Some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities in the class of hyperbolic p-convex functions
In this paper, obtained some new class of Hermite-Hadamard and
Hermite-Hadamard-Fejer type inequalities via fractional integrals for the
p-hyperbolic convex functions. It is shown that such inequalities are simple
consequences of Hermite-Hadamard-Fejer inequality for the p-hyperbolic convex
function.Comment: 11 page
Quantum Mechanical Treatment of the Problem of Constraints in Nonextensive Formalism Revisited
The purity of Werner state in nonextensive formalism associated with two
different constraints has been calculated in a previous paper by G. B. Bagci et
al. [G. B. Bagci et al., Int. J. Mod. Phys. 20, 2085 (2006)]. Two different
results have been obtained corresponding to ordinary probability and escort
probability whereas the former has been shown to result in negative values
thereby leading authors to deduce the advantage of escort probabilities over
ordinary probabilities. However, this results have been only for a limited
interval of q values which lie between 0 and 1. In this paper, we solve the
same problem for all values of nonextensive index q by using a perturbative
approach and show that the simultaneous use of both types of constraint is
necessary in order to obtain the solution for whole spectrum of nonextensive
index. In this sense, the existence of these different constraints in
nonextensive formalism must not be seen as a deficiency in the formalism but
rather must be welcomed as a means of providing solution for all values of
parameter q.Comment: 7 page
Horizontal and vertical distributions of copepods were investigated based on zooplankton samples collected during March 2012 at 10 stations in Aegean Sea. A total of 83 copepod species were identified. Copepods dominated the zooplankton assemblages at almost all stations. More than 70% of copepods were found in the upper 100 m layer. Using cluster analysis, five groups of samples differing on distribution of adult and copepodite stages of copepods and hydrological characteristics were determined
Economic evaluation of ASCOT-BPLA: Antihypertensive treatment with an amlodipine-based regimen is cost-effective compared to an atenolol-based regimen

However, permission to reprint/republish this material must be obtained from the Publisher. Objective: To compare the cost effectiveness of an amlodipine-based strategy and an atenolol-based strategy in the treatment of hypertension in the UK and Sweden.
Design: A prospective, randomised trial complemented with a Markov model to assess long-term costs and health effects.
Setting: Primary care.
Patients: Patients with moderate hypertension and three or more additional risk factors.
Interventions: Amlodipine 5–10 mg with perindopril 4–8 mg added as needed or atenolol 50–100 mg with bendroflumethiazide 1.25–2.5 mg and potassium added as needed
Main outcome measures: Cost per cardiovascular event and procedure avoided, and cost per quality-adjusted life-year gained.
Results: In the UK, the cost to avoid one cardiovascular event or procedure would be €18 965, and the cost to gain one quality-adjusted life-year would be €21 875. The corresponding figures for Sweden were €13 210 and €16 856.
Conclusions: Compared with the thresholds applied by NICE and in the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare’s Guidelines for Cardiac Care, an amlodipine-based regimen is cost effective for the treatment of hypertension compared with an atenolol-based regimen in the population studied. The study was supported by the principal funding source, Pfizer, New York, USA
Violation of Energy Bounds in Designer Gravity
We continue our study of the stability of designer gravity theories, where
one considers anti-de Sitter gravity coupled to certain tachyonic scalars with
boundary conditions defined by a smooth function W. It has recently been argued
there is a lower bound on the conserved energy in terms of the global minimum
of W, if the scalar potential arises from a superpotential P and the scalar
reaches an extremum of P at infinity. We show, however, there are
superpotentials for which these bounds do not hold.Comment: 16 pages, 4 figures, v2: discussion of vacuum decay included, typos

Exact Spin and Pseudo-Spin Symmetric Solutions of the Dirac-Kratzer Problem with a tensor potential via Laplace Transform Approach
Exact bound state solutions of the Dirac equation for the Kratzer potential
in the presence of a tensor potential are studied by using the Laplace
transform approach for the cases of spin- and pseudo-spin symmetry. The energy
spectra is obtained in the closed form for the relativistic as well as
non-relativistic cases including the Coulomb potential. It is seen that our
analytical results are in agrement with the ones given in literature. The
numerical results are also given in a table for different parameter values.Comment: 8 page
Multitrace Deformations of Vector and Adjoint Theories and their Holographic Duals
We present general methods to study the effect of multitrace deformations in
conformal theories admitting holographic duals in Anti de Sitter space. In
particular, we analyse the case that these deformations introduce an
instability both in the bulk AdS space and in the boundary CFT. We also argue
that multitrace deformations of the O(N) linear sigma model in three dimensions
correspond to nontrivial time-dependent backgrounds in certain theories of
infinitely many interacting massless fields on AdS_4, proposed years ago by
Fradkin and Vasiliev. We point out that the phase diagram of a truly marginal
large-N deformation has an infrared limit in which only an O(N) singlet field
survives. We draw from this case lessons on the full string-theoretical
interpretation of instabilities of the dual boundary theory and exhibit a toy
model that resolves the instability of the O(N) model, generated by a marginal
multitrace deformation. The resolution suggests that the instability may not
survive in an appropriate UV completion of the CFT.Comment: 18 pages, minor changes, references added. Version accepted by JHE

Inequalities for α-fractional differentiable functions
Abstract In this article, we present an identity and several Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for conformable fractional integrals. As applications, we establish some inequalities for certain special means of two positive real numbers and give the error estimations for the trapezoidal formula
