Global exponential stability of impulsive dynamical systems with distributed delays

    Get PDF
In this paper, the global exponential stability of dynamical systems with distributed delays and impulsive effect is investigated. By establishing an impulsive differential-integro inequality, we obtain some sufficient conditions ensuring the global exponential stability of the dynamical system. Three examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our theoretical results

This is the post print version of the article. The official published version can be obtained from the link - Copyright 2008 Elsevier LtdIn this paper, the problem of stability analysis for a class of impulsive stochastic Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with mixed delays is considered. The mixed time delays comprise both the time-varying and infinite distributed delays. By employing a combination of the M-matrix theory and stochastic analysis technique, a sufficient condition is obtained to ensure the existence, uniqueness, and exponential p-stability of the equilibrium point for the addressed impulsive stochastic Cohen–Grossberg neural network with mixed delays. The proposed method, which does not make use of the Lyapunov functional, is shown to be simple yet effective for analyzing the stability of impulsive or stochastic neural networks with variable and/or distributed delays. We then extend our main results to the case where the parameters contain interval uncertainties. Moreover, the exponential convergence rate index is estimated, which depends on the system parameters. An example is given to show the effectiveness of the obtained results. This work was supported by the Natural Science Foundation of CQ CSTC under grant 2007BB0430, the Scientific Research Fund of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission under Grant KJ070401, an International Joint Project sponsored by the Royal Society of the UK and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany

On the uniform exponential stability of a wide class of linear time-delay systems

    Get PDF
AbstractThis paper deals with the global uniform exponential stability independent of delay of time-delay linear and time-invariant systems subject to point and distributed delays for the initial conditions being continuous real functions except possibly on a set of zero measure of bounded discontinuities. It is assumed that the delay-free system as well as an auxiliary one are globally uniformly exponentially stable and globally uniform exponential stability independent of delay, respectively. The auxiliary system is typically a part of the overall dynamics of the delayed system but not necessarily the isolated undelayed dynamics as usually assumed in the literature. Since there is a great freedom in setting such an auxiliary system, the obtained stability conditions are very useful in a wide class of practical applications

A sufficient and necessary condition of existence of blow-up radial solutions for a k-Hessian equation with a nonlinear operator

    Get PDF
In this paper, we establish the results of nonexistence and existence of blow-up radial solutions for a k-Hessian equation with a nonlinear operator. Under some suitable growth conditions for nonlinearity, the result of nonexistence of blow-up solutions is established, a sufficient and necessary condition on existence of blow-up solutions is given, and some further results are obtained.&nbsp

Long time behavior of fractional impulsive stochastic differential equations with infinite delay

    Get PDF
This paper is first devoted to the local and global existence of mild solutions for a class of fractional impulsive stochastic differential equations with infinite delay driven by both K-valued Q-cylindrical Brownian motion and fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter H ∈ (1/2, 1). A general framework which provides an effective way to prove the continuous dependence of mild solutions on initial value is established under some appropriate assumptions. Furthermore, it is also proved the exponential decay to zero of solutions to fractional stochastic impulsive differential equations with infinite delay.European Commission (EC).
