The legal discourse represents a variety of specialized communication characterized by several distinctive characteristics, originating both in the existence of a specific vocabulary, but also in the discursive particularities inherent to this type of communication. In discussing normative texts, in this article, we are going to focus on a set of features which are representative of the particular linguistic structure of such texts. These features currently affect what the specialists in legal linguistics consider to be the primary obstacle to any type of legal communication – the lexis. We shall therefore underscore the problems specific to the different categories defined within the so-called “legal vocabulary”: words belonging primarily to the legal field, words that belong to two different fields, as well as the support vocabulary and collocations

This report represents the first description of tricuspid valve dysplasia in a Basset hound. We evaluated clinical signs, ECG abnormalities and echocardiographic findings related to tricuspid valve dysplasia in a 6 month Basset Hound. A specific protocol of cardiologic examination was performed every time the patient was evaluated. This protocol included: clinical exam, ECG and echocardiographic investigation. The clinical examination identified over the entire period of surveillance a dog with good body condition score (2.5-3/5), alert, bright, being able to take moderate exercise. A 4/6 left heart base systolic murmur was identified at every examination. ECG revealed a sinus rhythm. Echocardiography identified right heart abnormality, with malposition of tricuspid annulus, one leaflet being short and thick and other extremely long with abnormal motion. Due to abnormal morphology of tricuspid valve apparatus a tricuspid regurgitant jet was noted with Color Doppler. The left heart seemed to have normal morphology. An atrial septal defect was also noticed. Further studies need be performed in order to establish if tricuspid valve dysplasia in Basset hound is a congenital or genetic defect

La structure factitive-causative faire+Inf. du français et ses equivalents en roumain

This article is about factitive-causative structures in French and Romanian, presenting the linguistic means by which causality is expressed in both languages and showing evidence of the divergences between them. The semantic and pragmatic criteria upon which the choice of means of expression depends in the constructions discussed are also analyzed. One of the conclusions of the article, at the level of contrast, is that in Romanian there are three factitive constructions in complementary distribution: two factitive verbs, a face and a pune, and one lexical factitive, covering the area of the French factitive verb faire, which has a rich polysemy and a more marked value of generality

In the attempt to draw a definition to the business topics of the current period, we report to a string of descriptive key words, which appeal to a growing amount of assets, other than the physical/tangible ones. Thus, the most used words/keywords are: knowledge, skills/abilities or talents and the successful leaders that can use/exploit them productively, to achieve competitive advantage, become the key individuals in the business organizations. This is partly due to the "promise" that "the world of intangibles" guarantee to the modern corporate success. Thus, knowledge has become valuable resources in the current competitive chaos. The issue of this paper focuses on how knowledge are used in business organizations, where they can be located within the organization domain and which is their shelf life/their term of validity comparing to the one of those tangible/physical

Through this approach, we aimed to show which are the role and the place that women obtained, over the time, in the process of states economic development. Thus, the structure of this paper can be reduced to two fundamental objectives. As a first step, we have shown the correlations between diminishing the gender disparities (especially the occupational inequalities) and the economic growth of the states, and in the second part of the paper we showed, pragmatically, considering the so-called conventions and estimation prerequisites, the actual contribution of Romanian women to GDP. Among other things, we highlighted the dynamics of the employment rate at European and national level and we gave the example of some of the most successful women-leaders, who, through their pattern of thinking and conduct, draw the profile of the most powerful women in the world

The financial crisis of 2007 has caused a number of global changes. As was normal, financial institutions, and within those the credit institutions are getting special supervision and regulation. Especially at the level of the European Union, the regulation and supervision of the banking sector reached some limits not previously seen. The present work deals with the causes and the effects regarding the regulation of the Romanian banking system. As well it has been enumerated the main legislative acts that have a significant impact on the Romanian banking activity. We came to the conclusion that we are witnessing an overregulation, whose impact is insufficiently analyzed and that has multiple effects on the economy in a negative way. We are witnessing as well an attack on the market economy, which is still in an emerging phase in Romania. We also find that there is a tendency to offer social protection to certain categories of bank customers, without the banks having this role
