Con este análisis ponemos en práctica la teoría de Greimas sobre la semiótica generativa del lenguaje plástico para entender cómo funciona, experimentar con ella y llegar a ser capaces de utilizarla de manera empoderada.; Semiotics is not an act of reading; but an attitude of exploration of what is background in all meaning, its roots and the machines that support it. Plastic semiotics of Algirdas Julien Greimas falls within the soft technologies that can be explored to protect the resource depletion of artistic practices. The founder of A.J. Greimas ‘Figurative semiotics and plastic semiotics’ article is the basis of this work which is described in detail as the level of expression and its corresponding joint plane contained in a two-dimensional work articulates. The artist Henrri Matisse analyzed, reflected and rationalized on art with his artistic practice, his way of working was similar to that of a semiotician, why has chosen this genius of art to put the theory of semiotician Greimas in practice, his work Barnes Dance (1932-1933), is key to his career. With this analysis we practice the theory of generative semiotics Greimas on plastic language to understand how it works, experiment with it and become able to use it empowered way

The breakage planes of bones have diversely been used to classify breakage patterns. However, no diagnosis seems to be currently valid to differentiate between humans and carnivores as the main breaking agents. This work presents the results of experimentation focused on the analysis of the angles of each plane between the cortical and medullary surfaces resulting from breakage. It is shown that this approach can be fairly resolutive since both types of agents break bones through different physical processes (percussion and pression) which produce different angles in each fracture episode, as a result of the use of dynamic and static loading processes.

An approach to the figurative and plastic analysis of the work "The Dance " for Stschoukine (1909-1910) of 260 x 391 cm done in oil on canvas by the French artist Henri Matisse (1869-1954). The interpretation of the work will be based on an articulation model that synthesizes in one, the Gestalt and structural perspective, following the theoretical assumptions of the French semiologist Algirdas Julien Greimas. "The Dance " for Stschoukine is Henri Matisse's greatest work of persevering pictorial research, centered on the pictorial articulation of expression and content. This work supposes a turning point within the radical period of his production (1905-1916), laying the foundations of the unpublished and reflexive artistic work of the genius.; Aproximación al análisis figurativo y plástico de la obra "La Danza" de Stschoukine (1909-1910) de 260 x 391 cm realizada en óleo sobre lienzo por el artista francés Henri Matisse (1869-1954).

Synergism interaction between genetic polymorphisms in drug metabolizing enzymes and NSAIDs on upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage : a multicenter case-control study

Interindividual genetic variations contribute to differences in patients' response to drugs as well as to the development of certain disorders. Patients who use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may develop serious gastrointestinal disorders, mainly upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage (UGIH). Studies about the interaction between NSAIDs and genetic variations on the risk of UGIH are scarce. Therefore, we investigated the effect of 16 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) involved in drug metabolism on the risk of NSAIDs-induced UGIH. We conducted a multicenter case-control study of 326 cases and 748 controls. Participants were sub-grouped into four categories according to NSAID exposure and genetic profile. We estimated odds ratios (ORs) and their 95% confidence intervals (CI) using generalized linear mixed models for dependent binomial variables and then calculated the measures of interaction, synergism index (S), and relative excess risk due to interaction (RERI). We undertook stratified analyses by the type of NSAID (aspirin, non-aspirin). We observed an excess risk of UGIH due to an interaction between any NSAID, non-aspirin NSAIDs or aspirin and carrying certain SNPs. The greatest excess risk was observed for carriers of: rs2180314:C>G [any NSAID: S = 3.30 (95%CI: 1.24-8.80), RERI = 4.39 (95%CI: 0.70-8.07); non-aspirin NSAIDs: S = 3.42 (95%CI: 1.12-10.47), RERI = 3.97 (95%CI: 0.44-7.50)], and rs4809957:A>G [any NSAID: S = 2.11 (95%CI: 0.90-4.97), RERI = 3.46 (95%CI: −0.40-7.31)]. Aspirin use by carriers of rs6664:C>T is also associated with increased risk of UGIH [OR: 2.22 (95%CI: 0.69-7.17) vs. OR: 7.72 (95%CI: 2.75-21.68)], yet larger sample size is needed to confirm this observation. The joint effect of the SNPs s2180314:C>G and rs4809957:A>G and NSAIDs are more than three times higher than the sum of their individual effects. Personalized prescriptions based on genotyping would permit a better weighing of risks and benefits from NSAID consumptio

AIM: To assess if a healthy diet might attenuate the positive sedentary-inflammation relation, whereas an unhealthy diet may increase the effect of sedentary behaviors on inflammatory biomarkers. METHODS: In 618 adolescents (13-17 years) of the European HELENA study, data were available on body composition, a set of inflammation markers, and food intake assessed by a self-administered computerized 24 h dietary recall for 2 days. A 9-point Mediterranean diet score and an antioxidant-rich diet z-score were used as dietary indices and tested as moderators. A set of low-grade inflammatory characteristics was used as outcome: several cytokines in an inflammatory ratio (IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, TGFβ-1), C-reactive protein, three cell-adhesion molecules (sVCAM-1, sICAM-1, sE-selectin), three cardiovascular risk markers (GGT, ALT, homocysteine) and three immune cell types (white blood cells, lymphocytes, CD3). Sedentary behaviors were self-reported and analyzed as total screen time. Multiple linear regression analyses tested moderation by diet in the sedentary behaviors-inflammation association adjusted for age, sex, country, adiposity (sum of six skinfolds), parental education, and socio-economic status. RESULTS: Both diet scores, Mediterranean and antioxidant-rich diet, were significant protective moderators in the effect of sedentary behaviors on alanine-transaminase enzyme (P = 0.014; P = 0.027), and on the pro/anti-inflammatory cytokine ratio (P = 0.001; P = 0.004), but not on other inflammatory parameters. CONCLUSION: A higher adherence to the Mediterranean diet or an antioxidant-rich diet may attenuate the onset of oxidative stress signs associated by sedentary behaviors, whereas a poor diet seems to increase inflammation
