REAL-TIME MONITORING DEFORMATION OF BUILDING USING PHOTOGRAPHY DYNAMIC MONITORING SYSTEM

The spatial structure building is a type of building system; it is necessary to monitor deformation to determine its stability and robustness. Under the dynamic deformation of structures, it is challenging to determine appropriate zero image (the reference image) if we use the PST-IM- MP (photograph scale transformation-image matching-motion parallax) method to obtain the deformation of structures. This paper offers the Z-MP (zero-centered motion parallax) method to solve these problems and offers PDMS (Photography Dynamic Monitoring System) based on the digital photography system to monitor the dynamic deformation of the tennis stadium located in Jinan Olympic Sports Center. The results showed that the spatial structures of the tennis stadium were robust, and the deformations were elastic and within the permissible value. Compared with the PST-IM-MP method, the Z-MP method is more suitable for deformation monitoring structures under real-time deformation. This paper indicates PDMS has advantages of the simplicity of operations, automation, and the ability of non-contact dynamic deformation monitoring for multiple points in a short period. In the future, it will have broader application prospects

MGDTI: Graph Transformer with Meta-Learning for Drug-Target Interaction Prediction

Drug-target interaction (DTI) prediction is of great importance for drug discovery and development. With the rapid development of biological and chemical technologies, computational methods for DTI prediction are becoming a promising strategy. However, there are few methods which explore solving the cold-start problem in DTI prediction scenarios due to most of existing methods require modeling under the existing interaction that can’t effectively capture information from new drugs and new targets which have few interactions in existing literature. In this paper, we propose a graph transformer method based on meta-learning named MGDTI to fill the gap. In particular, we employ drug-drug similarity and target-target similarity as additional information for network to mitigate the scarcity of interactions. Besides, we trained our model via meta-learning to be adaptive to cold-start tasks. Moreover, we introduced graph transformer to prevent over-smoothing by capturing long-range dependencies. Comparison results on the benchmark dataset demonstrate that our proposed MGDTI is effective in the DTI prediction

Identification, physical mechanisms and impacts of drought–flood abrupt alternation: a review

Climate change has led to an increase in the frequency of extreme events, such as droughts and floods. This study aims to review the literature on the newly proposed phenomenon known as drought-flood abrupt alternation (DFAA). A comprehensive summary is provided to round up the numerous approaches employed to identify DFAA events, as well as its mechanisms and impacts. To provide a reference for responding and managing the emerging intensity and frequency of DFAA events, we conclude the paper by listing the insufficiency of current research and suggesting possible future research directions. As for the impact of DFAA, besides the loss of life and property which can be caused by any natural disaster, a DFAA event severely threatens food security by making a lasting and profound impact on the land productivity through the alteration of the combining conditions of water, soil, and temperature. As for the future research directions, existing indexes developed for DFAA identification should be improved by downscaling the temporal and spatial scale, with interactions of neighboring drought and flood events taken into consideration. What’s more, to better protect human society from the losses caused by DFAA, researches on accurate DFAA prediction are encouraged

    A gate-programmable van der Waals metal-ferroelectric-semiconductor memory

Ferroelecticity, one of the keys to realize nonvolatile memories owing to the remanent electric polarization, has been an emerging phenomenon in the two-dimensional (2D) limit. Yet the demonstrations of van der Waals (vdW) memories using 2D ferroelectric materials as an ingredient are very limited. Especially, gate-tunable ferroelectric vdW memristive device, which holds promises in future neuromorphic applications, remains challenging. Here, we show a prototype gate-programmable memory by vertically assembling graphite, CuInP2S6, and MoS2 layers into a metal-ferroelectric-semiconductor architecture. The resulted devices exhibit two-terminal switchable electro-resistance with on-off ratios exceeding 105 and long-term retention, akin to a conventional memristor but strongly coupled to the ferroelectric characteristics of the CuInP2S6 layer. By controlling the top gate, Fermi level of MoS2 can be set inside (outside) of its band gap to quench (enable) the memristive behaviour, yielding a three-terminal gate programmable nonvolatile vdW memory. Our findings pave the way for the engineering of ferroelectric-mediated memories in future implementations of nanoelectronics

Regulatory Mechanisms of the Wnt/β-Catenin Pathway in Diabetic Cutaneous Ulcers

Skin ulcers are a serious complication of diabetes. Diabetic patients suffer from vascular lesions and complications such as peripheral neuritis, peripheral vascular lesions, and collagen abnormalities, which result in skin wounds that are refractory and often develop into chronic ulcers. The healing of skin ulcers requires an inflammatory reaction, wound proliferation, remodeling regulation, and control of stem cells. Studies investigating diabetic cutaneous ulcers have focused on cellular and molecular levels. Diabetes can cause nerve and blood vessel damage, and persistent high blood sugar levels can cause systemic multisite nerve damage based on peripheral neuropathy. The long-term hyperglycemia state enables the polyol glucose metabolism pathway to be activated, increasing the accumulation of toxic substances in the vascular injured nerve tissue cells. Sustained hyperglycemia leads to dysfunction of epithelial cells, leading to a decrease in pro-angiogenic signaling and nitric oxide production. In addition, due to impaired leukocyte function in hyperglycemia, immune function is impaired and the immune response at relevant sites is insufficient, making diabetic foot more difficult to heal. The Wnt/β-catenin pathway is a highly conserved signal transduction pathway involved in a variety of biological processes, such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation. It is considered an important pathway involved in the healing of skin wounds. This article summarizes the mechanism of action of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway involved in the inflammatory responses to diabetic ulcers, wound proliferation, wound remodeling, and stem cells. The interactions between the Wnt signal pathway and other metabolic pathways are also discussed
