Se comunica no solamente con las palabras, sino también con la forma en cómo se dicen y la manera en cómo se actúa, con los gestos, la distancia, la mirada, la postura, la forma de vestir; por lo tanto, es imposible no comunicarse. Todas las acciones, se convierten en mensajes para los usuarios, que se dirigen al mostrador de la Unidad Administrativa, de un Centro de Salud. El comportamiento no verbal puede repetir, enfatizar, contradecir, complementar o incluso sustituir el comportamiento verbal. De aquí parte la frase, "una imagen vale más que mil palabras"

    Thiazole Moiety: An Interesting Scaffold for Developing New Antitumoral Compounds

    Currently, cancer is one of the major health problems of the human population and prominent cause of death. Thiazole ring has demonstrated many pharmacological activities including anticancer. This scaffold has been found alone or incorporated into the diversity of therapeutic active agents such as tiazofurin, dasatinib, and bleomycin, which are well-known antineoplastic drugs. Recently, most of the compounds isolated from natural sources containing thiazole moiety exhibit notable cytotoxicities and present antitumor potential. In this context, several structural changes have been made in the original structure, such as the incorporation of different substituents or the fusion with other carbo- and heterocycles, in order to increase the antitumoral potency. Related to mechanism of action of these derivatives, some of them act through kinase modulation, polymerization inhibition of microtubule, pro-matrix metalloproteinase activation, signal transducer activation of transcription 3, histone deacetylase inhibition, etc

    The present study investigates the application of the artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT as an innovative educational technology to improve the quality of learning in the area of Language and Literature. Through an exploratory approach, it analyzes how ChatGPT influences student-machine interaction and its impact on the learning process. Aspects such as content comprehension, text generation, and feedback provided by the tool are examined. The results offer insights into the potential of ChatGPT to optimize the educational experience in the linguistic and literary realm, highlighting possible pedagogical implications and areas for improvement for future implementations of similar technologies. This study contributes to the understanding of how artificial intelligence and mainly ChatGPT, can be effectively integrated into education, specifically in the teaching of Language and Literature, providing students with the opportunity to improve their writing and comprehension skills through interaction with an advanced language model and providing immediate and personalized feedback. ChatGPT can help students identify grammatical errors, improve their writing style, and develop analysis and synthesis skills, using machine learning to generate responses based on the context provided, allowing it to interact naturally with users, opening new avenues for the design of more interactive and enriching educational environments.El presente estudio investiga la aplicación de la herramienta de inteligencia artificial ChatGPT como una tecnología educativa innovadora para mejorar la calidad del aprendizaje en el área de Lengua y Literatura. A través de un enfoque exploratorio, se analiza cómo ChatGPT, influye en la interacción estudiante-máquina y su impacto en el proceso de aprendizaje. Se examinan aspectos como la comprensión del contenido, la generación de texto y la retroalimentación proporcionada por la herramienta. Los resultados ofrecen perspectivas sobre el potencial de ChatGPT, para optimizar la experiencia educativa en el ámbito lingüístico y literario, destacando posibles implicaciones pedagógicas y áreas de mejora para futuras implementaciones de tecnologías similares. Este estudio contribuye con la comprensión de cómo la inteligencia artificial y principalmente el ChatGPT, puede ser integrada de manera efectiva en la educación, específicamente en la enseñanza de Lengua y Literatura, brindando a los estudiantes la oportunidad de mejorar sus habilidades de escritura y comprensión a través de la interacción con un modelo de lenguaje avanzado y proporcionando retroalimentación inmediata y personalizada, ChatGPT puede ayudar a los estudiantes a identificar errores gramaticales, mejorar su estilo de escritura y desarrollar habilidades de análisis y síntesis, para ello, utiliza el aprendizaje automático y genera respuestas basadas en el contexto proporcionado, lo que le permite interactuar de manera natural con los usuarios, abriendo nuevas vías para el diseño de entornos educativos más interactivos y enriquecedores

    The impact of the relationship commitment and customer integration on supply chain performance

