIC (Persson's Auxiliary Nasmyth Infrared Camera) is a near-infrared camera designed to operate at any one of the f/11 folded ports of the 6.5m Magellan telescopes at Las Campanas Observatory, Chile. The instrument is built around a simple, all-refractive design that reimages the Magellan focal plane to a plate scale of 0.125'' pixel^{-1} onto a Rockwell 1024x1024 HgCdTe detector. The design goals for PANIC included excellent image quality to sample the superb seeing measured with the Magellan telescopes, high throughput, a relatively short construction time, and low cost. PANIC has now been in regular operation for over one year and has proved to be highly reliable and produce excellent images. The best recorded image quality has been ~0.2'' FWHM.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures. To appear in "Astronomical Telescopes and Instrumentation," Proc SPIE (Glasgow), June 2004. Digitisation of a moving assembly operation using multiple depth imaging sensors

    Get PDF
Several manufacturing operations continue to be manual even in today’s highly automated industry because the complexity of such operations makes them heavily reliant on human skills, intellect and experience. This work aims to aid the automation of one such operation, the wheel loading operation on the trim and final moving assembly line in automotive production. It proposes a new method that uses multiple low-cost depth imaging sensors, commonly used in gaming, to acquire and digitise key shopfloor data associated with the operation, such as motion characteristics of the vehicle body on the moving conveyor line and the angular positions of alignment features of the parts to be assembled, in order to inform an intelligent automation solution. Experiments are conducted to test the performance of the proposed method across various assembly conditions, and the results are validated against an industry standard method using laser tracking. Some disadvantages of the method are discussed, and suggestions for improvements are suggested. The proposed method has the potential to be adopted to enable the automation of a wide range of moving assembly operations in multiple sectors of the manufacturing industry

Design and development of a pole climbing surveillance robot

The cost of installing, monitoring and servicing a fixed camera system can be high and not all areas are in need of constant surveying. The increase in crime in urban areas emphasizes the need for a more effective and efficient surveillance system, as a result could lead to fewer crimes. A temporary surveillance unit which is able to climb to gain an elevated view has great potential for both military and civilian application. This paper highlights how the patent pending climbing robotic system (PC-101) was developed to be used by London’s Metropolitan Police Forensic Department for analysing outdoor crime scenes especially that related to car accidents. When cars are involved in accidents in the Metropolitan area, depending on the scale of the incident, the road generally has to be shut off to traffic if there are serious casualties. Elevated images are required for cases which may be taken to court, which then the images are then used as evidence, therefore regulations on the quality and perspectives of the image have to be met. By climbing a range of existing street furniture such as street lamp post, a temporary platform eliminates the use of larger special vehicle which struggles to get to the crime scene as well as cuts down the duration of the road closure. 98% of London street lamps in the Metropolitan area are constructed out of steel structures which make the use of magnetic wheels for locomotion an ideal solution to the climbing problem. Once remote controlled to the top of the lamp post, the PC-101 makes use of its actuated camera arm/gimbal to take the required shot, which can be seen on the ground control unit. A surveillance tool of this sort can be used for many applications which include crowd/riot control, crime scene investigations, monitoring hostile environments and even the monitoring of nature within urban environment
