    Affecting Factors of the Exclusive Breastfeeding Giving in the Public Health Center Workplace at Lingkar Timur in Bengkulu City Year 2017

    The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still low, in 2007 32%, in 2012 27.1%. Likewise Bengkulu Province, especially in East Circle Health Center 45.1% while the national target of 80%. Many factors affect the exclusive breastfeeding of knowledge, age, motivation, employment and promotion of infant formula. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding. This research was conducted by cross sectional method in mothers who have babies aged 7-12 months totaling 106 respondents (total sampling). Locations in Working Area Puskesmas Lingkar Timur on May-June 2017. Data were collected univariate, bivariate and multivariate analyzes using Chi Square test and multivariate logistic regression test. Results: a study of 106 mothers with babies 56.6% did not give exclusive breastfeeding, 57.5% less knowledge, 66.0% age 20-35 years, 80.2% high motivation, 59.4% working mothers, 67 , 0% are not exposed to the promotion of formula milk. (P = 0,00 RP = 5,60) and promotion of infant formula (p = 0.00 RP = 8.20) is associated with exclusive breastfeeding, whereas the age variable (p = 0.27 RP = 1.57) is not associated with exclusive breastfeeding. The most dominant factor is knowledge (p = 0,00 Exp (B) = 15,909). Suggestion: It is expected to improve exclusive breastfeeding, health workers should establish breastfeeding mothers\u27 classes with more intensive counseling. And the need for policies to provide appropriate sanctions against violations

The results indicate that nominal or symbolic economic factors for their services and such psychological aspects as patience and peacefulness were determinant in the choice of bidan kampung. Social relationship among bidan kampung and the clients in rural society contribute to the their existence

    Effectiveness of Giving Putri Malu Leaf (Mimosa pudica Linn) and Kangkung Leaf (Ipomoea reptans) in Overcoming Insomnia on Pre-menapousal Women

    Insomnia is a sleep disorder in the form of repetitive difficulty to sleep or maintain sleep with symptoms always feel tired throughout the day. Insomnia increases in women aged 44-45 years due to decrease estrogen and progesterone level in the body especially gets worse during menopause. This study was intended to know the effectiveness of giving Putri Malu leave (Mimosa pudica Linn) and Kankung Leave (Ipomoea reptans) in overcoming insomnia for pre menapouse women in Bengkulu City 2016. There were 40 pre menapouse women divided by two groups, 20 women were given boiled water of  putri malu leave  (Mimosa pudica Linn) and another 20 women were given boiled water kangkung leave (Ipomoea reptans). The average length of sleep per day in pre-menopausal women who consumed Putri Malu leaf (Mimosa pudica Linn) had longer than women   who consumed Kangkung leaf (Ipomoea reptans). The effectiveness differences among women  who consumed putri malu leaf (Mimosa pudica Linn) were seen from day 1 to day 7 with p = 0,00. While in the group of women who consumed kangkung leaf (Ipomoea reptans) did not significantly  approved (p> 0.05) in overcoming insomnia

    Kekerit which contains grains, rhizomes, and medicinal plants commonly consumed by the puerperal mother in Imigrasi Permu  Village of Kepahiang Regency, it was believed to be useful to restore health. The study was to find out the culture of consuming kekerit snack on postpartum mothers to restore health. A qualitative study of ethnographic approaches was performed on mothers who had given birth at Imigrasi Permu Village in April-October 2017 to 7 core informants and 5 additional informants with a purposive sample and snowball techniques through an in-depth interview to data saturation. Data analysis was using an editing analysis model. The result showed that Kekerit was a snack consisting of 30-40 ingredients and become a cultural snack for postpartum mother that useful for warm the body, reduce bloating and appetite. Development of kekerit snack is needed with further research, socialization, and cooperation to improve the product quality so it is feasible to be good healthy food and using local wisdom

The data for the research were obtained from interviews with selected mothers, bidan kampung, midwives and religious leaders from the Binuang district, South Kalimantan. The results indicate that nominal or symbolic economic factors for their services and such psychological aspects as patience and peacefulness were determinant in the choice of bidan kampung. Social relationship among bidan kampung and the clients in rural society contribute to their existence
