Kazuo Ishiguro’s Idiostyle (Novel “Klara and the Sun”)

Interpretations of the multidimensional concept of “writer’s idiostyle” are presented in the framework of the study of its various characteristics, in particular, in the context of the study of a linguistic personality, from the point of view of the linguotypology of a literary text, from the standpoint of a communicative-activity approach. The relevance of studying the idiostyle of a particular author is due to the fact that its characteristic features and original ways of implementing the author’s intention are the most important elements of the characterization of the literary process in a certain era. The novelty of the study is seen in the fact that the new novel by the British writer of Japanese origin K. Ishiguro “Klara and the Sun” has not yet become the subject of study by literary critics. Particular attention is paid to the international aspect, which occupies a leading position in his work. The implementation of such key elements of the writer's idiostyle as genre form, type of narration, chronotope, images of characters, ideological and thematic component, leading stylistic means is analyzed. They are compared with the characteristic features of other works of the author. It is shown that in the novel “Klara and the Sun” literary devices typical for Kazuo Ishiguro’s work continue to develop, however, they receive new development and original implementation, the author’s tasks are solved in a new way, the system of images and interpretation of the main themes and ideas are built in a slightly different way

Fresh water in the city is considered as the most important strategic resource for the existence of mankind. The article reveals religious, mythological and everyday symbols of water as a necessary element of national spiritual cultures. It also describes architectural peculiarities of wells as centers of attraction for citizens, meeting places and magic rituals in different regions of the world.  The article described the distinctive features of the plot in the pilgrimage genre. It analyzed the nature of the external eventness in the pilgrimage narrations. The events of the literary life, sacred and secular history are considered as a factor of plot causing in the descriptions of pilgrimages made with religious or cultural purpose. Identified features of the pilgrimage plot in the literary works of I. Bunin, I. Shmelev and representatives of village prose. The explanation of "mythopoetic" nature of the plot in the literary works of this type. The value of the internal eventness in a pilgrimage narrations is disclosed.Keywords: pilgrimage, genre, sacred, story, event.В статті охарактеризовані відмінні риси сюжету в паломницькому жанрі. В неї проаналізований характер зовнішньої подієвості в паломницьких творах. Події літературного життя, священної та світської історії розглядаються як такий чинник, що породжує сюжет паломництв, здійснених з релігійною або культурологічною метою. Виявлені риси паломницького сюжету в творах І. Буніна, І. Шмельова та представників селянської прози. Подано пояснення «міфопоетичної» природи сюжету творів розглянутого типу. Duccio Demetrio is a professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca, scientific director of the National Center for Research and Study of Autobiography at the Free University of Autobiography of Anghiari (which he founded in 1998), founder of the Society for Pedagogy and Didactics of Letters; editor of the publication “Adultità”, which is aimed at an in-depth study of various aspects of autobiographical writing, generational memory, as well as issues related to family practices of archiving memory. Duccio Demetrio is author of many articles and monographs, such as: “Education in adult life. For a phenomenological theory of experiences and origins” [1], “Self story. Autobiography as self-care” [2], “Clinical writing. Autobiographical counselling and existential fragility” [3], “Philosophy of education in adulthood. Symbolism, myth and self-images” [4], “Ingratitude. The short memory of gratitude” [5], “Write, Brother Francis. The autonarrative manual” [6]. The main his scientific research topics are include the study of autobiographical writing as a philosophical practice, as a means for internal self-knowledge and introspection; research in education, pedagogy and didactics. This article presents an analysis of autobiographical writing, its forms and types, among which special attention paid to the study of family writings, diaries, letters, notes. In the first part the author emphasizes the dual nature of this genre — its educational and therapeutic value. The second part examines the potential applications of autobiographical notes in clinical and pedagogical practice. It also presents a wide range of types and forms of autobiographical family writings. The following is a detailed analysis of each type, with a focus on examining notes and testimonies that are a reflection of psycho-emotional states, emotional experiences and experiences.
