La Preferència per la posposició dels subjectes definits en les construccions inacusatives : un tret desapercebut del català nord-occidental

Partint dels materials aplegats en el mapa 1 de l'Atles lingüístic del domini català («Tinc rodaments de cap»), el qual recull nombroses construccions del tipus «El cap em roda» / «Em roda el cap», mostro com el nord-occidental -en contrast amb la resta de dialectes- té una clara preferència per la col·locació postverbal dels subjectes definits en les construccions inacusatives i assajo de donar-ne una justificació posant aquest fenomen en relació amb el comportament específic en nord-occidental de les construccions del tipus IV de Fabra, en les quals en aquest dialecte no s'estableix concondança en nombre entre el verb i el sintagma nominal indefinit plural que el segueix, com ha estat assenyalat per Solà (1973, 1987, 1994, 1999), estudiat per Rigau (1992, 1997a, 1997b) i delimitat territorialment per Alonso i Suïls (1998).On the basis of the data shown in map 1 of the Atles lingüístic del domini català («Tinc rodaments de cap»), which displays numerous constructions of the type «El cap em roda» / «Em roda el cap», I show how the North-Western variety of Catalan, in contrast to other dialects, presents a clear preference for placing definite subjects in unaccusative constructions in postverbal position. I attempt to explain this phenomenon by relating it to the specific behaviour of Fabra's type-IV constructions of North-Western Catalan, in which there is no number agreement between the verb and the indefinite plural noun phrase -a fact pointed out by Solà (1973, 1987, 1994, 1999), studied by Rigau (1992, 1997a, 1997b) and delimited territorially by Alonso i Suïls (1998)

Simulation Domains for Networked Embedded Systems

ABSTRACT Networked embedded systems are a fast growing application for embedded systems. Choices taken during the system design can influence the network configuration and vice versa. It poses new challenges in design and simulation domains. It is very important at the early stages of the design of networked embedded systems to simulate both embedded systems and networked environment in which they operate. Besides, due to limited available energy, simulate the energy consumption in networked embedded systems is also almost imperative. In this paper, we propose a new view for design and analysis of simulator for networked embedded systems defining four domains to capture and describe networked embedded systems with purpose of simulation. It is also presented an elaborate comparison and analysis of four simulators designed to networked embedded systems
