    Bridging Digital Divide and Rural e-Goverment (Smart Kampung): Evidence from Banyuwangi, Indonesia

    Currently humans can not be separated from using of technology. The more complex the problem, the need for technology continues to be sought. Unfortunately, even though technology is needed, digital divide still occurs. Digital divide occurs at all levels including at the local level. Villages in Indonesia require the penetration of information and communication technology in an effort to improve the quality of life. This study aims to explain the relationship and dynamics that occur with the presence of ICT at the government level with rural communities in Banyuwangi district. Furthermore, this study seeks to illustrate the impact on the development of ICT at the village level. The results showed that internet penetration was still a deterministic technology rather than a deterministic socioculture. The internet and rural e-government as its derivatives are like goals, not tools to achieve goals. The digital divide still seems clear. This is due to five main dimensions, namely the technical dimension, economic inequality, skills inequality, inequality of use, and inequality of social support. The impact then occurs technology alienation. For the village, digital inequality is not merely a matter of these five dimensions, but also means social, economic, political and cultural inequality. Technology plays an important role in providing intelligent and friendly public services to the community. There is a power relationship in the digitalization of technology in the field of public services in the form of domination of power over the community. Technology is a must to be accepted and applied by society

    Desa UMKM Rejowinangun ialah salah satu desa di Kecamatan Kademangan Kabupaten Blitar yang terdapat berbagai macam usaha mikro  kecil dan menengah. Salah satunya adalah Omah Jenang Blitar yang memproduksi berbagai jenis jenang ketan khas Blitar secara mandiri. Namun, semenjak mewabahnya COVID-19 di Indonesia pendapatan mereka mengalami penurunan karena adanya berbagai kebijakan selama pandemi, seperti  penerapan PSBB oleh pemerintah setempat yang menyebabkan berkurangnya jumlah pengunjung Omah Jenang Blitar sebagai pusat oleh-oleh dan wisata edukasi. Adanya permasalahan tersebut memerlukan sebuah strategi agar produk UMKM tetap laku di pasaran meskipun terhambat pandemi COVID-19. Sehingga strategi pemasaran produk UMKM perlu digencarkan. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu dengan pemetaan media sosial, sosialisasi, praktik fotografi produk UMKM, evaluasi kegiatan, monitoring dan pemasaran. Program pengabdian bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi mengenai strategi pemasaran yang dapat memulihkan perekonomian masyarakat. Hasilnya UMKM Omah Jenang semakin dikenal masyarakat luas sehingga produk yang ada semakin laku di pasaran

    Gender equality still becomes a sensitive issue in Islamic educational institutions, especially in pesantren, a traditional Islamic educational institution. There is a strong assumption that in the socio-religious tradition of pesantren, women's subordination still practices widely. However, some pesatren take serious attention to overcome this issue through their daily activities within pesantren. One of which is Pesantren Sabilurrosyad in Malang, East Java. This article aims to elaborate on the realization of gender justice in the pesantren. This research uses a qualitative approach through observation and in-depth interviews with the board members of pesantren, as well as its male and female students. The results showed that the Pesantren Sabilurrosyad had implemented the values of gender justice in their socio-religious activities. The implementation forms include providing opportunities for female students to become head of student association; female students are given freedom to recite the Koran directly to the kyai; and female teachers (ustadzah) are given the opportunity to share in one forum with male students.Kesetaraan gender masih menjadi isu sensitive di lembaga pendidikan Islam, khususnya di pondok pesantren. Terdapat anggapan bahwa dalam tradisi sosial-keagamaan di pesantren  subordinasi perempuan masih terjadi. Hal ini menjadi perhatian bagi beberapa pesantren yang ingin menjadikan isu ini sebagai bagian dari aktivitas pesantren, salah satunya adalah Pondok Pesantren Sabilurrosyad di Malang. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi perwujudan keadilan gender di pondok tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap para pengurus ponpes dan santri putra dan santri putri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pondok pesantren Sabilurrosyad telah mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai keadilan gender dalam tradisi sosial-keagamaan pesantren. Wujud implementasi tersebut diantaranya adalah memberikan kesempatan kepada santri putri untuk menjadi ketua pondok, santri putri diberikan kebebasan untuk mengaji langsung kepada kyai, serta pengajar putri (ustadzah) diberikan peluang untuk bersama 1 (satu) forum dengan santri putra
