Pandemic as Portal: Disrupting the Violence of Epistemicide in Teacher Education
Epistemicide involves more than just the accidental displacement of different knowledges. By its very nature, epistemicide involves the intentional silencing, devaluing, and violent destruction of knowledge systems (Mignolo, 2007). While much has been written about radically altering education by including other knowledge in schools, what this entails within the context of teacher education methods courses, particularly during the pandemic, has received less attention. This paper examines and discusses what creating another teacher education might involve by probing some of the spaces and openings for epistemic disobedience exposed and made visible during the pandemic. My conceptualization of another teacher education simultaneously theorizes what might be possible in terms of epistemic pluralism while also confronting the erasure and displacement of different knowledge systems in teacher education courses
Dirac quasinormal modes of two-dimensional charged Dilatonic Black Holes
We study charged fermionic perturbations in the background of two-dimensional
charged Dilatonic black holes, and we present the exact Dirac quasinormal
modes. Also, we study the stability of these black holes under charged

A Study of the Texture Measurement Definition Problem (Image Analysis).
The problem of texture measurement definition is studied. A theory is presented in order to overcome the problem. This theory includes a conceptual framework for the general measurement definition problem. This framework is based on the concepts of a perceptual transform, a perceptual space, a measurement transform and a similarity transform. Using this conceptual framework and a particular choice for the similarity transform, a set of requirements are defined. These requirements can be used to create a formal method for defining measurements off the GLC matrices. The formal procedure is based on preserving perceptual relationships among textures. To apply this technique a perceptual norm, a least-squares procedure and a synthesis procedure are needed. Each of these components are investigated and the motivation for selecting each of the methods used is presented. Individually, these components are tested in order to see if they are appropriate for use with our technique. Finally, a feasibility study is discussed to demonstrate the possibility of using this technique to solve for measurements. The problem was to define measurements given a limited number of textures. The defined measurements are studied in order to establish their contributions. It is shown that the newly defined measurements are gauging the periodicity and the symmetry of patterns, perceptual entities that have been demonstrated to be important in the human vision system

Faculty of Color and Collective Memory Work: An Examination of Intersectionality, Privilege, and Marginalization
As a means of highlighting new possibilities for interrupting White privilege, and supporting and honoring critical community building among faculty of Color in teacher education programs, this paper offers the theoretical and methodological resources of collective memory work as a tool for interrogating teacher education\u27s entanglements in the complex, yet normalized, processes of White privilege. This paper, written by three faculty members of Color, aims to provide hope for an escape from the construction of hierarchies, taxonomies, and White/non-White binaries that establish and enforce arbitrary boundaries that prevent people from different racialized groups from working together to disrupt White privilege and oppression
Greybody Factors of Massive Charged Fermionic Fields in a Charged Two-Dimensional Dilatonic Black Hole
We study massive charged fermionic perturbations in the background of a
charged two-dimensional dilatonic black hole, and we solve the Dirac equation
analytically. Then, we compute the reflection and transmission coefficients and
the absorption cross section for massive charged fermionic fields, and we show
that the absorption cross section vanishes at the low and high frequency
limits. However, there is a range of frequencies where the absorption cross
section is not null. Furthermore, we study the effect of the mass and electric

El presente trabajo busca investigar, por los trazos generados en las redes sociales,
enfocándonos especÃficamente en Twitter como objeto de investigación, cuál es el
alcance o grado de conexiones de los diversos candidatos a la presidencia en las
elecciones ocurridas en América Latina en 2018. Fueron analizados Paraguay,
Colombia y serán hechos los análisis de Brasil. Como resultado los números
conseguidos y los gráficos generados poseen un alto grado de informaciones, al
punto de poder definirse qué candidato está mejor posicionado en las redes y con
cuáles temas impacta/aporta al debate polÃtico, además de en general reflejar su
peso real en el proceso electoral
