On-line modeling and control via T-S fuzzy models for nonaffine nonlinear systems using a second type adaptive fuzzy approach
[[abstract]]This paper proposes a novel method for on-line modeling and robust adaptive control via Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models for nonaffine nonlinear systems, with external disturbances. The T-S fuzzy model is established to approximate the nonaffine nonlinear dynamic system in a linearized way. The so-called second type adaptive law is adopted, where not only the consequent part (the weighting factors) of fuzzy implications but also the antecedent part (the membership functions) of fuzzy implications are adjusted. Fuzzy B-spline membership functions (BMFs) are used for on-line tuning. Furthermore, the effect of all the unmodeled dynamics, BMF modeling errors and external disturbances on the tracking error is attenuated by a fuzzy error compensator which is also constructed from the T-S fuzzy model. In this paper, we can prove that the closed-loop system which is controlled by the proposed controller is stable and the tracking error will converge to zero. Three examples are simulated in order to confirm the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed methods in this paper.[[notice]]補ćŁĺ®Ś
Adaptive T-S fuzzy-neural modeling and control for general MIMO unknown nonaffine nonlinear systems using projection update laws
[[abstract]]This paper describes a novel design of an on-line Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy-neural controller for a class of general multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems with unknown nonlinear functions and external disturbances. Instead of modeling the unknown systems directly, the T–S fuzzy-neural model approximates a virtual linearized system (VLS) of a real system with modeling errors and external disturbances. Compared with previous approaches, the main contribution of this paper is an investigation of more general MIMO unknown systems using on-line adaptive T–S fuzzy-neural controllers. In this paper, we also use projection update laws, which generalize the projection algorithm, to tune the adjustable parameters. This prevents parameter drift and ensures that the parameter matrix is bounded away from singularity. We prove that the closed-loop system controlled by the proposed controller is robust stable and the effect of all the modeling errors and external disturbances on the tracking error can be attenuated. Finally, two examples covering four cases are simulated in order to confirm the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed approach in this paper.[[booktype]]紙
Extruder for food product (otak–otak) with heater and roll cutter
Food extrusion is a form of extrusion used in food industries. It is a process by which a set of mixed ingredients are forced through an opening in a perforated plate or die with a design specific to the food, and is then cut to a specified size by blades [1]. Summary of the invention principal objects of the present invention are to provide a machine capable of continuously producing food products having an’ extruded filler material of meat or similarity and an extruded outer covering of a moldable food product, such as otak-otak, that completely envelopes the filler material
A novel technique for load frequency control of multi-area power systems
In this paper, an adaptive type-2 fuzzy controller is proposed to control the load frequency of a two-area power system based on descending gradient training and error back-propagation. The dynamics of the system are completely uncertain. The multilayer perceptron (MLP) artificial neural network structure is used to extract Jacobian and estimate the system model, and then, the estimated model is applied to the controller, online. A proportional–derivative (PD) controller is added to the type-2 fuzzy controller, which increases the stability and robustness of the system against disturbances. The adaptation, being real-time and independency of the system parameters are new features of the proposed controller. Carrying out simulations on New England 39-bus power system, the performance of the proposed controller is compared with the conventional PI, PID and internal model control based on PID (IMC-PID) controllers. Simulation results indicate that our proposed controller method outperforms the conventional controllers in terms of transient response and stability

A new approach to adaptive fuzzy control: the controller output error method
The controller output error method (COEM) is introduced and applied to the design of adaptive fuzzy control systems. The method employs a gradient descent algorithm to minimize a cost function which is based on the error at the controller output. This contrasts with more conventional methods which use the error at the plant output. The cost function is minimized by adapting some or all of the parameters of the fuzzy controller. The proposed adaptive fuzzy controller is applied to the adaptive control of a nonlinear plant and is shown to be capable of providing good overall system performance
