    The Correlation Between Parents-Teachers Cooperation and Students’ Digital Literacy Development

    This correlational study investigates the parents' and teachers' cooperation regarding the students' digital literacy development in light of the transition to online learning. This study was conducted at SDN 200118 Padangsidimpuan, with 103 students recruited as a sample of this study. The data is collected from the questionnaires distributed to sample the class teachers and the students. The correlation between the two variables was analyzed with Pearson Product Moment Correlation in SPSS 23, in which the result shows the value of .565 and sig. 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, it can be stated that the alternative hypothesis, which states that there is a relationship between the parent and teacher cooperation variable with the development of students' digital literacy, is accepted

    This article explores the impact of technological advances on elementary school students' cultural and civic knowledge. Even though it provides broad access to information, the negative impacts of technology such as social isolation and lack of direct interaction with cultural diversity make understanding cultural values and citizenship difficult. Reduced social engagement is also a challenge, limiting students' role as active citizens. The proposed solution involves collaboration between teachers, parents, and communities to create an educational environment that balances technology and hands-on experiences grounded in cultural and civic values. This article emphasizes the importance of preparing elementary school students to acquire strong cultural knowledge and a deep sense of citizenship, helping them become active and responsible members of society

    Pemujaan selebritas menguat dengan adanya media sosial, mengarah pada kecanduan media sosial. Dengan dasar asumsi teori uses and gratification bahwa mahasiswa pemuja selebritas K-Pop menggunakan media sosial sebagai kebutuhan hiburan dan sumber kepuasan hidup dapat mengakibatkan kecanduan media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali fenomena tersebut dengan menempatkan teori civic culture yang mengangkat konsep literasi budaya kewargaan khususnya national pride. Kebanggan terhadap budaya dan negara sendiri akan diperhadapkan dengan K-Pop yang identik dengan budaya luar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Validasi data menggunakan trianggulasi sumber data dan teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) takut ketinggalan informasi yang berlebihan (Ultra FoMO) mendorong mahasiswa pemuja selebritas K-Pop untuk terus mengikuti perkembangan idolanya melalui berbagai media sosial, termasuk aplikasi langsung dari agensi mengarah pada kecanduan media sosial; (2) literasi media sosial dalam konteks pemuja selebritas K-Pop membuat penggemar menjadi lebih kritis dan realistis dalam memahami idola mereka. Memahami peran agensi dan manajemen artis dalam membentuk citra idolanya di media sosial. Sebelumnya, penggemar terjebak dalam ilusi (halu) yang membayangkan idolanya sebagai pacar bahkan pasangan hidupnya; (3) literasi budaya kewargaan membantu mahasiswa pemuja selebritas menempatkan posisi kecintaan dan kebanggaan terhadap budaya dan negara mereka di atas pengidolan terhadap K-Pop. Pada akhirnya, literasi budaya kewargaan mendorong mahasiswa pemuja selebritas untuk mengurangi penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan agar dapat lebih menghargai waktu dan melakukan kegiatan yang lebih bermanfaat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar pemerintah mengambil langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan literasi budaya kewargaan dengan memasukkan materi tentang literasi media sosial dan budaya kewargaan ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan formal, terutama melalui mata kuliah Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Selain itu, diperlukan program yang berfokus pada memperkuat rasa cinta dan kebanggaan terhadap budaya negara khususnya pada generasi muda

    Application of the STAD model assisted by media share board to improve the numerical literacy of grade II students at SD Negeri 3 Jambangan Malang

    The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the STAD model assisted by Shard Board media to improve students' numeracy literacy in class III fraction material at SD Negeri 3 Jambangan, Dampit District. The research used was classroom action research, the research was carried out through two cycles with steps namely Planning, Implementation, Observation, Reflection. Collecting data using research instruments required includes interviews, pretest, test, posttest, observation sheets, documentation. The results showed that the application of the STAD model assisted by Shard Board media was proven to increase students' numeracy literacy. This can be seen through cycle I getting an average of 67.5 and cycle II getting an average of 81.78. Therefore it is necessary to apply the STAD model assisted by Shard Board media when learning in class, so that it can provide variations in the learning process and can improve students' numeracy literacy

    This research describes basic literacy and information literacy for elementary (primary) students. This research is library research. The analysis shows that primary students should understand six basic literacies, including 1). Literacy Read and Write (ability to understand the contents of written texts both explicit and implicit). 2). Numerical Literacy (ability to use basic mathematical symbols and numbers to solve practical problems and analyze mathematical information). 3). Scientific Literacy (ability to understand natural phenomena both scientific literacy and social phenomena). 4). Financial Literacy (ability to understand finance, concepts, management, risks, and skills in the financial sector. 5). Digital Literacy (ability to use digital media, create communication content, and filter information). 6). Cultural Literacy and Civic (ability to understand values, rights, and obligations as Indonesian citizens). Besides, understanding information literacy is also important for students. Several benefits of literacy are 1) training basic skills to read, write and count, 2) developing to think critically and logically when entering society and facing any situation. 3) having good literacy development correlates with better learning and communication skills, solving logical problems even academic achievement

The activities aim to discuss the theoretical and practical citizenship education that becomes needed for democracy in Indonesia and other countries with a view to build academic networks by gathering academics from various research institutes and universities. Citizenship education is an urgent need for the nation in order to build a civilized democracy for several reasons. Citizenship education is important for those who are politically illiterate and do not know how to work the democracy of its institutions. Another problem is the increasing political apathy, indicated by the limited involvement of citizens in the political process. These conditions show how citizenship education becomes the means needed by a democratic country like Indonesia.     Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of scientific and civic cultural literacy of the American University of Madaba (AUM) students and its relationship to personal variables. The sample of the study consisted of 437 students registered for the first semester of the academic year 2019-2020 at AUM and sat for a scientific and civic test, the main research tool. The analysis of data collected showed that AUM students are culturally literate in the science field where the scores are at a high level. However, it was a little less in civics as it scored medium up to a high level. Further, there were statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) in the scientific field in favor of the females, the international curriculum and health sciences faculty but not in the civics field. It is recommended that further research studies should be conducted on other fields of cultural literacy. ملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة الى معرفة مستوى التنور الثقافي العلمي والمدني لدى طلبة الجامعة الامريكية في مادبا وعلاقته ببعض المتغيرات الشخصية. بلغ حجم العينة 437 طالبا وطالبة مسجلين في الفصل الاول للعام الدراسي 2019-2020 والذين أدوا اختبار الثقافة العلمي والمدني وهو اداة الدراسة الرئيس. اظهرت النتائج ان مستوى التنور الثقافي العلمي عال ومستوى التنور الثقافي المدني متوسط الى حد ما مرتفع لدى طلبة الجامعة الامريكية في مادبا. فضلاً عن ذلك، كانت هناك فروق ذات دلالة احصائية عند (α = 0.05) في مستوى التنور الثقافي تعزى للجنس، ومنهاج المدرسة الثانوية ونوع الكلية وكانت لصالح الاناث، المنهاج الدولي وكلية العلوم الصحية على التوالي. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة، يوصي الباحثان باجراء مزيد من الدراسات لتشمل مجالات أخرى للتنور الثقافي
