Connotative Meaning of Satirical Representation on the Major Character in the Ugly Truth Movie

This research aims to analyze the connotative meanings of satirical representation in comedy movie. This research focuses on the dialogues of Mike Chadway as the major character in The Ugly Truth movie directed by Robert Luketic. The writer uses a descriptive qualitative method to collect and to analyze data. The results of the connotative meanings are three classifications, which are an impressive looks, a monotonous person, and an ugly creature. Each satirical representation that expressed through connotaive meanings has different techniques and functions. There are three satirical techniques, which are hyperbole, simile, and metaphor. There are three functions of satire, which are criticizing, entertaining, and educating. The major character uses of some hyperboles and metaphorical expressions to criticize the targets and to present the entertainment to the other characters. Abstrack : This study aims to determine how much Effect Paper Puppet Play in children aged 5-6 years against Speech Child. This study consists of two variables: Puppet Play Paper and Speech. The hypothesis proposed in this study are as follows: Games of paper puppets can enhance the ability to speak in children aged 5-6 years in early childhood Hope, Village Sukamulia, District municipality Sail, Pekanbaru. The study involved 20 sabjek ie 506 year olds in early childhood Sukamulia Village, District municipality Sail, Pekanbaru. Methods of data collection in this study using observation. Data collection techniques in this research use descriptive qualitative data.The results showed no significant positive relationship between the game Puppet Paper with Speech in children aged 5-6 years in early childhood in Hope, Village Sukamulia, District municipality Sail, Pekanbaru. From the above data analysis is known to occur upgrades speaking children aged 5-6 years through a paper puppet game. The average rate earned on pre-cycle activity reached 33.75% in the category yet Evolving (BB), then the first cycle average rate reached 40.68% are in category Start Evolving (MB) and the second cycle the average rate of return increased to 63.18%

The Effects of Return on Investment and Corporate Governance Mechanism of the Issuer\u27s Manufactur Stock Price in Indonesia Stock Exchange

This study to examine the effect of corporate governance mechanisms are proxied by institutional ownership and combining with fundamentals such as return on investment (ROI). Given this research are expected to know which factors have an influence on the value of the stock price is proxied by cloce pricing. The sample used in this study is a manufacturing company, located in the Jakarta Stock Exchange and using purposive sampling method. The data analyzed are from the audited financial statements from 2010 to 2013 and obtained from the JSE, ICMD, BAPEPAM, UNS and Corner Exchange and other financial information from the internet. Meanwhile, to test the hypothesis used multiple linear regression test so as to know the effect of the independent variable (KpIn and ROI) on stock prices. The results of this study indicate that simultaneous ROI affect the company\u27s stock price, while institutional ownership has no effect.The results of this study are expected to be used as information for investors and issuers of variable institusioanl ownership and fundamental information that can affect the stock price of a company, whereas for academic instructional materials to strengthen the capital market courses and financial managemen

Analysis of Indonesia Business Cycle Through Composite Leading Indicator Data Processing for Banking Industry

This study aimed to analyze business cycle of Indonesia through data processing CLI (Composite Leading Indicator) and to obtain an investment leading indicator which a composite of several indicators. This study used OECD method and used time series data, i.e. quarterly data from 2001-2013. The result of the analysis of this study was the formed CLI was well functioned (significant), although the correlation coefficient both not overlapped (low). Because IDX Composite movement was more volatile than GDP movement. However, the formed CLI was capable in following the cyclical movement of the reference series (significant). The result of hypotheses in this study was assumed that there were some variables that met the category as leading indicator in GDP reference series that were: CPI, exchange rate, property credit and housing loan. While the variables in the reference series IDX composite namely: import capital, Pi_paper, export manufacture, export agriculture, housing loan and property credit. In this study, especially for the government and central bank (Bank of Indonesia), they should be able to work together in making policies that pay attention to the economic variables classified in leading indicators

Preparasi Nanopartikel Kitosan-tpp/ Ekstrak Etanol Daging Buah Mahkota Dewa (Phaleriamacrocarpa (Scheff) Boerl) Dengan Metode Gelasi Ionik

Mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff) Boerl) is one of the plants frequently used as anticancer. But mahkota dewa extract have a high toxicity. One of certain effort that could reduces the toxic effect of medicine is nanoparticle decivery. The aims of this study were to make nanoparticle from chitosan-mahkota dewa extract using TPP as a cross linker and to determine it\u27s particle size, zeta potential, loading capacity and loading efficiency. Chitosan nanoparticles extract of Phaleria macrocarpa fruits with TPP as cross linker by ionic gelation method. Chitosan was dissolved in acetic buffer solution at pH 4 with various concentrations (0.045 and 0.09 % b/v), meanwhile tripolyphosphate (0.009 dan 0.018 % b/v) with volume compare (5 : 1). The characterizations of chitosan nanoparticles of extract were determined by measure its particle size, zeta potential, loading capacity, and determining efficiency value nanoparticle process formed. The results showed that the most stable extract were on concentration 0.68 and 0.9 mg/ml (kitosan 0.09 % b/v, TPP 0.018 % b/v) with 350 rpm stirring speed. The average of nanoparticle size were 190.9 and 162.87 nm. The zeta potential were 48.5 mV and 60.86 mV, the loading capacity were 2.96 and 5.33 %, than the loading efficiency were 35.75 and 45.26 %. Stres Pengasuhan Ibu dan Perannya dalam Perlakuan Salah Ibu terhadap Anak

Perlakuan salah ibu terhadap anak merupakan fenomena yang penting dan membutuhkan perhatian khusus. Dampak dari perlakuan salah ibu terhadap anak sangat penting dan signifikan bagi tumbuh kembang anak selanjutnya. Fenomena tersebut dapat terjadi, salah satunya karena adanya stres pengasuhan ibu. Stres pengasuhan ibu muncul disebabkan oleh adanya tugas mengasuh anak yang sangat kompleks. Tugas tersebut seringkali harus dilakukan dalam situasi yang sangat menuntut, dengan sumber daya pribadi dan fisik yang terbatas, sehingga dapat menyebabkan ibu mengalami gangguan dalam pengasuhan dan memberikan perlakuan salah terhadap anak. Artikel ini merupakan kajian pustaka yang bertujuan memperoleh gambaran mengenai stres pengasuhan ibu dan perannya dalam perlakuan salah ibu terhadap anak. Berdasarkan kajian yang dilakukan, stres pengasuhan ibu dapat terjadi karena penilaian ibu terhadap stres. Penilaian tersebut memicu distorsi dan bias kognitif ibu mengenai anak dan tugas-tugas dalam pengasuhan anak. Kehadiran anak dapat menjadi sumber stres. Ibu dapat menilai anak sebagai kerugian, ancaman, atau tantangan. Perlakuan salah ibu terhadap anak dapat terjadi ketika ibu menganggap kehadiran anak sebagai kerugian dan ancaman. Hal ini dapat mengganggu pengasuhan yang diberikan oleh ibu, sehingga ibu memberikan perlakuan yang salah terhadap anak. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya gambaran dalam artikel ini dapat membantu untuk memetakan variabel-variabel yang diperlukan ketika meneliti stres pengasuhan ibu dalam kaitannya dengan perlakuan salah ibu terhadap anak.Kata kunci: maternal stress, parenting stress, cognitive appraisal, child maltreatmen

The Spermatozoa Quality of Kampong Chicken Using Various Diluents

Kampong chicken has great potential to be developed into superior breed in an effort to support food security and improve farmer welfare. This study aims to determine the effect of adding lactose to free-range chicken semen macroscopically and microscopically. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Center for Artificial Insemination at the Food Security and Animal Husbandry Service of North Sumatra Province in October 2020 - January 2021. This study used a Randomized Block Design method with treatment P0 ( Semen control) P1 (Semen with Ringers diluent), P2 (Semen with diluent lactose), P3 (Semen with Ringers diluent + Lactose), macroscopic test and parameters include color, volume, concentration and pH of semen. To determine the quality of spermatozoa can be seen from the motility test, abnormality and viability. The results showed that the use of Ringer + lactose diluent in chicken semen stored for 8 hours at 40C during the study had a very significant effect on spermatozoa motility with values: P0 (52.88% a), P1 (21.64% bc). P2 (31.39% b), P3 (19.57% c) respectively and had no significant effect on abnormalities of spermatozoa with values: P0 (6.59% tn), P1 (6.11% tn), P2 (7, 36% tn), P3 (4.4% tn) respectively. As conclusions that the use of ringers + lactose diluent can work well to defend spermatozoa from damage to cell membranes resulting from the elements contained in ringers and lactose solutions which can be used as an energy source when the semen is cold shock during the storage perio
