An Explanation of Japan\u27s Product Liability Law

    Get PDF
Japan has been contemplating the implementation of a product liability system since 1972. After much discussion, the Product Liability Law (Law No. 85 (1994)) was finally promulgated on July 1, 1994. It came into force one year later on July 1, 1995. In Japanese the law is called Seizōbutsu Sekinin Hō. The original article explains the law\u27s historical significance and practical impact. It is commentary in style and is meant to serve as a basic guideline to help both consumers and businesses understand their respective rights and obligations under this new law

A new Indian mission will be opening soon in his district, and Madden would like Finley to come and bring any other preachers or friends he thinks proper to a camp meeting in May. He reports that another mission under his purview, the Grand River mission, is prospering. Abstract Number - 758https://digitalcommons.owu.edu/finley-letters/2264/thumbnail.jp

Optimum design of high speed prop rotors including the coupling of performance, aeroelastic stability and structures

    Get PDF
An optimization procedure is developed for the design of high speed prop-rotors to be used in civil tiltrotor applications. The goal is to couple aerodynamic performance, aeroelastic stability, and structural design requirements inside a closed-loop optimization procedure. The objective is to minimize the gross weight and maximize the propulsive efficiency in high speed cruise. Constraints are imposed on the rotor aeroelastic stability in both hover and cruise and rotor figure of merit in hover. Both structural and aerodynamic design variables are used
