Aim%253A Gubernaculum dentis guides the tooth eruption. This formation, which disappears after teething, continues to exist in impacted teeth. This study aimed to evaluate the gubernacular tract in patients with impacted%252Funerupted teeth who had previously received Cone-beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) for a variety of reasons. Material and Methods%253A In this study, the presence and characteristics of the gubernacular tract were evaluated according to age, gender, tooth groups, root development stages and positions of the teeth. 231 patients were included in this study. A total of 431 teeth were evaluated and the mean age of the patients was 28.0plusmn%253B0.90. Impacted teeth were classified according to their location. The presence and features of the gubernacular tract were evaluated using CBCT. Results%253A In the study, the presence of gubernacular tract was most common in canines. The mesioangular and vertical position of impacted teeth exhibited higher gubernacular tract presence, and these data were statistically significant. (Plt%253B0.05) Conclusion%253A This study stated that the frequency of incidence in the tooth groups was evaluated separately, it was determined that the incidence in canine teeth was significantly higher. Characteristics gubernacular tract such as no change, obliteration or contraction are more common in impacted teeth in vertical and mesioangular positions. This process may affect the impact of permanent teeth, but more studies with clinical follow-up are needed to reach definitive conclusions

In Rural Areas Internet Connection Problems and Solution Recommendations Experienced in The Process of Using Smart Agriculture Methods in Olive Farming

The olive is one of the most important crops grown in the Mediterranean region, both in terms of total surface area and its socioeconomic and environmental impacts. Olive and olive oil are the essential components of the Mediterranean diet and are largely consumed in the world. It is very significant to provide economic and environmental sustainability by better managing scarce natural resources in olive farming. Modern planting systems, mechanization and digitalization are taking place rapidly in olive farming around the world. In Türkiye, olive production mostly is done with traditional methods, and most producers belong to rural communities. The rise of new technologies, such as the Internet of Things, is expected to contribute to the increase of the productivity of agricultural and farming activities by improving yields and reducing cost. Olive fruit fly is the primary pest of olive and causes a significant amount of yield and quality losses. Using early warning systems could accurately determine the spraying times by using climate data in the control of diseases and pests in olive orchards. In this research%253B at the workshop organized within COMMECT, an EU HORIZON project (Project aims to contribute to a balanced territorial development of the EUs rural areas and their communities by making smart agriculture) the views of 65 selected olive producers on the use of early warning systems, their connection status and the problems experienced were evaluated. As a consequence in this study connection problems and solution recommendations were underlined and recent developments in this area were discussed with cost-effective and environmentally friendly approaches

Ethnomusicology Matters:Influencing Social and Political Realities

This book gathers international voices from the field of ethnomusicology discussing the socio-political relevance of the discipline. The articles draw from contemporary discourses that take into account the role of music and dance in shaping social and political realities. An important field connected to political relevance is heritage, either in connection with the UNESCO or with archives. Ontologies of indigenous groups and their relevance in knowledge production is discussed in ethnomusicology nowadays as well as the possibilities of decolonising the discipline. Two articles from ethno-choreology explore dance from the gender perspective and in the post-socialist political structures. Different approaches from applied ethnomusicology deal with social justice, participatory dialogical practice, and the socio-political relevance of performance. Forced migration is seen as comprehensive topic for future ethnomusicology. The contents of the book mirror influential discourses of ethnomusicology today that will definitely shape the future development of the discipline

This thesis aims to analyze the property issue in the Cyprus conflict from 1974 up to 2012 based on historical and legal factors. First of all, the historical background of the Cyprus conflict will be evaluated with its different dimensions. After the EU and UN’s involvement, the conflict internationalized and regarding the geostrategic importance of the island with the security concerns in the Middle East region the core of today’s conflict became the property issue. In this respect, especially both the Turkish and Greek Cypriots proposals about property issue will be detailed one by one. Following that, based on these proposals the Turkish and Greek Cypriots cases to the ECHR about property issue will be analyzed. In the light of these the overall solutions to the Cyprus conflict will be evaluated.M.S. - Master of Scienc

Osteosarcoma comprises 23% of head and neck malignancies. Studies show that 6% to 9% of all osteosarcomas are seen inthe maxilla and mandible. In osteosarcoma in jaws, the survival rate is higher and the risk of metastasis is lower compared toosteosarcoma in the extremities. The gold standard in osteosarcoma diagnosis is computed tomography and magneticresonance imaging. ‘Sunray appearance’ is a common radiologic finding of sarcomas. A 29-year-old male patient received to ourclinic with pain and swelling in the right mandible. Extra-oral examination revealed that facial asymmetry and significantswelling in the right mandible. On the cone beam computerized tomography examination, a lytic, mixed lesion area wasobserved with conical shaped root resorption around the mandibular right second premolar and first molar tooth roots.Ultrasound examination revealed that thinning, expansion, and erosion of the buccal cortical bone and 'sunray appearance' inthe mandible. Cone beam computerized tomography and ultrasound have become an important diagnostic technique for theevaluation of maxillofacial pathologies. Ultrasound imaging is a rapid technique that aids in the early and differential diagnosisof pathologies. Sunray appearance is a pathognomic finding for osteosarcoma. In present case report, diagnosticultrasonography is the second case in the literature used in osteosarcoma of the mandible. Keywords: Cone beam computed tomography, jaw osteosarcoma, sunray, ultrasonography </p

Bite-wing radiographs are one of the most used intraoral radiography techniques in dentistry. AI is extremely important in terms of more efficient patient care in the field of dentistry. The aim of this study was to perform a diagnostic evaluation on bite-wing radiographs with an AI model based on CNNs. In this study, 500 bite-wing radiographs in the radiography archive of Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology were used. The CranioCatch labeling program (CranioCatch, Eskisehir, Turkey) with tooth decays, crowns, pulp, restoration material, and root-filling material for five different diagnoses were made by labeling the segmentation technique. The U-Net architecture was used to develop the AI model. F1 score, sensitivity, and precision results of the study, respectively, caries 0.8818–0.8235–0.9491, crown; 0.9629–0.9285–1, pulp; 0.9631–0.9843–0.9429, with restoration material; and 0.9714–0.9622–0.9807 was obtained as 0.9722–0.9459–1 for the root filling material. This study has shown that an AI model can be used to automatically evaluate bite-wing radiographs and the results are promising. Owing to these automatically prepared charts, physicians in a clinical intense tempo will be able to work more efficiently and quickly