    Purpose This study aims to show how to improve supply chain performance through the relationship between firms and their customers. In doing so, this study examines the impact of a firm’s relationship commitment and customer integration on supply chain performance. The aim is to detail a way to increase supply chain performance through the relationship between companies and their customers. Design/methodology/approach The empirical analysis was based on a survey on 205 corporate-Egypt multi-industry businesses including manufacturing, retailing, wholesaling and shipping services firms. Data collection was through a questionnaire survey distributed to 1,264 senior managers with responsibilities in the field of supply chain, logistics, purchasing, marketing and operations and with a 16% response rate. A conceptual model was designed, and hypotheses were analysed with covariance-based structural equation modelling. Findings This study makes a significant contribution to the supply chain management (SCM) literature by examining the influence of firms’ relationship commitment on supply chain performance in the supply chain management context by means of the disaggregation of customer integration into two dimensions: integration with customer (IWC) and integration by customer (IBC). The findings indicate that firms’ relationship commitment does not relate directly to supply chain performance, but rather indirectly through integration both with and by customers. Research limitations/implications This paper outlines a conceptual model in which firms’ relationship commitment relates indirectly to supply chain performance. The model also sheds light on the fact that IWCs precedes IBCs in supply chains. This finding suggests that firms should focus on customer integration to improve supply chain performance. Practical implications This study offers a particularly refined understanding of the reasons behind and situations in which supply chain integration (SCI) enables firms to gain superior supply chain performance. In fact, firms focusing on customer integration may improve their supply chain performance, thus enhancing the value of the supply chain. Originality/value This study contributes to the literature by considering a relational view of the SCI-Performance path. In particular, by disaggregating customer integration into IWCs and IBCs, this paper verifies customer integration acting as a mediator between relationship commitment and supply chain performance in supply chains

    The role of supply chain integration between integrated information technology and financial performance – a disaggregated framework and findings

    Purpose To examine the role of supply chain integration (SCI – i.e. supplier integration, customer integration and internal integration) between integrated information technology (IIT) and financial performance (FP). Design/methodology/approach An explanatory sequential mixed-methods study was conducted, collecting quantitative data first and then examining the quantitative results with in-depth qualitative data from a sample targeting manufacturing and services firms in Egypt. Findings This study indicates that IIT relates positively to SCI, which in turn relates positively to FP. Main enablers/mechanisms and disablers/barriers for those linkages are identified. Research limitations/implications After establishing the linkages between ITT, SCI and FP in the quantitative phase of research, a qualitative phase based on follow-up interviews provide deeper understanding about mechanisms and contexts behind those linkages. Practical implications Offer firms guidance to assess IIT, SCI and FP. Originality/value With a disaggregated framework of IIT, SCI and FP, this study contributes by answering a need for development of a methodological toolbox of the field in supply chain management, with a rigorous use of mixed method research, as a way of departing from the normal approach to help researchers in providing a deeper and richer understanding of supply chain problems

    La percepción del profesorado de Educación Física sobre los efectos del programa de responsabilidad personal y social (PRPS) en los estudiantes

