    As an inspired young designer, I spend a lot of my time questioning identities. Whether it’s my own identity or a clients, I have found solace in submerging myself into forming and developing engaging concepts and ideas. As a visual learner, I think of graphic design as the best form of problem solving - first concept, and then design. Throughout my design and sociology studies, I have developed in-depth methods of concept building through ethnographic and qualitative research to create brands, interactive media, illustrations, and beyond. I think a lot about human nature, sex and relationships, life and death, social problems and politics, and often reflect these ideas throughout my personal work. My interest in these subjects allows me to transform concepts, problems, and theories into visual solutions

    The role of visual communication design continues to increase in importance around the world. In Bahrain, organisations are increasingly considering visual communication design as a means of accomplishing organisational goals. The research aims to understand the process by which design managers in organisations in Bahrain manage and evaluate visual communication designs to gain strategic advantage. Even though the management of visual communication design has not yet been recognised as a separate category of design management in Bahrain, its processes and approaches may differ from other management applications. This research opens with a contextual overview of the visual communication design management field, before presenting an understanding of how visual communication design can be utilised as an innovative approach to the strategic structuring organisational thinking. Methods have been developed for investigating how Bahraini client design managers manage visual communication design projects. Observational studies and interviews with client design managers and creative directors have been conducted to obtain an understanding of the visual communication design process, together with evaluation procedures in the Bahraini context. These empirical investigations have led to the development of a conceptual framework that describes the visual communication design management process and the evaluation procedure that is carried out by client design managers in Bahrain. The remainder of this thesis explains the outcomes of each phase of the research. The unique contributions of this study are embodied in a discussion of the findings together with reflections and recommendations for those involved and interested in design management in Bahrain

Visual Communication Design is one of those sectors mentioned above. It’s proven by variant opportunities and needs of professionals in design field and similar others. However, educational facilities that organizing and producing labor in Visual Communication Design is still unavailable in Pontianak. Pontianak, Capital of West Borneo/Kalimantan which is well known as central of west kalimantan’s populations’ activites is considered as a strategic location to establish higher educational facilities for Visual Communication Design sector. Academy of Visual Communication Design in Pontianak is a tertiary education institution that organizes education in design field by providing studies related to media and communication. (especially Visual Communication Design). Throughout the education program, the academy will produce professional labors with prospects of the world of work in the field of design including: graphic designers, multimedia, visual communication, product design, illustrator, photographers, animators, web designers in Pontianak. The planning stage of the Academy using J.C. Jones model which consists of concept, data collecting, analyze, synthesize, evaluation and optimalization.     Mathematics students are learning outcomes associated with many factors. Learning style, independence learning, and parents’ attention are some of the factors allegedly related to learning outcomes. The researches are intended to know about is there any positive correlation and significance or not between learning style, independence learning, parents’ attention and mathematics learning outcomes of grade X Visual Communication Design students of State Vocational High School 5 Yogyakarta (SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta) in the even semester of the academic year of 2016/2017.  The population in this research was the student's grade X Visual Communication Design of SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta of 2016/2017, consisting of class  X Visual Communication Design A and class X Visual Communication Design B,  totaling 62 students. Samples were taken from X Visual Communication Design B as the research sample class and random sampling technique. The writer uses a questionnaire method to collect the learning style, independence learning, parents’ attention, and test method to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between learning style, independence learning, parents’ attention with mathematics learning outcomes of grade X Visual Communication Design students of SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta in the even semester of the academic year of 2016/2017.     Visual communication design as an interdisciplinary term makes a reference to many disciplines which have focused on communication and presentation point to transmit the messages, prepared as visuals, to target the audience. Especially after the industrial revolution, the visual communication design phenomenon, which in its existence is an influential field in creating consumer-wise shoppers and the visuals are increasing their power with mass communication. Visual communication design as a sustainable phenomenon with more powerful interaction zone, which has been differed from within the several unstable paradigm axis, from Bauhaus to present, maintains its existence by including the aesthetic concerns in designs. Consumption culture has been created by dwelling on the individuals’ consumption perceptions. In post-industrial societies, people aim to satisfy the needs of their egos, by getting a hedonic benefit, rather than their material needs by means of the products they have purchased. At this point, visual communication design as a field, being at the middle of capitalism and consumption culture, it has been an inter-bedded phenomenon with consumption in all ages.

    This research stems from the analysis and review process of the field of Visual Communication Design (VCD) as one of the disciplines that contribute to the preservation of Minangkabau culture and local wisdom. From several research findings, it is evident that VCD can be considered as an academic discipline, and more narrowly, visual communication design media can be employed as a subject in preserving Minangkabau culture and local wisdom. One of the objectives of this research is to underscore that the field of visual communication design, as a subject, can be utilized to promote efforts to preserve and enhance the existence of this discipline in conserving the culture. The research methodology adopted for this study is qualitative (literature review and content analysis). Data were collected through the process of analyzing and reviewing books, journals, articles, and works produced through visual communication media. The research results manifest in descriptive statements that emphasize visual communication design's potential as a medium for preserving Minangkabau culture and local wisdom. Furthermore, this research can be used as a reference and can contribute to the development of the curriculum in the case study area, namely the Visual Communication Design program located in West Sumatr

    A Research on the Creativity Design Method of Visual Communication Design

    [[abstract]]Among the practice of visual communication design, we usually judge the work on the creativity of the design. However, what “creativity” exactly is? What visual forms shall “creative performances” contain in visual communication design? Is there any standard to follow in creative design? Those are the task which this research intends to clarify with the final purpose to construct a “creative design method of visual communication design” as the reference of the future practical creation in design structure. The research begins with literature review in the hope to clarify the basic theoretical principals of skill of visual communication design through the relevant research results of the scholars & experts. Practical design application test of the “creative design method of visual communication design” is conducted through the case analysis of actual design competition and virtual design topic. Through the verification of these 2 stages, it is hoped to conclude the “creative design method of visual communication design” with theoretical base and practical demands under their interlinear. It is concluded in the research that “creativity” is an issue of personal reception which can’t be discussed below-by below, however, there is existed common creativity principle to pursuit. Five evaluation conditions of “creativity character of visual communication design” are listed as below:. Original visual display with no former example.. Equip with intensive visual attraction with the visual construction of comprehensive display of esthetics and tension.. Express simple idea which directly hit the core and will not cause blur or allo-interpretation. . Masterly design with multiple levels of comprehension fun in the work. The creative work recognized by the view definitely touches his/her heart with movement. The proper and overall “creative design method of visual communication design” is indeed helpful as the reference of the structure of the execution of the design creation. It will help the creator: Before the design generationAssist you to control the issue core, offer you the direction and method of data collection.
