    Disaster Communication and Information Literacy of Mothers in Facing Flood Disasters in Banjar Regency

    This study aims to analyze disaster communication literacy in mothers in dealing with floods in Banjar Regency. This study is qualitative research and uses a case study type. Data collection techniques using semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants in this study are mothers who have children and live in the Banjar Regency area. Supporting informants are BPBD as an institution involved in flood disaster management. Data analysis in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding/verification. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the literacy of maternal disaster communication in Banjar Regency was still weak. Literacy is related to exposure to information, the ability to find information and communicate that information to the critical ability to the information provided by the authorities either directly or through the media or from community leaders. Both during litigation, countermeasures even after a disaster occurs. This can be caused by the choice of information media from the government that is not fit with the characteristics of mothers in Banjar district

    Media and Disaster Mitigation Literacy

    This study aims to examine the effectiveness of disaster communication media in improving disaster mitigation literacy for the community in Pengaron District, Banjar Regency. This study is a quantitative research and uses an experimental type. Data collection techniques used pre-test and post-test questionnaires, observation and documentation. Respondents in this study were people who were affected by floods in January 2022 in Pengaron, Banjar Regency. Supporting informants are BNPB as an institution involved in flood disaster management. The sample in this study amounted to 20 people for the experimental group and 20 people for the control group with data analysis techniques Paired sample t-test using the SPSS application. 22.00. There was a significant difference between the control group and the experimental group who listened to the intervention media, especially on indicators of scientific and non-scientific knowledge, evidence of disaster interpretation and knowledge to explain disaster context. Meanwhile, on critical and evaluative indicators, assessing disaster conditions, and interpreting disasters, there is no significant difference between the control group without media intervention and the experimental group with media intervention in the Pengaron village community

    Millennial Moms : Social Media as The Preferred Source of Information about Parenting in Indonesia

    This study aims to know about how social media is the preferred source of information about parenting on millennial moms or young mothers in Indonesia. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach through survey. The survey was conducted by using a questionnaire distributed online to the respondents via Facebook. The measuring is clarified by six dimensions: rejection, punishment, support, responsiveness, autonomy, and warmth. The sampling technique is done by accidental sampling techniques with strict criteria. The sample size were 443 social media users that meet the research criteria. Research criteria are a mother that born in 1980-2000s and actively using social media. Data analysis technique is done by crosstab descriptive analysis using SPSS 22 application. Based on the result, it is revealed that 55,4 % of millennial moms prefer the internet especially social media as a source for information on parenting. The most order of choice of social media is WhatsApp (94,8%), Instagram (82,8%), Facebook (79,2%). Most of them often applied the rejection, punishment, support, responsiveness, autonomy and warmth component of parenting in their childcare at home. Millennial moms prefer social media to other sources of information, such as family and neighborhood. This condition indicates that traditional value and family no longer play as the strongest influence in millennial moms parenting. This can be an opportunity for government and parenting activists to expand the parenting campaign through social medi

    This research aimed was the grid of personal branding image of Anies Baswedanthrough Facebook and Twitter account on Banjarmasin society. This researchused quantitative approach with descriptive type. The population was Banjarmasin society aged 17-24 years old. Sample that taken was 399 people, sample retrieval techniques used cluster random sampling. The method of data collection used questionnaire and observation, while the method of data analysis used image analysis grid by Kotler with the degree of trust was 95%. The results of the research, personal branding image of anies baswedan on familiarity scale is74,44% or 297 respondents from 399 respondent of total samples, categorizedon less know about Anies Baswedan. That means only 25,56% or 102 respondents who know him. Based on favorability scale there were 76,25% or 77 respondents from 102 respondents who know Anis Baswedan, categorized him asa good image of personal branding. Based on grid analysis model Anis Baswedan\u27s Personal Branding are less known and good image. That means personal branding image of anies baswedan was located on grid B, that was the assessment of respondents about Anies Baswedan was he does not well known but he has a good image

    The purpose of this study is to determine the difference of communication apprehension among undergraduate students of communication science study program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University based on communication context and extrovertintrovert of personality types. The method of this research is quantitative method and comparative study. The data was collected by Para Tingkat questionnaire of Situational Communitaion Apprehension by Devito () and extrovert-introvert MBTI personality type test by Myers (). The samples were 80 undergraduate students. The data were analyzed by One Way Anova and independent sample T-Test. In analyzing the data, it also used SPSS 18.00. The result of this study is that there are significant differences of communication apprehension among undergraduate students of communication science study program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University based on communication context with F 11,415 and p 0.000 0,050. Thus, hypothesis 1 is accepted. There is no significant difference of communication apprehension among students based on extrovertintrovert  extrovertintrovert personality type with F 0.115 and p 0.734 0.050.
