Комплектування та збереження фондів музеїв волинської області (1991–2016 рр.) (The completing and conservation of the volyn museums’ funds (1991-2016))

У статті аналізуються шляхи поповнення фондів музейних закладів Волинської області впродовж 1991–2016 рр. Прослідковуються зміни у принципах і формах комплектування музейних предметів комунальними та громадськими музеями. Звернуто увагу на проблеми збереження музейних збірок. (There are the ways of the replenishment of the museums’ funds of Volyn region and the problems of their conservation during 1991–2016 analysed in the article. The changes of the museum objects selection principles are characterized. The attention is payed to the forms of the collections completing (the targeted acquirement, the objects detection during the expeditionary work and occasional operative actions, the donation), which are used by the communal museums. The article shows that the active members of the funds replenishment process of Volyn museums became the Ukrainian Diaspora representatives. The new form of the museums’ funds completing has appeared – the incomings from the customs, courts and the Security Service of Ukraine.

The Exposition and Exhibition Activities of the Museums of Volyn Region (1991-2016)

У статті проаналізовано експозиційну та виставкову роботу музеїв Волинської області впродовж 1991— 2016 рр. Простежено зміни, які відбулись у цьому напрямі музейної діяльності (проведення реекспозицій, розробка за новими підходами експозицій нових музеїв, представлення експозицій у мережі Інтернет, актуалізація тематики виставок). Визначено детермінанти, які вплинули на досліджувані процеси.The exposition and exhibition work of the museum institutions of Volyn region during 1991 -2016 is analysed in the article. The changes, that took place in this direction of the museum activities, are characterized. Among them there is the reexposition work in the already existing museums with the newest historical and regional ethnography investigations taken into consideration, the working out of the expositions of the new departments of Volyn Local History Museum and some public museums according to the modern approaches; the exposition presentation in the Internet. Why mediation attempts in the Nagorno – Karabakh region failed : 1991-2016

The territorial conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Nagorno – Karabakh was considered as the frozen one until the end of 2020, when it was finally resolved. Unfortunately, not the effective mediation, but warfare helped to end this dispute. This dissertation is an analysis of failed mediation attempts in the Nagorno – Karabakh region from the beginning of the conflict (1987-88) until 2016. Chapter one focuses on the theory of Old and New Wars, giving the reader clear image about disputes that have become more complicated. The significant number of unresolved conflicts in former Soviet Union republics is the best evidence of it. Chapter two gives the reader brief theoretical framework about conflict stages and mediation process. I also presented opinions of both Azerbaijan and Armenia as well as causes and stages of the dispute in Nagorno – Karabakh. Finally, in the third chapter you can see deep analysis of failed mediation attempts by various political agents: states, organizations or individuals. In order to understand measures that had been taken in order to resolve the conflict, I use theoretical typology of dispute prevention. Moreover, I try to investigate if religion or location of the particular actors have an impact on opinion towards the dispute
