fotovoltaicos conectados a red.
This project presents the state of the art of the application of artifficial intelligence and Big Data
techniques in the optimal management of grid-connected photovoltaic plants.
The project starts with an introduction where the purpose of this work is presented, along with
its motivation and the structure of the rest of the document.
Next, artificial intelligence and Big Data main concepts are explained along with several techniques and algorithms that find application in the tasks studied in following sections.
In the following chapters, applications of this techniques to modelling, control and fault detection
and diagnosis along with predictive maintenance of grid-connected photovoltaic farms are revised,
giving special attention to the improvements that comes with the application of this techniques in
comparison with conventional ones.
Finally, the conslusions extracted from this state of the art will be provided.Universidad de Sevilla. Máster en Sistemas de Energía Eléctric
2007 Research and Technology
The NASA Glenn Research Center is pushing the envelope of research and technology in aeronautics, space exploration, science, and space operations. Our research in aeropropulsion, structures and materials, and instrumentation and controls is enabling next-generation transportation systems that are faster, more environmentally friendly, more fuel efficient, and safer. Our research and development of space flight systems is enabling advanced power, propulsion, communications, and human health systems that will advance the exploration of our solar system. This report selectively summarizes NASA Glenn Research Center s research and technology accomplishments for fiscal year 2007. Comprising 104 short articles submitted by the staff scientists and engineers, the report is organized into six major sections: Aeropropulsion, Power and Space Propulsion, Communications, Space Processes and Experiments, Instrumentation and Controls, and Structures and Materials. It is not intended to be a comprehensive summary of all the research and technology work done over the past fiscal year; most of the work is reported in Glenn-published technical reports, journal articles, and presentations. For each article in this report, a Glenn contact person has been identified, and where possible, a reference document is listed so that additional information can be easily obtained
The doctoral research abstract. Vol:9 2016 / Institute of Graduate Studies, UiTM
FOREWORD:
Seventy three doctoral graduands will be receiving their scroll today signifying their
achievements in completing their PhD journey. The novelty of their research is shared with
you through The Doctoral Abstracts on this auspicious occasion, UiTM 84th Convocation.
We are indeed proud that another 73 scholarly contributions to the world of knowledge
and innovation have taken place through their doctoral research ranging from Science and
Technology, Business and Administration, and Social Science and Humanities.
As we rejoice and celebrate your achievement, we would like to acknowledge
dearly departed Dr Halimi Zakaria’s scholarly contribution entitled
“Impact of Antecedent Factors on Collaborative Technologies Usage
among Academic Researchers in Malaysian Research Universities”. He
has left behind his discovery to be used by other researchers in their quest
of pursuing research in the same area, a discovery that his family can be
proud of.
Graduands, earning your PhD is not the end of discovering new ideas,
invention or innovation but rather the start of discovering something
new. Enjoy every moment of its discovery and embrace that life is
full of mystery and treasure that is waiting for you to unfold. As
you unfold life’s mystery, remember you have a friend to count
on, and that friend is UiTM.
Congratulations for completing this academic journey. Keep
UiTM close to your heart and be our ambassador wherever
you go. / Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Hassan Said

Energy Transition and Climate Change in Decision-making Processes
There is a growing concern about the climate; numerous voices stress that, in order to overcome the climate crisis, the transition to a low-carbon society is the most reasonable path to follow. In this type of society, individuals would be characterized by making mindful efforts to drastically decrease carbon and greenhouse gas emissions, and promote benign energy sources. In order to facilitate this transition, a social perspective in addition to technological, political and economic aspects must be integrated into the relevant decision-making processes. This is necessary because the public can strongly affect actions aimed at driving profound changes in traditional energy systems. To contribute to the effort of promoting energy transition, the Editors of this book invited scholars and practitioners conducting research in the areas of climate change and the energy transition to submit their work. This book includes studies that establish a valuable source of information which can be used to enhance decision-making processes which, in turn, can turn the energy transition into reality. Hopefully, efforts such as this collection of knowledge can help economies make a step towards a secure and sustainable energy future in which renewables will have replaced the centuries-long human dependence on fossil fuels
