Discussion of “An analysis of global warming in the Alpine region based on nonlinear nonstationary time series models” by F. Battaglia and M. K. Protopapas

The annual temperatures recorded for the last two centuries in fifteen european stations around the Alps are analyzed. They show a global warming whose growth rate is not however constant in time. An analysis based on linear Arima models does not provide accurate results. Thus, we propose threshold nonlinear nonstationary models based on several regimes both in time and in levels. Such models fit all series satisfactorily, allow a closer description of the temperature changes evolution, and help to discover the essential differences in the behavior of the different stations

THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS MANAGEMENT IN UKRAINE

The theory and practice of management of higher educational establishments of Ukraine has a long history and is characterized by considerable experience and traditions. The article presents the findings study of the theory and practice of management in higher educational institutions in Ukraine in XIX – beginning of XXI century. The main periods of development of the theory and practice of management in higher educational institutions in Ukraine in XIX – beginning of XXI century is determined: 1802–1832, 1833–1862, 1863–1883, 1884–1917, 1917–1920, 1921-1990, 1991–2019 years as well as the characteristic features and tendencies of each of them. Views of N. Pirogov (the complete autonomy, the decentralization of universities’ management, the Ministerial panel of respected scientists interuniversity publicity etc.), K. Ushinskiy (the internal university management, the management of schools district etc.), M. Kostomarov (the idea of «an open university», increasing the authority of the University and others) and others are actualized in the investigation. The works above authors as a reliable on the basis in the development of the new trend of interdisciplinary scientific knowledge – universitology.

Higher Education Institutions and the Accounting Education In The Second Half of XIXth Century on the Ottoman Empire

The aim of this study to examine, the higher education institutions’ development and the paid attention on the accounting education in the Ottoman Empire as a consequence of efforts on conforming to the politic and economic developments of the 19th century Westernization movements and transiting to European based double-entry bookkeeping methodology. After summarizing economic and politic annals of the second half of the 19th century, founded-in the term higher education institutions are mentioned. Handout especially dwelled on the subject of accounting education in the higher education. Sample accounting doctrine books used in the education of accounting are given on the final section of the paper.

En este trabajo celebramos el Sesquicentenario de la Ley Federal N°27, ley fundacional de la Justicia Nacional, aún vigente. El abordaje es desde la Teoría General del Proceso y desde el Derecho Procesal Civil y Comercial, con énfasis en el rostro histórico y el valor como patrimonio cultural que tiene nuestra Justicia Nacional.  En un período histórico fundacional intentamos poner de relieve algunos aspectos que ayudan a comprender el sentido y significado de la Justicia Federal en nuestro país, como ser la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Nación y los Tribunales Inferiores. El Alto Tribunal tuvo la misión de transformar la letra de la Constitución en acción.With this paper we want celebrate the Sesquicentennial of the Federal Act N°27, foundational act of the national justice, still in force. The perspective of this work is from the General Theory of Civil and Commercial Process, with particular reference to the Federal Justice’s historical face and cultural heritage value. In this historical foundational period of time, we try to highlight some aspects that help to understand the sense and meaning of the Federal Courts in our country, such as the Supreme Court of Justice and the lower courts. Bohmian mechanics, the quantum-classical correspondence and the classical limit: the case of the square billiard

Square billiards are quantum systems complying with the dynamical quantum-classical correspondence. Hence an initially localized wavefunction launched along a classical periodic orbit evolves along that orbit, the spreading of the quantum amplitude being controlled by the spread of the corresponding classical statistical distribution. We investigate wavepacket dynamics and compute the corresponding de Broglie-Bohm trajectories in the quantum square billiard. We also determine the trajectories and statistical distribution dynamics for the equivalent classical billiard. Individual Bohmian trajectories follow the streamlines of the probability flow and are generically non-classical. This can also hold even for short times, when the wavepacket is still localized along a classical trajectory. This generic feature of Bohmian trajectories is expected to hold in the classical limit. We further argue that in this context decoherence cannot constitute a viable solution in order to recover classicality.Comment: Figures downgraded to low resolution; To be published in Found. Phys.
