    Kesalahan Artikulasi Phonemes Bahasa Inggris Mahasiswa Prodi Bahasa Inggris Unmas Denpasar; Sebuah Kajian Fonologi Generatif

    The comprehension of English speech must be entirely based on the ability of producing appropriate articulation. This study is simply conducted to find out errors in English phoneme and supra segmental elements which are produced by students of English Study program at Mahasaraswati Denpasar university in academic year 2013/2014. The study made use a descriptive qualitative approach. The population of the study was the third, fifth and seventh semester students in which 35 of them was taken as sample of the study. The data was collected by using test, questioner and open interview. The collected data was analyzed by interactive analysis. Based on the result of data analysis, it shows that the whole errors in articulation of English Phonemes was 532 in total. It consisted of 132 or 23% for errors in fricative, 387 or 72,7 % for errors in allophones, 4 or 0,75% for errors in vowel production and 11 or 2,1% for intonation and 7 or 1,3% for stress syllable. Types of errors found were Omission (35,3 %), Addition (6,01 %), Misinformation (51,5 %) and Disordering (7,14 %). The causes of errors wereoovergeneralizations (18 %), Incomplete Applications of Rules (31,01 %), False Concepts Hypothesized (25 %) and Ignore of Rule Restriction (25,37 %). It can be concluded that the students of English Study program still have problems in appropriate English articulation. Considering to thesignificance of acuracy in expressing spoken message, the lectures must pay deep attention to this matters and fix them by encouraging, engaging and envolving them any time practice.

    Green marketing as one of the marketing strategies that can be applied by marketers to retain customers without a negative impact on the environment. To create an eco-friendly brand can use green trust as one of the variables that are assumed to strengthen the influence of green brand image of green brand equity through the implementation of green marketing. The purpose of this study to prove the determinants that can reinforce brand value of green products Bali Tangi. This study focused on the city of Denpasar by taking the 100 respondents as sample through random sampling method with multiple criteria. This study used a technique confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis. The results of this study prove that green trusts have a role in bridging effect occurs on the variable green brand image of green brand equity. In the future, this research can be used as a reference for companies in implementing policies related to strategies to increase the brand value of green products in a positive directio

    Ditinjau dari distribusi aliran (wake) yang ada di daerah sekitar piringan Baling-Baling dan distribusi kecepatan aksial aliran di belakang Baling-Baling, disimpulkan bahwa kecepatan aliran air pada daerah atas (puncak) Baling-Baling adalah yang paling besar dan akan menurun secara bertahap mendekati nol pada boss Baling-Baling. Kemudian secara bertahap kembali membesar ke arah bawah Baling-Baling sampai kecepatan alirannya mendekati kecepatan kapal. Dengan melihat bentuk distribusi aksial yang menyerupai ekor ikan (kecil pada pusatnya dan membesar pada kedua ujungnya), dibuatlah suatu bentuk kemudi yang menyerupai ekor ikan yang mampu memanfaatkan aliran air secara efektif dan optimal untuk mendapatkan olah gerak kapal yang lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan bentuk kemudi yang sudah ada. Penelitian dilakukan dengan bantuan software ANSYS dengan memodelkan dua jenis daun kemudi, yaitu kemudi pelat tipe ekor ikan dan kemudi pelat konvensional. Kedua jenis kemudi divariasikan sudut beloknya ke dalam delapan variasi sudut belok, yaitu pada sudut -50, 00, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300. Distribusi gaya belok pada masing - masing kemudi pada tiap variasi sudut dapat dilihat setelah simulasi selesai dilakukan. Validasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil simulasi dengan hasil analisa numerik yang dikembangkan di Laboratorium Hidrodinamika Indonesia. Data simulasi memiliki kesesuaian hasil dengan data analisa numerik yang membuktikan bahwa kemudi pelat ekor ikan mampu mendistribusikan gaya belok lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kemudi pelat konvensional, sehingga mampu menambah kemampuan maneuver kapal

    The rapid development of hotel industry in Bali is very competitive, particularly on the growth of budget hotels in Kuta Tourism Area which has increased in significant amount. The key to maintain competitive advantage in the competitive environment lies in how to deliver service quality in order to achieve customer loyalty. The effect of service quality to customer loyalty increases with the role of image and customer satisfaction. This study was conducted in budget hotels in Kuta Tourism Area through 200 respondents. The results of this study showed that service quality, hotel image, and customer satisfaction have a positive and significant effect toward customer loyalty. Hotel image and customer satisfaction are as well stated as a mediator in the service quality and customer loyalty relationship.     Business development has grown increasingly competitive and globalized with changes in various aspects. Work rules, too, changed based on new ways, not only by the level of skill or training and experience, but also by how well it is working to control his emotions to manage themselves and relate to others. The rules are expected to work to make a success of satisfying themselves, others, and the organization especially in leadership. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of intelligence of spiritual, emotional, intellectual on transformational leadership and employee performance. This study was conducted in PT. Pos Indonesia Denpasar Branch. Number of sample were 114 respondents. Collecting data using questionnaires. Data analysis technique using path analysis. The results showed the intellectual has a positive and significant effect of transformational leadership style showed higher levels of intellectual a better leader transformational leadership style. Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant influence on the transformational leadership style showed higher emotional intelligence, the better the transformational leadership. Spiritual intelligence has a positive and significant influence on the transformational leadership style showed higher spiritual intelligence transformational the better leadership. Transformational leadership significant positive effect on the performance of the better shows the transformational leadership will lead to increased performance as well

