Представлено джерелознавчу характеристику збірника наукових статей Київського політехнічного інституту „Вісти” за 1926-1930 рр. Висвітлюються соціально-економічні і політичні умови, на тлі яких видавався збірник, аналізуються структура та змістовне наповнення випусків видання. Обґрунтовано високий рівень інформаційної насиченості наукового видання, зокрема у контексті проблематики з історії науки і техніки, а також з історії самого КПІ.The Article devoted to the source’s studies the collection of scholars papers “Visti” (1926-1930) of the Kiev polytechnic institute. Analysis social-economic and political conditions that period, structure and contents this issue. Аналіз нормативно-правових документів щодо радянських громадян, позбавлених виборчого права (1926-1930 рр.)

У статті аналізується низка нормативно-правових документів 1926-1930 рр., в яких відображена політика більшовицьких урядів СРСР та УСРР щодо громадян, позбавлених виборчого права, головні недоліки і протиріччя процесу штучної маргіналізації радянського суспільства, вплив внутрішньополітичної кон’юнктури на становище українських «позбавленців».This article analyzes a number of legal documents 1926-1930, which reflected the policy of the Bolshevik governments of the USSR and the Ukrainian SSR for the citizens deprived of suffrage, the main shortcomings and contradictions of the process of artificial marginalization of Soviet society, the impact of political conditions on the position of Ukrainian "deprived persons"

Introducing Groups into Quantum Theory (1926 -- 1930)

In the second half of the 1920s, physicists and mathematicians introduced group theoretic methods into the recently invented ``new'' quantum mechanics. Group representations turned out to be a highly useful tool in spectroscopy and in giving quantum mechanical explanations of chemical bonds. H. Weyl explored the possibilities of a group theoretic approach towards quantization. In his second version of a gauge theory for electromagnetism, he even started to build a bridge between quantum theoretic symmetries and differential geometry. Until the early 1930s, an active group of young quantum physicists and mathematicians contributed to this new challenging field. But around the turn to the 1930s, opposition against the new methods in physics grew. This article focusses on the work of those physicists and mathematicians who introduced group theoretic methods into quantum physics.Comment: Accepted by Historia Mathematica. The relation between U.S. money growth and inflation: evidence from a band-pass filter

Christiano and Fitzgerald (2003) found a significant, positive correlation between M2 money growth and CPI inflation in all examined frequency bands for the U.S. prior to 1961. However, for post-1960 data, they found a positive correlation only in the frequency band corresponding to cycles of 20-40 years. Using their filter, we verify this result and extend the pre-1961 sample to include the monetary base and inflation calculated from the GDP deflator. In addition, we extend their post-1960 analysis to include growth in the monetary base, M1, and M3. A strongly positive correlation between post-1960 money growth and inflation exits only for the broad money aggregates and within the 20-40 year frequency band.band-pass filter
