    Pengaruh Rasio Gaya Apung dan Gaya Tenggelam Surface Gill Net terhadap Hasil Tangkapan di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Desa Kranji Kecamatan Paciran Kabupaten Lamongan

    Tampilan gill net di dalam perairan dipengaruhi oleh gaya internal dan gaya eksternal yang bekerja pada alat tangkap. Gaya-gaya tersebut diantaranya gaya berat, gaya apung dan gaya hidrodinamika. Bekerjanya gaya tersebut akan mempengaruhi tampilan gill net didalam air. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya pengkajian tentang rasio gaya apung dan tenggelam terhadap surface gill net. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengatahui pengaruh perbedaan gaya apung dan gaya tengelam surface gil net terhadap hasil tangkapannya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Desa Kranji Kecamatan Paciran Kabupaten Lamongan dengan menggunakanan metode deskriptif, analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisa komparatif yaitu membandingkan antara hasil pengamatan dengan literature dan menggunakan Rancangana Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan uji Anova. berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penentuan besar kecilnya gaya apung dan gaya tenggelam pada gill net bergantung pada sasaran hasil tangkapan. Gill net yang dioperasikan di permukaan harus memiliki total gaya apung yang lebih besar dari total gaya tenggelamnya. Ikan-ikan yang tertangkap kebanyakan dengan cara terbelit atau terpuntal. Anova yang diperoleh yaitu Fhitung ˂ Ftabel, maka H0 diterima yang artinya dengan adanya perbedaan gaya apung dan tenggelam pada surface gill net yang ada di Desa Kranji tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil tangkapannya. Analisis hasil dari uji anova tidak berbeda nyata dengan perbandingan gaya apung dan gaya tenggelam pada jaring insang permukaan, dikarenakan perbedaan ketegangan dan terbukanya tubuh jaring di perairan tidak begitu besar sehingga kemampuan untuk menangkap ikan baik secara terjerat atau terpuntal dari ketiga sampel tidak berbeda. Ikan dominan tertangkap diantaranya adalah ikan kembung (Restreliger kanagurta), ikan layang (Decapterus ruselli), ikan layur (Trichiulus savala) dan ikan gulamah (Pseudocienna amovescis)

    BACKGROUND: The Muir-Torre syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant condition and is currently considered a subtype of the more common hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer syndrome, in which multiple primary malignancies occur together with sebaceous gland tumors. CASE PRESENTATION: We describe a case of a 62-year-old woman with three primary colorectal tumors, genital tumor, and sebaceous adenomas and present her family history of three generations. Our case represents the first case reported from Greece in the international literature. CONCLUSION: Recognition of the syndrome in patients with sebaceous gland tumors should facilitate early detection of subsequent malignancies if the patient is entered into appropriate screening programs

    A Usability Evaluation of Privacy Add-ons for Web Browsers

    The web has improved our life and has provided us with more opportunities to access information and do business. Nonetheless, due to the prevalence of trackers on websites, web users might be subject to profiling while accessing the web, which impairs their online privacy. Privacy browser add-ons, such as DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery and Privacy Badger, extend the privacy protection that the browsers offer by default, by identifying and blocking trackers. However, the work that focuses on the usability of the privacy add-ons, as well as the users’ awareness, feelings, and thoughts towards them, is rather limited. In this work, we conducted usability evaluations by utilising System Usability Scale and Think-Aloud Protocol on three popular privacy add-ons, i.e., DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery and Privacy Badger. Our work also provides insights into the users’ awareness of online privacy and attitudes towards the abovementioned privacy add-ons; in particular trust, concern, and control. Our results suggest that the participants feel safer and trusting of their respective add-on. It also uncovers areas for add-on improvement, such as a more visible toolbar logo that offers visual feedback, easy access to thorough help resources, and detailed information on the trackers that have been found

    Pengaruh Intensitas Penggunaan Aplikasi Free Fire terhadap Kemampuan Sosial Anak

    Memainkan game ini dapat menyebabkan kecanduan yang sulit untuk dilepas sehingga dapat menimbulkan dampak penurunan kemampuan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan aplikasi free fire terhadap kemampuan sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 3 sampai kelas 6 yang bermain free fire dengan intensitas minimal 1 jam sehari di sekolah yang berada di Desa Wonokerso dengan sample penelitian terdiri dari 100 siswa, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang rendah, signifikan dan juga berarah positf. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji korelasi spearman rank yang dilakukan, dimana nilai koefisien korelasi menghasilkan nilai sebesar 0,313 yang berarti kedua variabel memiliki hubungan yang rendah. Nilai signifikansi menunjukkan hasil 0,002 < 0,5 artinya hubungan antara dua variabel sifnifikan dan arah hubungan menunjukkan positif artinya intensitas penggunaan aplikasi free fire berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan sosial anak

    Assessment of offshore wind power potential in the Aegean and Ionian Seas based on high-resolution hindcast model results

    In this study long-term wind data obtained from high-resolution hindcast simulations is used to analytically assess offshore wind power potential in the Aegean and Ionian Seas and provide wind climate and wind power potential characteristics at selected locations, where offshore wind farms are at the concept/planning phase. After ensuring the good model performance through detailed validation against buoy measurements, offshore wind speed and wind direction at 10 m above sea level are statistically analyzed on the annual and seasonal time scale. The spatial distribution of the mean wind speed and wind direction are provided in the appropriate time scales, along with the mean annual and the inter-annual variability; these statistical quantities are useful in the offshore wind energy sector as regards the preliminary identification of favorable sites for exploitation of offshore wind energy. Moreover, the offshore wind power potential and its variability are also estimated at 80 m height above sea level. The obtained results reveal that there are specific areas in the central and the eastern Aegean Sea that combine intense annual winds with low variability; the annual offshore wind power potential in these areas reach values close to 900 W/m2, suggesting that a detailed assessment of offshore wind energy would be worth noticing and could lead in attractive investments. Furthermore, as a rough estimate of the availability factor, the equiprobable contours of the event [4 m/s ≤ wind speed ≤ 25 m/s] are also estimated and presented. The selected lower and upper bounds of wind speed correspond to typical cut-in and cut-out wind speed thresholds, respectively, for commercial offshore wind turbines. Finally, for seven offshore wind farms that are at the concept/planning phase the main wind climate and wind power density characteristics are also provided. © 2017 Takvor Soukissian, et al