    Dua kelompok kecil USAha pembuatan Banten yang diketuai oleh Men Dea dan pengolah daging upacara dikelola oleh Pan Rika di Banjar Kebayan, Tangeb, Kecamatan Mengwi pada mulanya memiliki kendala dibidang perawatan bahan baku, langkah-langkah pembuatan, pemahaman arti Banten serta pemasaran. Melalui hibah internal, mereka telah mendapatkan Ipteks bagi Masyarakat melalui pendampingan dan pelatihan yang dibiayai oleh Universitas Mahasaraswati. Pertama, pelatihan pembuatan Banten dan darma wacana tentang Banten telah mengasilkan buku tentang makna filosofis,tata cara pembuatan Banten dan olahan daging caru. Kedua, pendampingan rancang bangun telah mengasilkan kandang untuk USAha dan rak Banten untuk menampung produk pesanan. Ketiga, pelatihan managemen kewirausahaan dan pemasaran telah terwujud dalam bentuk pembukuan dan reklame penjualan ayam dan itik Banten. Hasil Kegiatan ini berdampak langsung pada penguatan makna, etika pembuatan Banten serta pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat melalui USAha rintisan penyedian bahan baku daging upacara dengan manajemen keuangan dan pembukuan yang baik.

    Pendekatan Penyusunan Soal Bagi Guru-guru Bahasa Inggris SMP Sekecamatan Mengwi

    Penyusunan soal bahasa Inggris yang disusun guru belum sesuai kaidah dan pendekatan penyusunan soal sehingga perlu USAha peningkatan kualitas. Penelitian ini dilaksankan untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal para guru-guru bahasa Inggris sekecamatan Mengwi dan tingkat pengaruh pendekatan soal. Pelaksanaan penelitian bagi guru-guru telah melalui proses sistematik penelitian ilmiah dengan pendekatan pra-eksperimen dengan model tes awal-tes akhir kelompok tunggal. Sumber data melalui metode probality random sampling dengan teknik sample stratifikasi random. Jumlah sampel keseluruhan adalah 15 guru-guru dari 10 sekolah yang ada kesecamatan Mengwi. Desain ini meliputi test awal berupa penyusunan soal ulangan. Kemudian mereka telah diberikan perlakuan, berupa Treatment tentang pendekatan penyusunan soal serta latihan. Dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh workshop terhadap kemampuan guru, mereka diberikan ulangan akhir. Berdasarkan pengamatan, Treatment dan latihan tentang pendekatan tes telah mempengaruhi kemampuan guru-guru dalam menyusun soal ulangan sendiri sesuai kaidah-kaidah, tipe-tipe aau prinsip-prinsip pendekatan tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji t sampel berpasangan dengan menggunakan software SPSS 17 for Windows dengan diperoleh nilai p=0.000 (t= -8.386,df=14)<α = 0.05 bahwa Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa workshop pendekatan penyusunan soal memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan guru-guru Bahasa Inggris se-kecamatan Mengwi.     The purpose of this study is to describe the difference between science process skill and science learning achievement between the students joining the contextual teaching and learning model and the students joining conventional learning model of the students of Elementary School. This research used the Posttest-only Control Group Design. The population of this study was the fourth grade students of Elementary School Cluster V Dr Soetomo. The sample of 91 students was taken by using random sampling technique. There were two kinds of instruments namely observation sheet and achievement test. The data obtained were analyzed using Manova. The result of this research indicates: First, the process skill of students joining the contextual teaching and learning model is better than those joining conventional learning model. Second, the learning achievement of students joining a contextual teaching and learning model is better than those joining a conventional learning model. Third, there is the influence of the implementation of contextual teaching and learning model on process skill and students' learning achievement simultaneously

    Premixed Combustion of Coconut Oil on Perforated Burner

    Coconut oil premixed combustion behavior has been studied experimentally on perforated burner with equivalence ratio (φ) varied from very lean until very rich. The results showed that burning of glycerol needs large number of air so that the laminar burning velocity (SL) is the highest at very lean mixture and the flame is in the form of individual Bunsen flame on each of the perforated plate hole. As φ is increased the SL decreases and the secondary Bunsen flame with open tip occurs from φ =0.54 at the downstream of perforated flame. The perforated flame disappears at φ = 0.66 while the secondary Bunsen flame still exist with SL increases following that of hexadecane flame trend and then extinct when the equivalence ratio reaches one or more. Surrounding ambient air intervention makes SL decreases, shifts lower flammability limit into richer mixture, and performs triple and cellular flames. The glycerol diffusion flame radiation burned fatty acids that perform cellular islands on perforated hole. Without glycerol, laminar flame velocity becomes higher and more stable as perforated flame at higher φ. At rich mixture the Bunsen flame becomes unstable and performs petal cellular around the cone flame front
