The mobile device is a device that supports the mobility activities and more portable. However, mobile devices have the limited resources and storage capacity. This deficiency should be considered in order to maximize the functionality of this mobile device. Hence, this study provides a formulation in data management to support a process of storing data with large scale by using Rough Set approach to select the data with relevant and useful information. Additionally, the features are combining analytics method to complete analysis of the data storage processing, making users more easily understand how to read the analysis results. Testing is done by utilizing data from the Malaysia’s Open Government Data about Air Pollutant Index (API) to determine the condition of the air pollution level to the health and safety of the population. The testing has successfully created a summary of the API data with the Rough Set approach to select significant data from the main database based on generated rule. The analysis results of the selected API data are stored as a mobile database and presented in the chart intended to make the data meaningful and easier to understand the analysis results of API conditions using the mobile device

Extensions to Linguistic Summaries Indicators based on Neutrosophic Theory

The quick development of the markets and companies, especially those that apply information technology, has made it easy to store a large volume of digital information. Nevertheless, the extraction of potentially useful knowledge is difficult; also could not be easily understandable by humans. One of the techniques applied to the solution to this problem is the linguistic data summarizations, whose objective is to discover knowledge to extract patterns from databases, from which are generated explicit and concise summaries. Another important element of the linguistic summaries is the indicators (T) for their evaluation proposed by Zadeh when including linguistic terms evaluation in fuzzy sets. However, these indicators not include the analysis in indeterminate sets. In this paper, it is discussed the use of linguistic data summarization in project management environments and new T indicators are proposed including neutrosophic sets with single value neutrosophic numbers. Authors evaluate T-values proposed by Zadeh and T-values based on neutrosophic theory in the evaluation of linguistic summaries recovered

Explainable pattern modelling and summarization in sensor equipped smart homes of elderly

In the next several decades, the proportion of the elderly population is expected to increase significantly. This has led to various efforts to help live them independently for longer periods of time. Smart homes equipped with sensors provide a potential solution by capturing various behavioral and physiological patterns of the residents. In this work, we develop techniques to model and detect changes in these patterns. The focus is on methods that are explainable in nature and allow for generating natural language descriptions. We propose a comprehensive change description framework that can detect unusual changes in the sensor parameters and describe the data leading to those changes in natural language. An approach that models and detects variations in physiological and behavioral routines of the elderly forms one part of the change description framework. The second part comes from a natural language generation system in which we identify important health-relevant features from the sensor parameters. Throughout this dissertation, we validate the developed techniques using both synthetic and real data obtained from the homes of the elderly living in sensor-equipped facilities. Using multiple real data retrospective case studies, we show that our methods are able to detect variations in the sensor data that are correlated with important health events in the elderly as recorded in their Electronic Health Records.Includes bibliographical reference