    The purpose of this study was to assess the effects that five elementary school physical education teachers observed in their students applying the Personal and Social Responsibility Program (PRPS). The design of this study was a qualitative one and their guide-questions: The PRPS had effects on students? What kinds of effects? There were differences among students regarding the degree of influence of the PRPS? The �purposeful sampling� consisted of five physical education elementary public school teachers (4 men and 1 woman) from Comunidad Valenciana, (Spain), with a mean age of 29.4 years. Data collection included two semi-structured interviews (total 10) and a focus group with teachers who applied the PRPS with the purpose to know and deep about the program's impact on students. For analysis the data we identified the following categories: 1. General effects of PRPS; 2 Thematic effects; and 3. Individual differential effects. Findings indicate that all teachers participating in the programperceived benefits on the vast majority of their students, especially at Level I of PRPS: �Respect the rights and feelings of others�. They also noted that the effects of PRPS were higher in those students who had not internalized positive or negative models in their behaviours.El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar los efectos que percibieron en sus alumnos cinco maestros de educación física de Educación Primaria que implementaron el Programa de Responsabilidad Personal y Social (PRPS) en sus clases durante dos cursos escolares. El diseño del estudio fue cualitativo y sus cuestiones: ¿El PRPS tuvo efectos en los estudiantes? ¿Qué tipo de efectos?, ¿Se observaron diferencias entre los estudiantes respecto al grado de influencia del PRPS? La muestra �a propósito� estuvo formada por cinco maestros de educación física (4 hombres y 1 mujer) de Educación Primaria de cinco centros escolares públicos de la Comunidad Valenciana, con una media de edad de 29,4 años. Los datos se obtuvieron a través de dos entrevistas semiestructuradas (total 10) y un focus group al profesorado que aplicó el PRPS con el objeto de conocer y profundizar sobre los efectos del programa en los estudiantes. Para el análisis de los datos se establecieron las siguientes categorías: 1. Efectos generales del PRPS; 2.Efectos temáticos y 3. Efectos diferenciales individuales. Todos los maestros participantes en el programa percibieron beneficios sobre la gran mayoría de sus alumnos, sobre todo respecto a los objetivos del Nivel I del PRPS �Respetar los derechos y sentimientos de los demás�, a saber:resolver los conflictos a través del diálogo, evitar exclusiones de los compañeros y hablar respetando el turno de palabra. Además, observaron que los efectos del PRPS son mayores en aquellos estudiantes que no tienen unos modelos de comportamiento bien interiorizados sean éstos positivos o negativos

    Exploring the Chemistry of the Mechanical Bond: Synthesis of a [2]Rotaxane through Multicomponent Reactions

To access the final edited and published work see https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.jchemed.3c00163The synthesis of a [2]rotaxane through three- or five-component coupling reactions has been adapted to an organic chemistry experiment for upper-division students. The experimental procedure addresses the search for the most favorable reaction conditions for the synthesis of the interlocked compound, which is obtained in a yield of up to 71%. Moreover, the interlocked nature of the rotaxane is proven by NMR spectroscopy. The content of the sessions has been designed on the basis of a proactive methodology whereby upper-division undergraduate students have a dynamic role. The laboratory experience not only introduces students to the chemistry of the mechanical bond but also reinforces their previous knowledge of basic organic laboratory procedures and their skills with structural elucidation techniques such as NMR and FT-IR spectroscopies. The experiment has been designed in such a customizable way that both experimental procedures and laboratory material can be adapted to a wide range of undergraduate course curricula

    Características de los artículos publicados en las revistas 'Matronas Profesion' y 'Enfermeria Nefrológica' durante los años 2001-2004

    Objetivo. Conocer las características de los artículos publicados en las revistas Matronas Profesión (MP) y Enfermería Nefrológica (EN) durante los años 2001- 2004. Diseño. Estudio observacional, descriptivo y transversal. Material y métodos. Las unidades de estudio fueron todos los artículos publicados durante estos 4 años en ambas revistas, excepto los editoriales. Se confeccionó una parrilla para efectuar el vaciado de las revistas. La recogida de los datos se realizó de manera independiente por dos personas para garantizar la fiabilidad de la información. Se recogió información sobre las características de cada uno de los artículos, de los autores y de las referencias bibliográficas. Sobre los artículos originales también se recogió el tipo de metodología utilizada, cuantitativa o cualitativa. Resultados. Se han analizado 188 artículos, 80 (42,6%) de MP y 108 (57,4%) de EN. Los más frecuentes en EN han sido los artículos originales (47,2%) y en MP los de formación continuada (36,3%). El principal tema de estudio de EN ha sido la hemodiálisis (41,7%) y de MP el parto (15%). El número de autores por artículo es similar (4) en ambas revistas, así como las comunidades autónomas con más producción (Cataluña, Andalucía y Madrid), aunque con diferente distribución en ambas revistas. Conclusiones. La revista EN presenta el mayor número de trabajos originales y la revista MP tiene una mayor calidad en el apartado de bibliografía. Cada una de las revistas presenta algunos aspectos que deberían mejorar para aumentar su calidad científica
