Jets, Blazars and the EBL in the GLAST-EXIST Era

The synergy of GLAST and the proposed EXIST mission as the Black Hole Finder Probe in the Beyond Einstein Program is remarkable. With its full-sky per orbit hard X-ray imaging (3-600 keV) and "nuFnu" sensitivity comparable to GLAST, EXIST could measure variability and spectra of Blazars in the hard X-ray synchrotron component simultaneous with GLAST (~10-100GeV) measures of the inverse Compton component, thereby uniquely constraining intrinsic source spectra and allowing measured high energy spectral breaks to measure the cosmic diffuse extra-galactic background light (EBL) by determining the intervening diffuse IR photon field required to yield the observed break from photon-photon absorption. Such studies also constrain the physics of jets (and parameters and indeed the validity of SSC models) and the origin of the >100 MeV gamma-ray diffuse background likely arising from Blazars and jet-dominated sources. On the Existence of Spacetime Structure

I examine the debate between substantivalists and relationalists about the ontological character of spacetime and conclude it is not well posed. I argue that the so-called Hole Argument does not bear on the debate, because it provides no clear criterion to distinguish the positions. I propose two such precise criteria and construct separate arguments based on each to yield contrary conclusions, one supportive of something like relationalism and the other of something like substantivalism. The lesson is that one must fix an investigative context in order to make such criteria precise, but different investigative contexts yield inconsistent results. I examine questions of existence about spacetime structures other than the spacetime manifold itself to argue that it is more fruitful to focus on pragmatic issues of physicality, a notion that lends itself to several different explications, all of philosophical interest, none privileged a priori over any of the others. ANALISIS RISIKO PENURUNAN MUTU IKAN LEMURU SELAMA AKTIVITAS PENANGANAN DI UD. DUTA QURAESY, JEMBER

Duta Quraesy merupakan pemasok ikan lemuru ke pabrik pengolahan ikan untuk diolah menjadi sarden. Penanganan ikan harus diperhatikan agar mutu tetap terjaga karena lemuru mudah rusak dan busuk. Mutu lemuru berpengaruh terhadap pendapatan UD. Duta Quraesy. Maka perlu diidentifikasi hal-hal yang dapat menurunkan mutu ikan agar dapat dicegah/diminimalisir. Penelitian dilakukan di UD. Duta Quraesy dan pabrik pengolahan ikan di Banyuwangi pada Februari 2022 dengan metode analisis risiko. Analisis risiko terdiri dari identifikasi potensi bahaya, estimasi frekuensi kejadian, dan estimasi tingkat keparahan. Tingkat risiko didapat dari korelasi antara frekuensi kejadian dan tingkat keparahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 11 aktivitas penanganan yang dilakukan oleh UD. Duta Quraesy. Terdapat 40 potensi bahaya dengan 24 jenis yang berbeda selama aktivitas penanganan tersebut. Sebanyak 4 jenis potensi bahaya masing-masing berisiko rendah dan sedang, 9 potensi bahaya berisiko tinggi, dan 7 potensi bahaya berisiko sangat tinggi. Lima belas potensi bahaya dapat dikendalikan dengan cara administratif, 1 potensi bahaya dengan cara administratif dan Alat Perlindungan Diri (APD), 2 potensi bahaya dengan administratif dan rekayasa teknik, 3 potensi bahaya dengan administratif dan subsitusi, 1 potensi bahaya masing-masing dengan subsitusi, subsitusi dan rekayasa teknik, dan penggunaan APD. Pengaruh ekuitas merek, kualitas produk dan keakraban merek terhadap niat pembelian Semen gresik di sidoarjo

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of brand equity, product quality, and brand familiarity on purchase intention of semen Gresik in Sidoarj. According to the population charateristics, sample used in this reseacrch is amount 74 person for each reseacrch object. This research used quantitative approach by use primary data obtained by spreading questionare to research respondent. While data analysis in this research done by multiple linier regresision analysis method by IBM SPSS Statistics 25 computer program. From the reseacrh hypotesis testing know that brand equity partially has a significant effect on purchase intention, while product quality has an effect on purchase intention, while brand familiarity has a significant effect on purchase intention. Can wormholes exist?

Renormalized vacuum expectation values of electromagnetic stress-energy tensor are calculated in the background spherically-symmetrical metric of the wormhole's topology. Covariant geodesic point separation method of regularization is used. Violation of the weak energy condition at the throat of wormhole takes place for geometry sufficiently close to that of infinitely long wormhole of constant radius irrespectively of the detailed form of metric. This is an argument in favour of possibility of existence of selfconsistent wormhole in empty space maintained by vacuum field fluctuations in the wormhole's background.Comment: 10 pages, Plain LaTeX, preprint UUITP-20/199
