    A Tool for Supporting the Co-Evolution of Enterprise Architecture Meta-models and Models

    Enterprise architecture models capture the concepts and relationships that together describe the essentials of the various enterprise domains. This model of the enterprise is tightly coupled to a domain-specific modeling language that defines the formalisms for creating and updating such model. These languages are described as meta-models by the model-driven engineering field. Results from surveys on enterprise architecture tool analysis showed a lack of support concerning the co-evolution of enterprise architecture meta-model and models. This paper presents a tool that automates enterprise architecture models co-evolution according to a set of meta-model changes. A Portuguese governmental organization used and validated the tool using observational, analytical and descriptive evaluation methods

    To help the School achieve SNP, enterprise architecture modeling brings its business strategy and technology together. The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) can be used as the framework to organize the structures and objects related to the organization in architectural modeling. A method, such as the Architecture Development Method (ADM), is also used to determine the Enterprise Architecture in detail.The goal of information system architectural design analysis is to get a clear image of the information system and better communicate to users how it will operate. In this study, a generic architectural model design connected to the organization's vision and goal was generated using the TOGAF technique as a tool for building and designing enterprise architecture. The study's findings point to a connection between various types of architecture, starting with business architecture, application architecture, and information system architecture, which can create a framework for constructing and developing integrated information systems in schools that can be used as a guide by all organizational units. The outcomes of combining the three primary activities' information system planning and application efforts will be used as tools to support the school's vision, purpose, and goals

How the involved systems affect each other or impact the organizations’ business domain is often uncertain, thus decision-making regarding information technology is challenging. Enterprise architecture (EA) is a holistic, model-based management approach. Many of the available EA software tools focus on documenting and have limited analysis capabilities. In this article, a tool for EA analysis is presented, supporting the analysis of properties such as business fit, security, and interoperability. The tool is implemented to support the Predictive, Probabilistic Architecture Modeling Framework to specify and apply assessment frameworks for performing property analysis on EA models

Along with the rapid growth of the company there are problems of how to make use the Information Technology department as optimal as possible and how to build a  blue print of it strategy in handling a variety of issues and programs or initiatives to support the company's business strategy? This study aims to produce a strategic plan for information technology M Group. The research method used is John Ward and Joe Peppard’s framework for strategic planning of information technology and Scott A. Bernard’s Enterprise Architecture documentation. This study uses SWOT analysis, IT Balance Scorecard and Cost Benefit Analysis as a strategic tool to analyze the needs of Information System on M Group. After conducting the analysis then the  Information System(IS) strategic planning is propose for M Group for next years (2020), which includes business strategies IS, IS / IT Management Strategy, Information System(IS) strategy and future application portfolio.     A Novel Cause-Effect Variable Analysis in Enterprise Architecture by Fuzzy Logic Techniques

    In this paper, or present a new integration approach for managing Information Technology variables within enterprise architecture in an integrated way. Additionially, a novel method based on fuzzy logic for cause-effect variable analysis is proposed as a useful support decision-making tool for companies in order to lmow the main actions they must perform for increasing their benefits. This is employed to assess the Integration Management System in Enterprises, based on Enterprise Architecture and Information Technology. We show as fuzzy logic plays an important role M this area due to these variables can be affected for multifactorial elements iinpregnated with uncertainty. The knowledge given by the experts is translated into dependence rules, Which have also been analyzed from a fuzzy point of view using a combination of two fuzzy techniques, namely, fuzzy relation equation theory and fuzzy graph. Firstly, fuzzy dependence rules are computed froth fuzzy relation equations and, secondly an analysis based on incidence subgraph is performed.     Modeling and Understanding Complex Enterprise Behavior using a Hybrid Simulation Approach

    Today, the design of enterprises is much more art than science. The complex structure and behavior of enterprises makes it difficult to untangle cause and effect amidst the enterprise’s components and their relationships. In order for managers to understand how an enterprise’s architecture affects its behavior, they need tools and techniques to help them reduce the apparent complexity of the enterprise. The practice of enterprise architecting continues to make advances in this area with frameworks that can be used to guide the decomposition and communication of enterprise architectures, but it does not provide tools to analyze the potential behavior of a proposed enterprise architecture. This research seeks to extend the practice of enterprise architecting by developing an approach for creating simulation models of enterprise architectures that can be used for analyzing the architectural factors affecting enterprise behavior and performance. This approach matches the content of each of the “views” of an enterprise architecture framework with a suitable simulation methodology such as discrete event modeling, agent based modeling, or system dynamics, and then integrates these individual simulations into a single hybrid simulation model. The resulting model is a powerful analysis tool that can be used for “what-if” behavioral analysis of enterprise architectures. This approach was applied to create a hybrid simulation model of the enterprise architecture of a real-world aerospace enterprise. Model analysis revealed potential misalignments between the current enterprise architecture and its established strategy, and suggested relatively minor changes to the architecture that could be made to realize significant gains to enterprise performance
