radiocarbono no terceiro quartel do VI milénio cal
presidiram à neolitização do litoral meridional
apenas a partir do início do V milénio cal BC (a
neolitização considerado, a partir do litoral algarvio.
A terminar, é feita breve alusão à emergência do
fenómeno megalítico regional: na estação de
Cabranosa, não se conhecem menires partilhando o
espaço de ocupação neolítica, situação que concorda
com os escassos indicadores cronológicos que fazer
corresponder, quando muito, ao Neolítico antigo
evoluído as primeiras manifestações megalíticas
(menires e sepulcros proto-megalíticos).This work builds on earlier, recently
published work on the site of Cabranosa.
This earlier article, in which the available
archaeological evidence was studied in a
systematic way, permitted us to consider the
existence, by the beginning of the Early Neolithic
and radiocarhon dated to the third quarter of the
6th millennium BC, of a sedentary community
with domestic animaIs (goat and/or sheep) in the
extreme southwest of the Iberian Peninsula.
This evidence stimulated a more developed study
of the cultural integration of the site and its
significance, in the regional and supra-regional
geographic context in which it was situated.
This comparative exercise allowed us to conclude
that ceramic production (which includes locally
produced Cardial vases) can be distinguished
from the homologous products of the Early
Neolithic of the Alentejo coast and eastern
Andalucia, as well as the latest phases of the
Cardial Neolithic of eastern Andalucia and of
Valencia, further away. Furthermore, at the
level of the flaked stone assemblages there were
differences detected between those recovered
in Cabranosa and, in general, those from others
sites of the Algarve, and those sites known
in the coastal Alentejo, between the Mesolithic
and Neolithic.
These cultural indicators contribute to our
understanding of the possible factors that
presided in the neolithization of the western
Portuguese coast. In the present state of
knowledge, it seems likely that there existed
simultaneously two di stinct cultural communities
in this area: one, Mesolithic, long-established
in the coastal ecosystem, practicing an economy
of hunting·fishing·gathering: the other, already
Neolithic, established in the Algarve coast, with
an economy of production (at least herding
and, very likely agriculture), and a carrier of a
different material culture.
Placed in these terms, we must conclude that
the genesis of the Neolithic in the Algarve
coast (of which Cabranosa is paradigmatic)
appears to have been related to the presence
of populations possibly coming from the Levantine coast of the Peninsula, which were
later integrated with those already based in
the region, namely those which were dispersed
along the Alentejo coast.
Clearly, the cultural definition of these two
possible groups is far from satisfactory, and the
chronology of their interaction is debatable.
It is unclear whether this interaction dates
to the middle of the 6th millennium cal BC
(if one considers the chronometric dates of Vale
Pincel or Medo Tojeiro), or only from the
beginning of the 5th millennium BC (if we only
accept the dates of the shell-midden on the
hill at Amoreiras, in the lower Sado valley).
An intermediate date is even possible, given
that the shell-midden of Amoreiras is already
situated in a peripheral position, relative to the
possible focus of Neolithization, from the
Algarve coast. Finally, this article makes
a brief reference to the emergence of a
regional megalithic phenomenon.
At the site of Cabranosa, there are no known
menhirs that share its Neolithic occupational
space, which is consistent with the scarce
chronological evidence that the first megaliths
(menhirs and proto-megalithic burials)
correspond to, at the earliest, to the evolved
Early Neolithic

In terms of private law, violence signifies the uninvited intervention to one’s personality rights and patrimonial assets. At this regard, children’s protection from violence constitutes an important subject and it is regulated under different legal rules. Some of the general provisions Turkish Civil Code may be taken into account in accordance thereof. Hence, provisions regarding the protection of personality rights, legal guardianship and exceptionnally tutorship deal with protection of children either from third persons or from guardian/tutor when they have misused their authority. This article aims to examine the mentioned provisions with regard to the children’s proctection from violence.TR - Dizi

Characterization of the Autoignition of Single Droplets of Fischer-Tropsch Fuels and Development of Surrogates
The autoignition behavior of single droplets of synthetic fuels produced by the Fischer-Tropsch process, such as GTL-Diesel and GTL-Kerosene, is the main focus of this study. For this, experiments are carried out under microgravity and normal gravity conditions with single droplets with an initial diameter of 0,7 mm in a high-temperature high-pressure chamber. Ignition delay times are determined for ambient pressures between 0,1 MPa < p < 1 MPa and ambient temperatures between 550 K < T < 950 K with the aid of a Michelson interferometer setup. The experimental data is fitted with two-term Arrhenius-type functions that represent the two main reaction mechanisms, the cool and hot flame. Furthermore the development of suitable surrogate fuels for these fuels is performed and the selection and formulation procedure for the components is shown. Surrogate fuels enable numerical calculations with detailed chemical reaction kinetics. The obtained data on the characterization of the aforementioned fuels is compared with data of related fuels, such as their mineral variants and other surrogates

There is an increasing interest in studies related to new materials for possible use in construction, combined with concrete, as is the case of glass fibers reinforced polymers (GFRP). This material is an alternative to steel, especially in regions where the action of aggressive agents is intense, degrading the steel and causing severe damage to structures composed of this material. Some advantages of FRP material may be mentioned: resistance to corrosion, lightweight and high specific strength. However, these materials present low values of elastici moduli which results in projects governed by limitations in deflection at service load levels, or by buckling, in the case of thin-walled sections, instead of ultimate strength limits. Hence, it becomes crucial to evaluate accurately the flexural stiffness of these profiles. The flexural stiffness of pultruded profiles were obtained by determining the flexural elastic modulus (E) and shear modulus (G) as well as for composite beams that consists of a concrete cover placed over a GFRP profile with foam in between. These parameters were obtained both experimentally and numerically and the results showed a good approximation between the methods for the analysis of GFRP profiles and a greater stiffness to the theoretical analysis of composite beams. Another topic addressed is the bond strength behavior between concrete and GFRP profile. For this study prototypes consisting of a GFRP profile and two concrete prisms were fabricated and subjected to a double shear test up to failure. Two studies were conducted to characterize the bond strength between those materials. Study 1 examined the behavior of this strength when subjected to accelerated environmental ageing. The specimens were tested at 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 months, and those of the last four ages placed on a climatic chamber to accelerate the aging process of degradation. But it was not possible to obtain a consistent conclusion for the behavior of bond strength. Study 2 evaluated the influence of the addition of different types of fibers to concrete on the bond strength. Differences were only found when comparing the types of fibers
