AbstractThis research is background by the lack of integration between mathematical reasoningand students' critical thinking skills in mathematics. The facts obtained from interviewsshowed that the assignments were given to students still use the questions contained inthe books, so that students have not fully used their reasoning to think critically. A goodassignment should be a task designed with attention to student response patterns so thatepistemological obstacles that often arise can be overcome. This study aims to develop amathematical reasoning assignment design by providing a counter example (CE), withCE students can explore related assignments so that they can foster students' criticalthinking skills. This research was didactical design research which involved six studentsusing written tests and interviews. The results of the study revealed that the assignmentdesign with CE could reveal the presence of learning obstacle that hindered students'critical thinking skills and able to overcome the learning obstacle. The conclusion is thatstudents' critical thinking skills have developed after being given a mathematicalreasoning design through the provision of CE, this is shown by the post-test average score(62.56) which is higher than the pre-test average (15.03).Keywords: Task Design, Counter Example, Critical Thinking Skills, MathematicalReasonin

The reasons for conducting this research are that some teachers have taken inappropriate learning strategies and that students’ mathematical disposition and mathematical communication ability in learning are still low. The Didactical Design Research (DDR) method begins with preliminary study on 28 eighth graders (junior high schoolers), aiming at exploring the students’ learning obstacles to develop a micro didactic design. This micro didactic design is then implemented to the same students, after being subjected to validation process. The research results indicate that the learning using micro didactic design can minimize students’ learning obstacles and this, eventually, positively contributes to students’ mathematical communication ability and disposition in materi algebraic factorization. From the data analysis results, it is found that the price of effect size for micro didactic design learning on mathematical communication ability is 1.07, and from Table Z it is found that its contribution is 35.77%. Meanwhile, the price of effect size for micro didactic design learning on mathematical disposition is 0.2, and from Table Z it is found that its contribution is 7.93%

This research is motivated by the limited support given to students in understanding the concept of trigonometry. This study aims to describe the potential of student learning trajectories at certain trigonometry angles. Qualitative research methods were used by archiving research objectives and with tests followed by interviews with six students of class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 3 Sanggau. After analyzing the data, it was revealed that the test results could not describe the potential of student learning trajectories. However, after following up with supporting interviews, it was revealed the potential trajectory of their learning about certain points of view. The achievement of exploring potential learning trajectories between students' cognitive structures through providing support in trigonometry special angle material can be seen in the following indicators. As much as 90% of the number of subjects, know the elements in trigonometry comparisons. 85% of the subjects were able to conclude and find trigonometry comparisons of special angles with the unit circle. 85% of the subjects were able to accurately find the values of the ratio of special angles using the unit circle, but were still constrained because the method used was new and had never been taught by subject teachers at school. As much as 90% of the number of subjects were enthusiastic in learning and actively participating during research because the material provided by researchers provided new experiences for students. This was found by researchers during the second interview. Suggestions that can be conveyed based on the results of this study, are that teachers and prospective teachers should be more creative in choosing learning models in applying learning trajectories to build potential student learning trajectories in an effort to increase cognitive knowledge in conceptual understanding of mathematics
